Time to rant about something seemingly insignificant, because it will make me feel better. Yay. :3
So, after nineteen years of keeping my hair no shorter than shoulder-length, I finally cut it SHORT this past June, like in my sig and profile. I'm extremely happy with it. It's so much fun to play with, and way easier to take care of, and I can go out on a windy day without worrying about it, and run my hands through it, and and and--!
Yeah, I love it. ^^ And nobody had ever tipped me off that I looked icky with it long. Thanks, assholes. mad (Not you guys. Luff.) On top of that, at my school, 99% of the girls look like dead-on clones. Shoulder-length brown hair (or blonde with two-inch brown roots), Hollister hoodie, black leggings, Uggs. I feel like I've wandered onto some secret government cloning facility. So, my hair is kind of like my dumb little bit of rebellion. Combined with my clothes, no one would ever mistake me for one of the clones. So I love it.
Except!
Apparently, now everyone and their mother, literally, thinks I'm gay. D: Now, that's not offensive to me; I have no problem with gay people. Still, it's a little unsettling to realize you're coming off as someone you aren't, you know? That, and I had a hard enough time getting guys when they thought I was straight... now it's nigh well impossible! gonk
SO, now I'm stuck. I love my short short spikey awesome fun hair... but I wish people would realize I'm straight, too. crying Damn you people out there and your stereotypes! *fistshake*
Like I said, not exactly life and death, but annoying nonetheless. Grr. Endrant.

Thanks :3 I've heard the same from other people online... I guess I just go to a really closed-minded university.
Haha, my poor mom has gone from thinking I'm into girls, to only liking black guys (long story...), to now telling me "You know, some people just don't like anyone at all, it's called being asexual..." :XP:
The worst part is, when everyone thinks you're something you're not, you start to second-guess yourself constantly. Even though I KNOW I only like guys, it still noids me out. As if everyone else knows something I don't. Which is dumb. >.<
