NAME: DEEP SPACE DESCRIPTION: Deep Space encompasses the vast emptiness between habitable planets and star systems. It is nowhere and everywhere. In this area there is nothing but open space with stars, gas, and vast amounts of dust lightyears off in the distance. There is everywhere to run, but nowhere to hide, unless you get lucky and come out of warp into a nebula or massive dust cloud. But for the most part, deep space is full of just that. Space, and alot of it. If you are knocked out of warp for some reason during your travels you will exit into deep space, and you'd better hope your attackers are gentle, because if not, you may not see another star system for quite some time. LOCATION: Deep Space is in between any and all destinations unless a person has been traveling for enough days to reach a system by the time they are taken out of warp. PEOPLE: Chances are you'll meet two or three kinds of people in Deep Space. Pirates, rogues, and criminals, someone who answered your distress call and will help you, or the dead hulls of broken ships floating endlessly in the void. CLIMATE: It is very cold...in space. RESOURCES: Massive resources can be found in deep space, especially if you manage to find a dead hulk of a ship in the area to salvage equipment from. Though, this is almost NEVER the case. Other than that, its very cold, and very barren in this department. OTHER SYSTEM INFORMATION: The first thing you should do when entering Deep Space is to worry about your way out, because without that, you will likely become much more used to the void than you'd ever want to be...

Captain david was incredibly proud of himself seeing as he was selected by starfleet to venture deeper into the beta quadrant than any previous ship. Even though it would be several months there and back it was well worth it. We were smart enough to bring new book selections with us but this won't be enough...only 5 books? even though he was unfond of reading it would be better than nothing at all to occupy them.
a month went by and the captain had won the last three annual card games so people began backing off from his requests to play. The only noteworthy event really.
Two months had passed and david read through 2 books including moby d**k and war and peace. However he began growing weary of books already (and who could blame him? C'mon war and peace?)
the third month came to a close and the only event was the captain lost his first game in nearly 2 months and several rations with it.
Finally they were approaching the nebula.
There it is. reduce speed to 1/2 impulse He was tingling with excitement as he neared the landmark that was the nebula.

The USS Behemoth was once again travelling another 4 month journey back to deep space 12.
Two months into journey The behemoth was travelling at warp 6 to get home to deep space 12...the usual went on for the tiny crew, Captain winning poker, Engineer being an idiot by messing with the warp core (nothing serious happened however and it didn`t go on report due to strictly good intentions), and no encounters of any kind....with anything...ever. The captain was being called to meet some of his science officers who were monitering the particles. Sir, you do remember the particles we took in? well they are showing minimal signs of degredation in potency...apparently ANY energy near them within 2 meters disturbs them. However with our limited equipment and staff we cannot study them properly. The captain looked a bit confused So? Why not just leave them for starfleet to study? Well I said there was low degradation but even a bit more could cause them to lose their traits...we do want them intact right? And you know this how? Because they're radioactve...with a half life of 5 months, meaning some of the older ones may be really weak compared to before. David had a suprised and slightly alarmed look on his face. Radioactive huh? when'd you figure this out? Well a while ago...we sealed them off tight, set around a forcefeild, and set them farther into the cargo bay as a precaution so that the particles did less damage to anyone if at all. Well in time we forgot about em' but I remembered and went to check on em'....some were almost half as big then when we found them. I wasn't informed why? Well sir I told you but you were half asleep...maybe you forgot. David was slightly embarassed Oh... ehr....my bad.
The rest of the voyage however went on without incedent.

"Are we there yet?" Kevin joked as he entered the bridge. They had spent weeks of looking at nothingness and boredom was almost overwhelming the crew. Kevin had tried to think of something to inspire his crew but they were mercenaries and that meant going where ever money was to be made. With that thought he sat down at his chair and stared into the never ending darkness...

Approxmately 5 minutes from bakrus The Behemoth and her crew were finally nearing bakrus and were preparing to pick up their guest. All were worried but no one was quite as concerned as david was, it would be the first guest on his ship after all. Now approaching bakrus sir. Good. Reduce speed to one quarter impulse and prepare to orbit the planet. The captain replied. Aye aye captain. The small vessel slowly dropped out of warp and approached the planet.

" Ah finally!" Kevin said as he stared at it... they were almost there. They were within hours of enthering the debris field. "Good, we made good time the client should arrive in a few days." As he sat down he felt a wave of relief come over him, the wait was almost over and they would soon be doing something which would be a great change of pace compared to the trip.

Deathseide was just checking the results of the latest combat drill involving simulations using all the information they could get on Jacob, and on the firehawk cruiser class vessel, and was pleased with the efficiency of the crew in it, and had just ordered another drill, with other possible situations when Chennah turns, saying, "Sir, we are approaching the boundary between sectors f and g." With a nod, Deathseide says, "good, take us to yellow alert again, and begin scanning for warp traces.. i hope we get lucky..." After a second, Deathseide says, "and when we get in range, contact the Backrus outpost, maybe they can give us more information, and see if the stranded crew would like a ride." With a, "Yes sir." Chennah turns and carries out the orders.

It had been awhile since receiving the transmission regarding the escaped prisoner. The SS Eversor and her crew were approaching Bakrus on yellow when an alarm klaxon sounded. Jericho went from his usual light blue to a deep red. "Sensors detect another ship in the area, captain." "Is it the fire hawk?" "No sir, sensors indicate that it is of federation design, a Nova class " "Open a channel" "Channel open, sir" Captain Anderson spoke loud and clear, "This is Captain Anderson of the SS Eversor, please state your intentions here on Bakrus." He waited for a response from the other ship, hoping that they were here for Jacob Denning as well.

The Far Seeker was almost to the Bakrus system when alert klaxons blared. Deathseide turned in his chair as Neggarth says, "Sir, vessel approaching." Asking quickly, deathseide says, "Firehawk?" When Neggarth says, "No sir, it is a Talon class scout" Deathseide was just turning to Chennah when she turns, saying, "Sir, the Talon ship is hailing us, shall I open channel?" With a nod, Deathseide turns to the screen as it came alive, as the one adressing them introduced himself as Captain Anderson, and the ship as the SS Eversor. Replying to Captain Anderson, Deathseide says, as he absently smooths the fur of his hackles that the alarm raised.," This is Captain Deathseide of the USS Far Seeker, our purpose here is to locate and capture an escaped prisoner, considered armed and extremely dangerous." After letting a second pass, he continues with, "now it is your turn to state the reason for your presence here." Deathseide keeps his eyes on Captain Anderson, almost like a hunter measuring a potential prey.

It was apparent that the Far Seeker had gotten the hail when it opened a channel. Captain Anderson was slightly relieved that it was a Federation ship. Leaning forward a little he began to respond, "You have identified yourself as Captain Deathseide of the USS Far Seeker. We have been sent here...to kill you."
An audible gasp echoed across the bridges of both ships. Captain Anderson waited a moment to let the full effects of his words sink in before continuing to address the captain of the other ship. He laughed a bit as he spoke, "I just kidding, we are actually here for the same reasons as you. Tell me, how much do you know so far about our quarry?" He waited for a response, hoping he could find out some details from Star Fleet.

Deathseide's eyes narrow as Captain Anderson makes that joke.. and the only gasp was from the bridge of the Eversor, as a good portion of the bridge crew on the Far Seeker growled... When Captain Anderson said it was a joke, Deathseide relaxed, as did most of his crew, save for Neggarth, who, with the appearances of an honest request said, "Sir, should I lock phasers?" making it a point to consider this for a second, Deathseide says, "No, it will not be worth the paperwork, stand down Lieutenant." Turning back to captain Anderson, he says, "So far we have not much information to go on, what is available can be easily accessed in the open database network. though we have managed to piece together a lot of information, both on Jacob and the firehawk ship class he has stolen and have been preparing ourselves for the confrontation." Deathseide then says, "The crew of the ship that was stolen is in the station on Bakrus, maybe they can give more information that can help." He waits, while captain Anderson replies.

Now that his fun had been had he could get to work. Captain Anderson's demeanor changed instantly, his face was set in a serious manner. It was as if looking at a completely different person. "We have done our own research and have compiled a list of possible places Jacob might go. Immediately, we can rule out Deep Space 12, Bakrus, and the penal colony. The final search pattern will be dependent on the ships last know coordinates and heading." He looked off screen momentarily to press some buttons before addressing the Far Seeker again, "We will continue discussions of this matter once in orbit." Without another word he closed the channel. By now the SS Eversor had dropped out of warp and was proceeding at full impulse. They would be upon Bakrus momentarily.

Shaking his head after Anderson closed the channel, Deathseide says, "Helmsman, continue on course for Bakrus..." As the helmsman complied, deathseide mulls over the possibliities, until they reach orbit..

Entering Sector G-8:
Space is a very empty place. That was one of the first things that raced through Kelvinar's mind as he woke from his restless slumber. His face had been right next to one of the windows in the Runabout. His cot lay near the very back, a thin, nearly transparent screen had been strung between his cot and the rest of the crew's. The veil was a soft white. However, it didn't stand out harshly against the darkness. It mixed in rather well and created an almost hazy appearance. The white of the cloth supplemented the green covering of his blanket that lay over him. He had easily fell into a sleepful state with the aid of this blanket. It trapped heat rather well and was fiercely reluctant to release it to the cold environment of the ship's stale air. Something that Kelvinar had tried to fix many times over...
His head pivoted lazily on the connected neck to face out the window. Bright patches of light appeared to whizz by at unfathomable speeds. Slowly diminishing trails of the same, mysterious light followed closely behind. They looked like shooting stars on a dark, stary night back on Earth. Or, better yet, Beta Cestus III. Since the planet was a good size bigger then Earth and didn't have the intervention caused by Jupiter, there were a great deal more shooting stars that could be seen on Cestus III. If one was to stay awake up through an entire night, which was difficult from the soothing warm nights and sounds of the forests, one might be able to count almost more than a dozen shooting stars. Kelvinar enjoyed this much more than anything else...
There had been quite a few transmissions from StarFleet during their time traveling to the Typhus Debris Field. Kelvinar had ignored most of them and had decided to put off listening them until about tomorrow. One of them had caught his interest. It was about how a Class: Talon Scoutship had taken interest in the same mission that Kelvinar was on, and decided to offer some assistance. Whether this was on the Captain's own free will or under orders, Kelvinar saw this as a great opportunity to work with StarFleet for once, and instead of blaspheming them behind their backs like he had during the Battle above Cestus III. Perhaps, the Captain was even another Independent like Kelvinar...
Forget that, he though quickly. Many people in the Quadrant claimed to have no allegiance to anyone. That maybe true or not, but Kelvinar didn't care. He himself did have an Allegiance, though, most considered him an Independent. What none of them realized, except for Captain Ryan of the USS Trinity, was that his Allegiance was to the people of Beta Cestus III. He had no lust for power or for territory. But, of recently, he had thought about it at the urging of some of his Officers. They had recommended the planning of a future course of action of the Rebel Movement. After the liberation of Beta Cestus III, what would happen? Kelvinar had thought long and hard about this. Perhaps... the Cestus System could be made into something more than just another colony. Maybe, another Riza? What about the other planets? Kelvinar would have to think...
But, alas, sleep overtook him just as easily as it had let him go...
