 The Kaarii Contest
This going to be a continuous contest run by yours truly. However, rather than being held on an annual or monthly basis, a new contest will begin when I have the free time. After all, I'm going to be judging all the entries personally, so I can't afford to spend who-knows-how-long at my computer during, say, exam time. Not to fear however; Kaarii has A LOT of free time on her hands, so there should be a contest going almost always.
Considering this is going to be held in a fanfiction guild, this is going to be a fanfiction ONLY contest. No particular type of fanfiction is required for entry, so feel free to pick from any genre (anime, TV, video games, etc.). However, I will lean towards fics that revolve around a fandom I'm familiar with, which can be found in the second post of this thread.
First Place: 1o, ooo G
Second Place: 5, ooo G
Third Place: 3, ooo G
Judge: Kaarii
Theme: Crossovers
Contest Ends: January 31, 2oo8

Rules
I. NO plagiarism. If you're caught you'll be banned from entering the contest again.
II. Stories should be no shorter than 250 words and no longer than 5000.
III. Please, stick to the theme
IV. Basic grammar and punctuation is a must. Run your entry through a spell checker, too. I'm not expecting perfection, but I'm not going to read something that has a comma every other word or doesn't have capitalization.
V. I doubt it needs to be said, but just so we're clear, no flames.
VI. No poems.
VII. You aren't restricted to one shots. Feel free to enter a chapter in one of your fics if it fits the theme.
VIII. Since this is a fanfiction contest, keep your characters in character. I'm not going to tolerate an over-emotional Byakuya or a compassionate Kreia.
X. If your entry is over PG-13 please put a warning.
XI. One entry per person.
More rules will be added as I see fit.

Yay! I didn't think those two would count as a crossover since there are some FFVII characters in KH so I wanted to be sure.

Could I make my story a flashback for one of the characters in another one of my stories? I would make sure that I can stand on it's own as a story.

sweatdrop I totally spaced when I posted that. Well not totally, only kind of. I can't write crossovers for my life. The way my brain works, I just cannot connect two stories form different fandoms. I have done one crossover between two of my FanFics, but they were both related to Naruto, so I don't think that really counts. I think I'll wait until this contest if over and see what the next one is...
