It all began when the darklings had invaded Aether. Troop 977 had been exploring the vast area for quite some time, conducting experiments using the jelly from the healing properties and parasitic properties of a metroid. It had been an easy day full of wonder until they came. They surrounded the troops manifesting their dark energy within their armor and possessing them to fight against the Luminoth.
The Luminoth were such docile creatures with extraordinary healing powers and great wisdom. They inhabit large sanctuaries within Aether, and distribute natural energy across the lands evenly. Many luminoth spend their days praying to their gods and meditating peacefully amongst a cliff of a hill. When threatened the luminoth will fight fearlessly and attempt to take down any enemy using their light abilities.
The Ing were aliens designed by the Emperor Ing to destroy Aether and build it into an empire of their own. The Emperor wishes to take control at a slow pace in order to use the luminoth powers to his own potential. The Ing could not survive in the light of Aether, however and were taken back to their own world by a dimensional split that created two worlds on the planet Aether; one dark one light.
Neither inhabitant of either world can exist on one world over the other. Therefore the luminoth had implemented a new technology using light crystals to create light barriers and help destroy the dark energy source of the Ing world.
The battle continues today, and it is up to you to help save your world or conquer it. These light crystals have allowed the inhabitants of light aether to travel back and forth between worlds easily and use the light to their advantage. However, when one is not inside the light of the crystals, their health slowly deteriorates until they are able to enter another barrier.
True Ing cannot travel into the light world without possessing a body first. The Ing use the host as a way to travel in an out of the world in their quest for dominance.

Planet Aether
Agon Wastes-
This land is a desert wasteland, in which the inhabitants have formed small villages on an oasis, and a small city full of common goods needed for travel. The winds all around blow dust and sandstorms are quite common. There is a place near the southern delta of Agon Wastes, that is completely destroyed; result of a major battle between the Luminoth and the Ing. Home of many space pirates who after many years of hardship and chaos have collaborated and learned to cooperate with the human inhabitants.
Torvus Bog-
This area is resembled by swampy conditions and humid weather. The temperature is mild, and the inhabitants are peaceful. In some areas of the bog caves hold huts for Luminoth and humans developing research on the minerals and underwater creatures. It is said that there is treasure at the bottom of the waters built by the Luminoth that acts as a gravity boost, and holds the power of levitation, found only by those with strong will, and great hearts.
Sanctuary Fortress-
The area full of a bustling futuristic city with hover crafts, and the newest space alien technologies. It is the very heart of civilization, and is full of artificial intellegence created by the Luminoth to make work easier and efficient. Sanctuary Fortress carries most of the world's energy supply underground. Races of all kinds interact and collaborate with one another. In the center of the Fortress lies a giant shopping center for tourist and inhabitants. Artificial life will guide you along the way, however as more Ing infiltrate Aether, they begin to possess these lifeforms and some may even turn against you. Beware and be aware of these machines.
Temple Grounds-
Where there was once another great village and city, is now ruins. The old temple remains however on the very north side of the continent where very few Sentinel Luminoth live. The weather and climate are moderate and there is much precipitation, but low amounts of vegetation. A large ship where the space troopers fell to the Ing lies dead and out of use.

He became an orphan when his mom died, shortly after, and the Galactic Federation adopted him because of his extraordinary powers and used him to create Luminoth technology where he was sent to Aether to perform as an artificial life engineer, designing mental capabilities for machines. Lives in Sanctuary, in a large mansion, with other Luminoth in peaceful harmony.

PART I
The Ing have slowly entered light aether and have possessed some of it's inhabitants and artificial life forms in Sanctuary Fortress and the Temple Grounds. Not much has happened since the Ing have arrived and not many of the lands' inhabitants are aware of them. Most of the Luminoth sense their presence but don't take action quite yet. They stand back and watch closely, looking for battle strategies and patterns of the Ing. They look for differences in contour and weakness. It won't be long before the world covets mass hysteria but for now it knows about an evil force but is ignorant. The Luminoth guess it's better this way. Much of Temple Grounds is destroyed and all that lies is the rubble, but the main sanctuary stands tall and gives hope.

"Morning Mom, morning Dad." Teki said to his parents as he woke up and quickly ate breakfast. His Mother said kindly "Would you mind cutting the tall grass in the backyard? I don't want people thinking we are anti-social!" She said, laughing a bit. Teki smiled and kissed his Mother on the cheek. "You got it!" He said and got the clippers. "Well guys i'll see you tonight, I have to train some cadets today." Teki's Father annocunced. He kissed his wife and went out the door. "See ya Teki!" Teki ran out the door and waved "Bye Dad!" and went to chop the grass.

Kira slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She had fallen asleep near some of the old ruins the night before. She yawned and slowly got up. The suns light was too bright and made her eyes hurt. She slowly floated to the top of one of the old buildings and looked at the world around her. "Everythings exactly as I left it..." She told herself and sighed.

At the Fortress, Kevin was busy repairing machines being used to cleanse the streets of waste. Alright...almost done and there! He looked at his work in such dignity and patted himself on the shoulder. A few clicks later the machine turned on, began to float around, and cleaned the air around it. Nice! I did a great Job. Kevin knew it was clean due to the fresh smell of the air which left no odor. He looked down at his clipboard and marked off that all systems were clear and that the machine was affirmative for action. Thus, he released it outside the Fortress into the city grounds and kept a close eye as it wandered cleaning everything in sight, but taking heed of the passersby.
I guess that's it for today. The bar's just up this way. He, himself left the fortress deciding he needed a break after a days hard work. He headed to the bar down the alley, and a life-form zoomed pass him. Entering the bar the bartender declared, "The usual?" Kevin replied with a yes and sat down before the counter awaiting his soda with lime.

'Wow, there are more shrubs than I thought.' He said to himself, but began to work anyway. He then spotted the girl from across their backyard in her own, taking a nap on a hammock. 'God she's so pretty....' He thought and sighed aloud. After his daydreaming, he realized the trace made him do his work faster, and was done in no time. He then ran back into the house. "Mother? I'm going to go sign up for the troops now! Maybe Dad will be my troop leader!"
His Mother laughed lightly "I hope you realize even if he is your troop leader, he isn't going to be easy on you."
Teki smiled back "Yeah I know, but it would truly be a great experience!" And ran out the door, passsing people in the village, giving them hellos and apprcoced the sign-up office. 'Well, here I go!' He thought with exticement.

Kira watched the surrounding area for a while until she finally got bored and decided to take a walk. She only liked to be in the ruins where there were no people so there was no one to bother her. She found her small storage of food and started a fire so she could make herself something to eat.

Kevin's lime and coke was drank fast as if he were in a hurry and his work may go unnoticed. Kevin passed by some Luminoth, but a wise one by the name of Rhe spotted him and needed urgent business. Apparently, not many people were around as both Rhe and Kevin walked along the straight path farther from the fortress. As both beings walked some strange smell of burning had hit Kevin's nose, and up ahead the bridge from Agon into the Fortress had been destroyed. Kevin thought nothing of it at first, but as he stood there in mid-thought it occurred to Kevin that this wasn't an accident. If it were an accident, wind abrasion would have sparked the fire, or lightning may have flashed, crashing down upon the bridge. However, since many of the ropes and pikes that held the bridge securely looked torn by physical force, this wasn't an accident. Rhe had a theory as to how the bridge was demolished.
"It is said that one of the machines went haywire and shot up the bridge, mistaking it for a salvaged product, but in the process it may have had an interference in its intelligence system. I'd like you to take a look at it's main circuits later." Rhe announced.
"Aye. I will Rhe, but how could the whole bridge have been destroyed in the process?" Asked Kevin curious as to the mechanical and chemical damages done to the structure.
"I don't think we can answer that just now. However, when we need to, we must evacuate to Agon Wastes through the Temple Grounds. There are land elevator systems online which will help make the travel less tedious." Rhe explained. "Most of our region's inhabitants hardly leave the area anyway."

Kira finished her meal slowly and watched the flames dance in the fire. She wondered what was going on in the outside world. As her mind drifted she didn't even notice that the fire was going out. "That war is still going on isn't it?" She asked herself. She was used to talking to herself out loud because she never liked being around others. The thought that one of them could have killed her parents angered her. Once in a while she would go into town to stock up on food and stuff and maybe stop to talk to some one but only for a moment. She snapped back to reality and noticed that the fire was compleatly out. She sighed as she felt the coldness around her.

"So how many of them have left the area?" Kevin asked solemnly. A sudden dread curdled inside of him, a bad premonition was occurring within his cortex and he couldn't drive himself away from it.
"Only about four. Some say they're possessed. We need you to fix the one we captured, you'll find it back at the front desk of the fortress." Explained Rhe. "Hurry."
Kevin took heed and raced out into Sanctuary Fortress' inner building again. He panicked on the way there, and thoughts of omens passed through his head as if taunting him and telling him he just couldn't do it, but as determined as he was he needed to fix that machine. After all, it was his very own creation; created with his own hands. In fact, most of the machines were like children as if he had them himself.
He entered the main fortress, and inside stood the machine at the front desk. It stood there shooting lasers at the invisible barrier caging it, and Kevin noted its movements then took the object into his lab. The machine this time was blackened and abnormally dark. In this land there were no machines that looked anything like it. Kevin was startled to see it and it illuminated fear within his eyes, but Kevin hadn't shown it. Alright this shouldn't be too hard. He prodded at the barrier and it opened, but chaos ensued right after. The machine itself turned on HIM. He attempted to grab at it and became successful after his third try. There was a key in his pocket that would eventually help shut it off, and he managed to grab it and shut down the machine.
It made a screaming noise, and suddenly billions of tiny back particles spurted from the wrought metal and screamed toward the exit. They broke through the glass of the doors, and hurried towards Temple Grounds.
