Story:
What if you were a teenage human who fell in love with someone of a different species? What if your parents were against it? Would you continue to love that someone, or would you move on and try to find a different love? In New York, there are other creatures living among the city’s rooftops, in the abandoned buildings, anywhere that they would be able to hide from humans. But what happens when a special human meets one of these creatures? And what happens when love sparks?

"Lynn! Lynn dear. Are you going to be coming to the main hall for dinner, or shall I get a servant to send it up?" Her mother asked.
Lynn stared out her window, into the night. "please, just get a servant to bring it up" she said absentmindedly.
"yes dear" her mother said, and left the room.
Lynn was always staring out her window, waiting for the day she could escape this place the rest of her family called home. She didn't belong there, she knew that.
The moon was full tonight. she could escape easily. her powers were strongest at this point.
She made up her mind. as soon as the servant came with the evening meal and left, she would be able to escape. the servant would see her there and would report back to her parents. It was then that she would slip out. No one would think to check on her for another couple hours and by then she would be long gone.
The servant came with the evening meal and left. It was mostly fruits and nuts. there was a little bit of cheese and some bread. Her family was vegetarian, so they never ate meat.
she dragged out a small bag from under her bed and put a change of clothes in it, all the money she had saved up and hidden in her room, and the nuts and bread from her evening meal.
Her wings, which could disappear and appear at will, appeared. She would use her invisibility magic to sheild her as she escaped.
Lynn quickly ate the berries and cheese from her evening meal before she grabbed her bag and stepped out onto the windowsill. Her sisters, she would miss, but her parent, not so much. they had never paid any attention to her because she was the middle child.
She jumped from the window, and flew off into the night. Her destination: New York.

Shade on a rooftop in New York, looking down at the humans as they walked on the sidewalk below. There were children, women, men. They had mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends, lovers, people they cared about. "Did I ever have anyone like that...?" he wondered, scratching the back of his head as he watched them. "Where'd I come from...? Why can't I remember anything?" The imp sighed, it had been like since he'd awoken in New York four years ago, alone. He sighed, propping his elbow on his knee, resting his head in his hand. He felt do lonely, he just wanted to know what had happened, why he'd been alone. Had his parents left him? Did he even have parents? Did he have siblings?
The imp sighed and stood up, looking towards the sky. It was a full moon tonight. He wondered if he'd ever had friends, or if there'd ever been a time when he'd looked up at the moon with someone else. "Why was I alone...? Did I do something? Was I thrown out...? It doesn't make any sense..."

Lynn landed in New York half way through the night. she dropped down in an alley and made her wings vanish before walking out onto the street. She walked with her head down, only glancing up every once in a while to see where she was going. Finally, she found a place to stay.
"as long as you can pay, I won't ask you anything. Not where you came from, where you're going, nothing at all" The landlady said.
"Thank you, lady" Lynn mumbled as she handed over her faery gold.
The lady nodded. "Faery, are you? I had a few of you pass by before." she shook her head. "not many of us humans still know you exist."
"I-I see..." Lynn continued to mumble. she was shy around everyone ecept her family. It was such a setback sometimes.
"Come now, let me show you your room." the Landlady said. "my name is Rose, by the way. don't hesitate to ask for anything."
Rose showed Lynn to a comfortable looking room. It looked lived in, but not so much that it was uninviting.
There was a stove and sink in the same room as the bed, and a chair in front of an old television.
"The washroom is through the door right over there" Rose said and pointed to the door next to the bed. "there's not much space, but it'll do if you're living alone. Here's your key" she gave Lynn a set of keys. "this one's to get into the house, and this one's to get into your room." she pointed at each key.
"T-thank you" Lynn whispered. "I'm tired. I-I think I'll rest..."
"You have a good night, then" she said and walked away.
Lynn closed and locked the door before going to sit on the bed. She sat there and nibbled on the food she had brought with her, waiting for morning to come, for her to close her eyes and drift off to sleep, or to get the urge to explore.
Lynn was terribly frightened, being in a new place. She was now in a world that didn't believe in Faeries, and who would shun her if they found out she existed. this was the only place she had thought to go, and now she wasn't so sure she wanted to be there. She sat there, huddled in a ball, shivering, waiting for something to happen...

Shade blinked as someone sat next to him, and turned towards them, looking at the female whom had sat next to him as if she were insane. "What the...what're you talking about???" he asked. He hadn't been saying those things out loud...he'd only been thinking to himself, how the hell had she known what he'd been thinking?! "Creepy..." "Who're you...? What do you want...?" he asked warily.
