Most of you won't care... but oh well.

I'd liek to take the time to extend my congratulations to Australia's new Prime Minister - the awesome literati and all-round great guy, Kevin Rudd. Huge congratulations to him for winning last night's election in a LANDSLIDE... 88 seats in Parliament, to 57. That is a huge lead. Huge congratulations also for new deputy PM, Julia Gillard - the first woman deputy PM in Australian history - she is an inspiration to me smile .

Like former PM John Howard said, "Australia's best days lie ahead of her...", and with Mr. Rudd at the helm, that shall be proven true. Hail the Australian Labor Party *has a beer for them, and buys beers for all you Americans who have no idea what I'm talking about xD.

HAIL! wahmbulance

Higher taxes mean better services and better-maintained capital xD.

Omg really? That ******** sucks! You guys need to fire your congress (they're useless) and adopt the Westminster Parliamentary system - bypass corruption.

In Australia we get taxed a hell of a lot - we've even got a thing called GST (goods and services tax), which is a small additional tax on selected items. These go to building and maintaining capital, and goes back in the form of benefits and welfare (the welfare thing is a bit screwy and I don't agree with it entirely). So yeah in short... our taxes come back to us in varied forms O.o

Well that one dude that lived like 200 years ago in the United States was right, it will take 1000 years for this country to fully develop. I guess we still got 768 years left! That is if the world doesn't end before that!

And your selection of politicians doesn't help either. Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton? Guh.. And if there is an electorate stupid enough to vote for someone like Bush then it's rather unfortunate that you Americans still have a majority population with an IQ as low, or even lower than his xD.

Another flaw in your election system is that voting is not compulsory. If it was, I don't think Bush would've EVER been president.

I'm hoping the conservatives die off so that a you and Dani's generation (well... the smart ones such as yourselves, not the emos, wiggas and tarty bitches) can go about changing your country for the better.

Well, I just think it's funny that people have a less approval rating of Bush than they do of herpes! Also we need people who know what the hell they are doing. At first I was all for the idea of Obama becoming president, he is a great speaker, he's intelligent, young, powerful, and he is truly the ideal image of what America stands for today! We like people who are normal and down to earth, much like Jonathan Davis for example xd

But then as I started to think about it more, the more those factors went against him. Being young can also mean being inexperienced. I like the guy so I don't want him to crack under pressure because he has had so little experience running a smaller office, now he's trying to run the biggest office in the Western Hemisphere! If he came back in four or five years I would be in favor of him then! As for Romney I really don't know...if he's gonna ban Mountain Dew someone should assassinate him! Lol (Mormon)

Hilary..eh..I truthfully never liked her but she does have some good ideas. The only thing is...she is too polarized. You either love her or you hate her. I know for a fact Wisconsin hates her! Lol we have two things, cold weather, and an undying hate for Hilary Clinton. So if she won then I have a feeling the nation would go under Martial Law...protecting us from our own people. Guilianni or however the hell you spell his name is pretty cool. He's got some fairly good ideas. Although 9/11 is his ultimate wet dream whee

When it comes down to it there is never going to be a president that is loved by everyone. Then when they run for a second term it is going to get to the point where we hate them so much they have a less approval rating then herpes...hate t say it but it happens. The only president I can really say that I am proud of is Roosevelt. He's the only guy that could have run for a third term (Unfortunately he died during his third term) but he is really the only president that had a higher approval rating then freakin God himself!

I wish we could have a President that doesn't suck a** =/ I'd vote for Obama if I were old enough, even though he is inexperienced. Even then, you can't exactly say all the guys who threw together what we now call the United States were experienced in politics.

Yeah your politics seems a tad more complicated, and your system is too centralized xD
