Hunters of the Eternal Night's clan, gather 'round and prepare yourselfs for what may be the greatest events of your long lives! What fun is it to track down meals on your own? And what fun is it to stay a 'green hunter'? Want to share in the experience with others, or move up in rank? Well this is the place to do it! Below is are some guidelines you MUST follow for this type of event.
Hunting event: ???
*None- Rp only, meet up with fellow hunters, discuss technique, spar, brawl, hangout, or even plan your next expedition! Rp in this thread is seperate from rp in the main forum and does not effect situations or events held there unless you want it too. While rp'ing in here, the gargs are OUTSIDE and likely on a trek or on the look out for food.
*Page ???- Prey has been spotted and posted on a certain page. You can still rp the hunt out, but to 'catch' the animal you must roll the same number as the mule (Stone Guardian) in that particular post. Whoevre 'catches' the animal will go up in rank. However, it will not get you to alpha hunter, a special event will be held for that.
The familar advantage
If the gargoyle owns a feline or canine familar its chances at getting the prey increase.
Feline: If the gargoyle randos the number directly under the catch number it gets the kill. (example - 15 is the catch number, 14 would be the familar advantage.)
Canine: If the gargoyle randos the number directly above the catch number it gets the kill. (example - 15 is the catch number, 16 would be the familar advantage.)

[Becoming the Alpha]
To even be considered for the alpha position, a goyal must be at the elite rank and hold it for 5 more hunts at that rank. It does not matter if he or she catches the prey, however they must be active in said hunts and participate. That is only the first requirement for becoming alpha.
Secondly, those being considered must show their skills, expertice, and above all else cunning nature while on the hunts and off. Alpha's are expected to be 'good' leaders, meaning they can organize the group well and carry out plans of attack. There will be a special task given to an elite hunter who has participated in 5 or more hunts while holding their rank of elite. If the desired skills are shown, they will move on to the final task of becoming Alpha.
Lastly, those who have proven themselves must travel to Black Mist Valley, and hunt the ellusive, clever, and down-right dangerious King Boar. This event will be done in the style of a battle AND a hunt.
If the the second or third task is failed, the goyal may try again after another 3 hunts under its belt. Why is it so difficult? I need to know you're dedicated to becoming Alpha, since its one of the more important roles in the clan.

Sam smirked once again as the moon showed brightly. Her wings fluttered and her claws glinted. THis pully system should get her running the best part is she had Banshee randomly triping the wire so she never new when... it was off again. SHe raced after. After Bastet brought banshee to find her she had gradually developed herself into her work. She was going to be the best hunter....at the moment she was but... She had to get better. She dove and caught the flag easily. " Banshee you have to make it go faster..."
Banshee offered a coy smile "Sam...it doesnt go anyfaster...its going as fast as poor bastet and Bakar can run..." She smirked. "Im sure if you let them have a break they will run faster.." Sam smiled and sighed
"Fine fine...let them rest...would you like a drink? Im gonna go get one" HEr eye looked over the feild. She ddint see many hunters out and about...oh welll more time for her to practice.

Gwen walked onto the field, shielding her eyes from the light. She had brought her bow with her to train her eyes a bit, though the brightness was proving to be a bit of an issue. More to train with, a good thing but in the same sense rather annoying. "Raven, why don't you go help out Sam? She looks like she wants to go fast." The mother giggled, petting her feline to get a soft purr in response. It wasn't long before she had set up the archery course and was walking over to visit Sam and Banshee.

Banshee smiled and waved. "Hello Gwen." She nodded and looked at the archery coarse, Gwen was the only goyal she knew who would use a bow... SHe hsook her heaed and smiled. "Training?" She tippd her head toward the arrows and bullseye.
Sam Tossed a thing of water to banshee and took a swig of her own. "Want to race a bit... See who can go faster?" She smiled. It was one thing to have cats to pull and chase but having a race would get her running faster... BAnshee however refused every time.... Sam smiled. "Come on... It will be fun" although sam still didnt find gwen her closest friend she had gotten over it... mostly... Hunting was her life now... it made it easy to loose the pain.

Nodding Gwen tucked her bow on her back. "I'm nowhere near as good as Klen, I need to get better." The yellow huntress smiled back. "Besides, one of us needs to be good with a bow, else we won't be as sneaky." Another smile as she spoke. Gwenivere glanced over at Sam, hair falling in her face as she did so. "You're on Sam. First to make it to the castle and back?"

Flinching slightly at Klens name she nodded. it would be a small race.It would be good. "sounds good to me..."She nodded"All on foot though..." She nodded again. She was right now the top hunter...that had to count for something...it wouuld be the thought that kept her warm and fun... She smiled. "Alright ready...set..." She smirked "Go~" and jus like that she was off.
Long legs stretching in front of her she pressed her wings close to her back. She knew it would be close... She was brawnier then Gwen but She was still quick from tons of practice.

She giggled, tailing Sam as she took off. The smaller huntress didn't train as much as Sam did, but she was still fairly fast. Sure enough she was able to keep up quite well until it came time to turn. Gwen had thought it out in her head, instead of wasting time slowing down and turning she would push off the castle with a foot and attempt to speed up a bit that way.

Prey is spotted! As the two run about in their race, it happens to startle a hare from its resting position and sends it into a wild run away from its hiding place. ((You must roll the same number as my post to catch it.))

Gwen blinked, having sworn she had seen a hare. A potential meal for her children if she wasn't seeing things. Grateful for her bow being attached to her back still she pulled it out and took aim at the thing she had spotted, attempting to catch it. There was little doubt in her mind that she would try to catch it, it was something she could do for her family and possibly even move up in rank if she could catch bigger things.

Sighing, Klen grabed his rope and other weapons darting into the forest. These two could get the prey but he was used to hunting them by now. " I swear these two can't get a snail. " He laughed jokinly tom himself as he set a trap for the hare.

Sighing he wacthed the other as he carefully put his trap into place. Taking carefull note to hide from the rabbit's sight and hearing. " Lets see how it goes today." He wasn't in a hurry, since having his four kids he had learned pacience got what you wanted hte fastest than rushing it.

Taking in his pacience and slack in his line Klen wacthed the path. If the hare didn't show up he would set a trap into another location. It wasn't to hard he thought.
