Here we can suggest anime or manga that perferablly isn't well known.
Code Geass 10
Action, adventure, fantasy, slight romance
This is an awesome series full of action and adventure with robots and beautiful drawings! The story is set in future Japan that has been taken over by England. Lelouch, otherwise known as LuLu, is a British highschool student who one day gets caught up in a fight between the Japanese resistence movement and the British army over a weapon. After meeting a mysterious girl, LuLu gains a unique and powerful ability which will help him achieve his goal.
Sorry if it isn't the best summary but if any one wants to know more than I'll get the real description.
Twelve Kingdoms 8
Action, Adventure, Coming of Age, Fantasy
This is another pretty cool anime that many haven't heard of. The protagonist Yuko, is a japanese girl who does whatever anyone asks her to in order to fit in. One day, a mysterious man appears and calls her his queen and then brings her and two of her friends into a different world. In this different dimension Yuko must grow, not only to battle with those who oppose her becoming queen, but also to learn to love herself.
It's a pretty good series, kind of like Howl's Moving Castle and other Miyazaki works.
