Setting:
Earth, in the distant future.
Technology's fast-paced race to dominate the world was halted abruptly when portals began appearing, suddenly, all over the planets surface.
The world they connect to is unnamed, but is usually referred to as" The Demon World"...you can guess what comes out of the portals.
Semi-intelligent, fast, and deadly, the demon decimated the population, and greatly changed the world as a whole.
Time:
That was almost fifty years before the story starts. By now, things have started leveling out. People are smarter, and most have learned to run at the first sign of the demons, as well, people now know what weapons are effective against them. While traditional bullets are no good, blades of all styles are efficient, and weapons like lasers, when available, work very well, too. Even better, newly designed explosives have been shown to close the portals!
Characters:
The RP be loosely started at a headquarters of humans who have been working on demon elimination, and recently, the closing of portals. Not everyone would have to be a fighter, but it would be the main conceit of the RP. Civilians, HQ administration, and almost any sort of bad guy could be worked into the plot, which is very lose. Generally, survive, and get the job done. Characters would be allowed to have one ability not normally associated with humans. Not only is this more interesting, but this is the far future, here, smile .
