___//introductionFinding yourself wandering outside the city, the forest ahead of you calls to you, whispers your name and invites you inside. Naturally you're a bit leery of walking inside, the thick trees making the forest seem dark. But the voice is soothing and calm and, tentively, you begin your journey.
Once inside, the forest isn't as terrifying as you had thought. Around you the plants thrive and create a welcoming atmosphere. But you don't stop to admire the scenery. The voice still calls to you. After about an hour, the trees begin to thin out, opening up into a large grassy area. But what surprises you is the large manor in front of you. Being several story tall, the two large front doors are a welcome sight. The voice urges you to go inside.
As you move towards the large porch, the two doors swing open. There in the doorway now stands a smiling girl, her feline ears twitching just slightly, a long tail swaying behind her. "Welcome, newcomer, to the Catgirl Adoption Home! I'm glad you've finally gotten here. Please, come inside and meet everyone!" Without hesitating, the catgirl reaches out and takes your hand, happily pulling you inside.___//roleplay areas1. Adoption Home - This is the central area of RP which includes sitting rooms, a library, kitchen, large dinning room, play/game room, sunroom, bathrooms, and upstairs bedrooms.
2. Forest - The forest nearly surrounds the home and is not fully explored. There are streams, caves, and waterfalls but much more could be found.
3. Lake - This sits to the west side of the home, making for a beautiful sunset.
4. Sparring Arena - For those who like to train and fight, this would be the place to do it. The arena's essentially in the home's backyard.
5. Gardens - Mainly in the home's front yard, good for growing vegtables, fruits, and pretty flowers.___//history & objectiveThe Catgirl Adoption Home isn't just for catgirls or guys. The adoption home is opened to everyone and is limited to no species. So why name it Catgirl? The original adoption home was named that and the regulars simply couldn't part with the name. It wouldn't be the same.
The original Catgirl Adoption Home was created back in June 2003. When the owner didn't return after a while, the New Catgirl Adoption Home was created by one of the regulars in March 2004. Not too long after, the guild system was created and thread then became the Catgirl Adoption Home Guild in August 2004. Now, after three years, the guild has decided to bring back the thread in hopes of gaining new regulars.
The Catgirl Adoption Home is a roleplay hangout that extends outside the home itself. It's main purpose is for people to adopt and be adopted by others but everyone is welcome to just hangout and create their own little adventures. Sketch(CAHG) [mule]___//rules1. There's no set storyline to follow so make up your own or jump into one that's already going on. Feel free to have several storylines going on at once.
2. No power playing/godmodding/attention whoring/etc. A bit of drama, magic, and such won't hurt but don't go to the extreme because it's unfair and makes for a boring time.
3. Please be paitent when it comes to finding someone to adopt or finding someone to adopt you. Unless your character is a child, pouting and stomping your feet will get you no where.
4. Please clearly separate your In Character (IC) actions from your Out Of Character (OOC) actions.
5. Be nice and play fair. We're here to have a good time, remember? Only time this rule doesn't apply is when a storyline is in motion and has some sort of fighting or whatever involved.___//f.a.q.General
Q: Is this thread just for catgirls??
A: Nope. Anyone and everyone is welcome to hang out, adopt, and be adopted. The "catgirl" part is only for the name.
Q: Do I have to be a guild member too?
A: No, you don't have to but guild members have access to more CAH related events and such. It doesn't cost anything to join so there's no harm in joining.
Q: Do I have to role play if I hang out here?
A: Well, the sorta is the point of being here so yeah, you need to RP.
Q: Do I have to donate?
A: No, it's not required, but if you would like to donate then please do. If you do, please send your trade to the mule, Sketch(CAHG).
Q: What are the donations used for?
A: We hope to use the donations to help get things for the guild, either now or in the future. At some point, we'd like to set up a house in Towns for people to go and enjoy.
Q: Why is this thread/guild called the Catgirl Adoption Home?
A: As explained on the earlier, this is a continuation for the regulars of the CAH, old and new. We didn't want to change the name.

A: If you've got a question, please post it in the thread or the guild. If it's urgent then you may PM one of the thread mods.
Adoption
Q: Can I be adopted here?
A: Yes, you may. But be patient when getting an owner.
Q: Do I have to be a catgirl to be adopted?
A: Nope, all species and both genders are welcome and accepted. Don't let the name of this place scare you off.
Q: How can I be adopted?
A: You can either post in the adoption subforum in the guild or you can PM Sketch(CAHG) to have your name added to the list.
Q: How can I adopt someone?
A: You can either post in the adoption subforum in the guild or you can PM Sketch(CAHG) to have your name added to the list. Be patient. If you've found someone you'd like to adopt, you simply ask him or her if you could adopt him or her. If he or she says yes, congrats, you just adopted. No gold or paperwork is required.
Q: After adoptiong someone, then what?
A: Take care of him or her and give them attention and love. You don't have to give them gold or items; this isn't a charity.
Q: If I've already adopted or have adopted someone, can I still hang out here?
A: Of course. This place is already a hangout and home for many of the regulars.
Q: Can I be adopted by more than one person?
A: This you'll have to ask your owner about to make sure it’s ok with him or her. Personally, I have no problem with it.
Q: Can I adopt more than one person?
A: Yes, you may, but keep in mind that others wish to adopt as well so try not to adopt too many.
Q: If I'm abandoned/freed or free myself from my owner, can I be adopted again by someone else?
A: Yes, you may. Just head back the the adoption subforum or PM Sketch(CAHG) again to look for someone new.

___//newsletterThe original idea of the Newsletter was to send out a mass PM to those who wanted it to help inform people of CAH events and such. However, mass PMing has been disabled so we don't have an as easy way of doing this. But we still wish to try. If you would like to get the Newsletter so you can be kept informed, all you need to do is to add Sketch(CAHG) to your friendlist. If mass PMing is never released again then we will resort to either posting the Newsletter in Sketch's journal or profile. Keep an eye out for it!___//donationsDonations are not required by anyone but they can be very helpful. We've mainly used donations for the guild but we'd like to try and do more with it. One things we'd like to do is to create a large house in Towns for people to hang out in.
