I think Japanese food is really unique, and the candy is awesome along with most of the junkfood. Although I'm not a fan of seafood so that kind of cancels a lot of things. Although I don't mind vegetarian sushi/crab sushi.
I like a few Japanese dishes including chicken, such as yakitori and teriyaki chicken. I also like ramen and fried rice... the authentic stuff and the cheap s**t.

I like japanese food, but I don't like fish or most sea food. Though I love shrimp...but this is a problem because fish is like a huge part of their food. That makes me sad, but I do love everything else, hehe.

A year or two ago my tiny school (under 300 students in both senior/junior high combined) had a Japanese exchange student and she force-fed me a soft candied seaweed stuff. I loved it <3.
I love anything with noodles or chicken in it, so it's not too hard for me to like Japanese gourmet; but I can't stand fish so... I suffer the same problem as a lot who've posted above xD.
