Hello everyone I am still alittle new.. There was something that concearned me about Evangalism in Gaia........ It says in the word of god to go out and preach the Gospel EVERYONE of you in the name of Jesus christ Acts 2:38 . Well yesterday I was doing what God told me to do go out and preach..God also says to love the lord thy God with Everything you got. So I was out yesterday talking to people about the lord.. I wasnt even talking to this dude I was talking to a girl who wanted to hear about Jesus and yet this dude butted in twisted and said I was forcing religion on everyone in the room................This person proceeded to have me kicked off Gaia and I prayed about it and I was upsett and I left....This is redicioulus...how Gaia can use pentagrams and witchcraft symbols but yet when I want to bring Gods love to those who are in unbelief.. I get threatened..I mean what in the world are the limitations in Gaia could I get kicked off for having a conversation of God and yet people are Cussing at me for doing so..Isnt that Illeagal to cuss someone out especialy when your just a child doing the cussing...Is anyone else going through this persacution for spreading gods word? I know this is a lil Role play chat but you all are still real people who do need Jesus if you dont know him..does anyone feel me on this what can I do as far as limitations..I surely dont want to get stamped out . Whats the point of being on here if i cant talk about the lord to those in need... crying

Thats tough man. I'm sorry to hear you encountering such resistance. I'm going to look in to the TOS a little more thoroughly and try to find out if there is anything wrong with us doing this. If there is nothing wrong, then that will back us to evangelize. If that happens again, you can always ask the people you are talking to move the conversation to a more private location, like pms or your house in towns. Don't let this discourage you, lets find a way to do this right.

Ok, Gaia is very picky out keeping to the subject of the forum/thread that you are in. So my question for you is, where where you evangelizing at?

I know in the Morality & Religion forum they have this to say about it for that forum:

Proselytizing & Evangelizing

This is a forum for discussing and debating with others, not preaching at them. It's fine to discuss why you hold a given religious belief but it's not to simply present the belief as true and leave it at that. One is conductive to discussion and the other is not. For example, a topic telling others they need to accept Jesus for salvation doesn't belong in M&R - a topic discussing why someone thinks Jesus is necessary for salvation is fine.

If you want to try to convert others, do so in the Chatterbox. In this forum it is spam and will be warned for accordingly.

Usualy I Go to the ralies and preach to those who want to hear it...Keeping someone from Religious discussion isnt that COMUNISM..where does Gaia originate anyway china??? hmmmmmmmmmmm.............So crucify me. lol I will always stand up for my Jesus.Anyone with me ninja

Proselytising =/= pride. Gaia does not preach the wonders of Wicca to us. If you wish to show pride in Christianity through your avatar, wear the gigantic cross-thing they put out.

Gaia is a private site and can ban you for any reason whatsoever. It pisses me off too, because I've been banned simply for being, a far more inoffensive act than is doing.

1. Many people don't WANT Jesus. They've heard of him, they've tried him, they've apparently found him lacking in something, they've given him up. They come here to get AWAY from idiots like you.

Right now, in America, 70% of people claim to believe in God. This 70% actively tries to block people from enjoying basic rights. Women should be subservient to men, gays cannot get married, Wiccans cannot have their religion recognised by the state, Muslims are detained when crossing borders, people with visible physical defects are shunned in the streets and treated as mentally incapable in social interaction, Hispanics are treated as nothing more than servants in the south....

All these groups are considered outcasts in the U.S.A. Christians, being usually on the giving end of this discrimination, are most decidedly not. How DARE you claim that we are outcasts as Christians, when all this intolerance goes on all around you? How can you be so insensitive as to only notice when something happens to YOU, small and insignificant as both it and you are? Did you stop to wonder that maybe, possibly, there is a REASON people are so DISGUSTED when you proselytise?

Please cut down on the harshness of you argument with OzzyBornAgain, we all make mistakes and it is good to catch others on those mistakes, but please do so with loving words in a loving way. That is how Jesus wants us to communicate and help each other.

I don't think Gaia is specifically outlawing proselytizing but Gaia does want everything to be done in the right place. So, next time that happens, try to take those interested to a place where you will not be bothering anyone else.

Tere is more to loving god than just walking around with a cross its talk walk actions. Have you seen the cross it comes with a pentegram its not a christian cross its Gothic and its big and ugly lol thats all we get how much angel as to how much demonic???Its not right its mostly kids on this thing I checked pray for us we need it in America no o nes doin it!!

Gosh I was reading the post about religion and morality that one cannot proclaim jesus is the way to salvation ...I will always stand up and proclaim because it is a fact in gods word ...NO MAN CAN COME TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH HIS ONLY SON JESUS....and this is truth....If I get banned Ill come back again and again proclaiming this....I do believe we are all on the same page right???????say Amen dont be ashamed of the one god that is the differance between heaven and hell...............Maybe i am a fanatic if you dont like me than vote me out

Remember we must love one another, which involves acting like we do. Forgive and be forgiven.

Also if you want to go Proselytizing against the Gaia TOS, make sure you are willing to lose the items on your avi, because you will get banned as our friend Mein Kulturkampf has pointed out to us.

I suggest finding proper channels to preach the gospel. The chatter box has the most activity, so that would be a great place to start.

Ok what are the real issues here in holy warrior guild you tell me..................all the great apostles wer locked up for what they we preaching....and some killed! they wer Ideal examples of great leaders..Shadrack Meeshack and Obendigo wer thrown in a fiery furnace and daniel thrown to the lions but ...yet they wer untouched because of their EXTREME faith in GOD and Put their Lives On The Line For him....But I did not know this guild was for debate and Arguement I asumed being Christian Bro and Sis we were suposed to be sharing what we thought in loving ways. Instead foolishly Arguing and Acording to the Dictionary it means this---------> a formal contest in which the affirmative and negative sides of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers.

I understand that we are called to go out and preach the word, and some of us are lead to do so. But keep in mind we each have different gifts and God expects us to use our gifts according to what they are. Not everyone was meant to be an evangelist, for example: if your gift is counseling it would be wasted if you poured all your energy in to evangelism. This guild, like gaia, should be orderly in that you stay on topic and go to the appropriate thread to do what you want to do. By posting off topic and breaking the rules can you really expect anyone to listen to you seriously?

I think he meant that only some have the gift of speech. To do through actions is simply not enough. You must mean it.

Ok, I think I understand where the misunderstanding is.
First of all I believe I didn't type what I meant in the last post, and didn't proof read it before I sumited it.
Let me rephrase this.

Ok, everything in this thread has been on topic(give or take), but it was the argument that I had a problem with. We are to respect each other not name call or exchange fiery words.

As for you specifically OzzyBornAgain, where you tried to preach may have been out of place to some people and I was trying to come from that point of view. But as I think on it further you should have been about to preach there with out breaking any rules, unless someone had some rules specifically saying that was not allowed. I apologize for my misunderstanding. I think I just got to upset at the argument between you to that I made a few mistakes.
