The Mahora Amphitheater lies under the shadow of the great World Tree. Built almost practically on top of it's roots, the amphitheater is a simple affair consisting of a covered stage with some changing rooms at the back, faced by three semi-circles of ascending benches. The amphitheater is usually empty these days, although in the mornings some people use it for exercise and martial arts practice. It's very removed from rest of Mahora, and an ideal place if you're looking for privacy. It's so far from anywhere, people say you could practically have a war here and no one would notice...
Edit for benefit of the Festival - Pink petals now sit all round the amphitheater. The stage is covered with a pink curtain. Looks like the student council has planned something..but, just as with the Lake, it hasnt been properly established.

Ren entered, more upset then angry, "Stupid... stupid medication making me emotional..." she wiped her eyes, "I'm sick of all of them and their stupid secrets and stupid 'Oh don't worry about it Ren-chan' stuff!" she sat on the far end of one of the benches, "and to think that I had finally made friends..."

"The heck is going on here?" Boyd muttered, taking in the area.
"Pretty kick a** " he whistled, still speaking in English.
He noticed the sad girl.
"Um..." he said, switching over to Japanese thank god I took those lessions "You okay there?"

Boyd moved a hand up to stratch his weird blue, blinking down at the girl...Ren.
"I'm Boyd, though call me Falconer. Tonks all over again."
Boyd rolled his eyes, before continuing.
"I'm the new guy, though technically I'm not suppose to be here yet. Though I'd pop up early and check the place out before officially starting"
He tilted his head in confusion at Ren
"Ren right? What's up, you look kinda sad."

Boyd twitched, feeling something...off
"I sense a disturbance in the Force," he muttered. "Its coming from that...big arse tower over there!"
"Damn it, looks like I'll have to make a gamble here..." Boyd muttered in English before switching over to Japanese
"Say Ren, how much you know about magic..."

He pointed at the tower.
'Yeah that thing. Somethings off, and I don't like that"

"I was just there! Nothing was wrong..." she exclaimed nervously, "other then a "Let's plot to get rid of Ren-chan" party" she mumbled.

Boyd blinked, having caught the last part of that
"You sure you just didn't get the wrong message? I should know, there's this one time when we were having this self-defense instruction and I was late- but that's a story for a different time"
He turned, a look of utmost seriousness on his face.
"There is something there right now, and by the looks of things its pretty powerful. If you have friends there, we should get to there now."
He tugged off his dogtags, before muttering something under his breath that sounded like "Set up..."
A flash later the dogtags turned into an old battered staff.
"Come on, maybe we can help out or something...though I'd feel a lot better if I had one pistol on me..."

Boyd frowned slightly, considering something quickly.
"Know any spells?" he asked. "Or better, know anyone who might have some weaponry on them? I doubt this."
He gestured to the defeated looking staff.
"Is enough to beat that"
He gestured to the tower.
(I know I disappear for a few hours. Be back at like 10pm Gaia time)

Mahora Academy Announcement:
Dear people of Mahora,
By order of headmaster Konoe, all students and school personnel, except the 'special teachers' (mages) and 'teacher's aids' (ministra magi, mercenaries, etc.), please proceed back to your dorm rooms immediately. There will be an emergency academy-wide practice session for the musical rendition of "Kingdom Hearts" by the Mahora Theatre Club in cooperation with the academy's faculty for the New Year's Eve Celebration. If you encounter any actors that are wearing 'heartless' costumes (shadow forms), please steer clear of them for persons who aren't part of the play are forbidden to interact with them. For those students who are already at their respective dorm rooms before six o' clock tonight (which is like 30 minutes from now; Mahora time), will get an additional 200 meal tickets by December 25.
