Illuminatus walked into the Council room, armor gleaming softly in the low light. He waited patiently for Jet.

Jet walked in, his now white hair and blue cloak flowing behind him. He carried a rather large file and sat down in a chair beside where Illuminatus was standing. "I was looking through Saraga's files and I found this." Jet laid the file down on the table infront of Illuminatus. "It seems that a warrior from here was present on your planet and is responsiable for Serah's death." Jet awaited Illuminatus's reaction.

Illuminatus looked very calm, for reasons unknown. "I was responsible for her death, Jet. Sure, if I see him I'll kill him, but I have more important things to do than get lost in the past again."

Jet didn't move, sort of surprised. "Just thought you should know. I hope that Yuki doesn't change our friendship and the way we act, Illuminatus."

"That's not what I ment. Seth has also changed me for the better, but that was against my will. It is still up to Winter to complete the change. But like you, my powers and the way I use them will never go away. You have always known when to stop, you just have never wanted too." Jet smiled. "I'm glad for the changes that have apperantly happened to both of us and I do hope that they will only strengthen the 'bond' we have. I wish you luck with Yuki. Even a blind man can see what is happening to both of you. There will be no more secrets between us Illuminatus if you are willing to comply with that."

Illuminatus smiled. Not the cold, cruel smile that usually twisted his lips, but a real (however small) smile. "We're friends, Jet. We'll tell each other everything from now on. And I'll tell you something I haven't told Yuki- I have a suspicion that it wasn't the potion at all that changed me. I think it's her, but I don't want to make her think she has to be with me to save me. I want it to be her own choice, if she does indeed have feelings for me."

Jet nodded. "It's the same with me and Winter." Jet motioned for Illuminatus to sit down. "There were times when we were close and I thought that it was really happening, and then it became unclear again. I have no idea how she feels about me, but I know how I feel about her, no matter how she looks or what she does."

"I know what you mean. Just keep being yourself, and she'll come to you." Illuminatus said this with a friendly tone, but inside he was just as empty as before. A hole in the force, like Malachor, but without the darkness. He didn't believe that it was possible for someone to love him again, after how far he'd fallen.

"She's having a bit of emotional trouble. Currently she's hiding in a place where not even the Gods can find her. It's only safe to come out once in a while." Illuminatus said automatically. To temporarily lessen the emptiness inside him he often expanded his senses, letting the whole of Saraga wash over him like a tide of life and events. He rarely cared to pick out individual conversations, but was worried about Winter.

The words didn't comfort Jet but gave a little bit of rest. "I can see why. Atleast I still have my friends here all of the time. We need to hurry up and stop this thing with the gods so that Winter can come out all of the time agian."

"Something tells me that this is all tied to Malachor. And that I'll have to face it alone. I don't know where it will end, Jet, but I know that one day I'll have to return there. And I likely won't return." Illuminatus was resigned to his fate. "If you are resolved to stopping the Gods, you will likely be forced to Malachor as well. And you will face its horrors alone as well, for you are always alone, even in a crowd there." Malachor V It doesn't say much about the highly dangerous and corruptive power of the planet, though.>
