Cherry Blossom Lane is renown across campus for being adorned with cherry trees on both sides, which seem to be in perpetual bloom. It is a picturesque little street, located next to the dorms, with benches and lamp posts at regular intervals along it's length, as well as a few raised bridge overpasses when it intersects with other, less pretty streets. It curves a few times, so that there are tracts of it that cannot be seen from either end. It makes for convenient private spots, and looks very romantic.

Despite this, however, few people frequent it during the day, and it is extremely rare for people to go there at night. This is because of the Legend of the Cherry Lane Vampire. It is whispered in the dorms that on the nights of the full moon, a figure in pitch-black, worn-out rags covered in blood haunts Cherry Blossom Lane, preying on the blood of young (probably) virgins. Although people claim not to believe this, those who know the story seldom enter the lane at night and NEVER during the time of the full moon...

Edit for benifit of the Festival - Cherry Blossom Lane looks abit different. It's now littered, more than normal, with pink blossoms. Various signs are now up though on lampost and trees large wooden, decorated signs stare down at lane-goers. 'Welcome to the Lane' 'CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!' and other phrases are posted. Pink lights go from lampost to lampost, that spark up at night.

And at night...it is truly a magnificent and beautiful sight.

That is...if you're brave enough to check it out...

"Hn....." Stephen mumbled as he slowly walked along the lane, thinking. He soon took a seat underneath a beautiful pink tree. It was rather relaxing, so it looked like this would be another one of his spots until his other one was fixed.

"Maybe, I can say...a bird ran into it...nah, meteor, no...this is a hard one."

He yawned as he tilted his head back to relax his eyes, when they opened the sun was beginning to set. Simply by being a mage, Stephen wasnt declining any supernatural things happening among the school...and he knew for a fact vampires were real. He had no idea if it was a full moon or not tonight, he had heard a few rumors, he was a mage...some vampires tended to like mageblood, and he was a virgin...in his head that simply added up to 'not taking any chances' so as the sunset he made his way from the 'beautiful lane.

[once more people get through with the Budokai, i think it'll be a good idea to start a vampire arc...plus we still have to take out your assasin]

Tarja had her hands within the pocket’s of her school blazer as she made her way back to the dorms; she had heard the legends of the infamous ‘Vampire of Cherry Blossom Lane’ and from what was told to her she automatically believed it. Tarja believed in all those magical creatures and races, from nekos to elves, if magic existed in the world then so did these creatures.

Within the right pocket of the pink blazer she wore, Tarja was holding her MP3 while skipping through all the songs in order to find something that tickled her fancy, it was mainly goth and thrash metal, along with some Finnish and German bands that hadn’t even gotten major record labels yet. But in her other pocket she was holding the dagger Arbane very tightly and unsheathed from its small scaffold. Now Tarja came from a very famous and long line of magi and off coarse she was still a virgin which made her an ideal vampire target.

Now if this vampire just so happened to come by and see her as a snack, Tarja would introduce the undead abomination’s heart to lady Arbane, it didn’t seem to be dark at the moment so she took her time, putting a song that she enjoyed on.

"You know, you don't really have to worry about vampires right now," a voice suddenly said behind Tarja, who spun around quickly, her dagger coming out of her pocket and in a threatening position almost instantly.

The woman behind her was.. highly unusual by normal standards. For one thing, though she looked young-- practically younger that Tarja-- her hair was pale-white. It looked natural, not dyed, yet she didn't look like an albino. It hung down to her waist, framing her pale, smiling face perfectly. She was dressed in a pale-white skirt and top.

"It's not yet full moon, and it's broad daylight out," she said, the petals from the ever-blooming Cherry tress swirling around her in the wind and causing the sleeve on her left arm to ripple. Just her left arm. The sleeve kind looked like Cloud Strife's from that CG movie, except in white and more feminine...

It was only a fluke that she had heard the voice, because the song hadn’t even started yet. “Paska pyhä!!!" Tarja yelled as she spun right around while pulling her dagger out and holding it in a threatening position. “Mikä sitä...?” Tarja just held her dagger up while slowly taking a few steps back; instead of a vampire she had another form of undead creature, just great.

Fear started to build up in the young teenage Finnish girl, she had seen some scary stuff back home and read about undead specters but never had she met one. “Ok vhät are you?” She asked in a deep Finnish accent while slowly bringing the dagger down, but under hear own breath she incarnated. “Kuolemä Tekke Täiteilijan...”

To those who could sense magic, a mid level amount of magic started to radiate around Tarja, especially the ring around her finger and the dagger she held. Tarja now glaring at this 'thing' demanded in a rude and arrogant tone. “And vhät the hell do you vänt with me?” What ran through Tarja's mind at the moment were the incarnations for her spells, especially the protective magic’s she knew, she was more a defensive mage then offensive.

An eyebrow rose, perhaps in annoyance, perhaps in amusement. The smile never wavered. "Vhät? I mean, what? Oh, sorry for startling you. It's the hair, isn't it? It always catches people like that. I assure you, I'm completely human... well, not completely--" for a moment, the smile became bitter "-- but unfortunate accidents do happen."

"As for what I want..." she shrugged. "Well, new people are rare around here. I merely wanted to meet you. My name is Cera." She pronounced it 'Seh-Rah'.

[noted. sorry]

Tarja arched an eyebrow for the moment, not completely human? That didn’t sound to right in her books, the pale skin was an important factor, and the girl who stood before her looked like she had seen a ghost, not in facial expression. Tarja shook her head for the moment while sighing, she was apparently younger and well Tarja not matter how rude or bitchy she was, wasn’t the type who would pick on little kids...much. Tarja pulled the small scaffold for her dagger out, sheathed the small blade and then put it back in her blazer’s inner pocket.

“Vell...alright but don’t do that again, I almost planted this into your kidneys.” Tarja said sarcasticly while deactivating her magic, slowly the magic that radiated of her faded to almost nothing and her dagger stopped humming the small amount it was before. “My name is Tarja Alysia De’Tilmarade, I am an exchange student from Finland.” Tarja’s Finnish accent was extremely strong to a point where almost all of the words that came from her mouth sounded like it started with ‘V’, especially want.

"So noted," Cera said. "De’Tilmarade? The line of famous mages? An honor to meet you then. My mother told me stories about the time she worked with a De’Tilmarade. She was very impressed, and it takes a lot to impress my mother."

She looked in the general direction of the dorms. "Have they given you a room yet? The dorms around here are always pretty behind on the room assignments."

Tarja arched her eyebrow once again, this girl knew about her family line? Well her family were known for not only their deeds in the past, but also their power in the dark arts of magic, necromancy, chaos and abyssal magic were her family’s specialties, Tarja herself was aiming to become a Shadow Weaver like her mother, a mistress of darkness. “You must mean my mother; she is the only member off our family to ever travel outside out homeland.”

Tarja then thought about her second question, she had only been here for about a week and well she hadn’t been assigned a dorm yet, Tarja was in fact forced to take up residence with a classmate of hers. “Vell...unfortunately no they haven’t, even though my parents applied one for me over two months ago...” Tarja then glared down at the ground, she was an only child and like all only child’s born into rich family’s, she was a spoilt brat who always got what she wanted, nearly.

Cera nodded in commiseration. "Yes, it can be frustrating, can't it? If you're not in a hurry or anything, why don't we go visit the bowling alley? It's not far, the food's pretty good, and they've got video games if bowling's not really your thing. My treat."

Tarja thought about her offer for the moment while she took her MP3 player out from her blazer pocket and started wrapping the headphones around the small music player before putting it back in her pocket. Tarja virtually had no friends because of her attitude towards others and also because she was a goth. “Very vell, but I do not know vhere it is, you lead the vay ok?”

Cera smiled. "Follow me, then," she said.

Daisuke stood in the gathering dusk, waiting for Kanna to show up for their second training session. He admired the cherry blossoms- they were out this time of year.

Kanna was holding up a map, as she pulled the map away she gasped
"oh wow, its beautiful" She said with rather enjoyment

Daisuke nodded. "Did you bring the spellbook? Get to look it over at all?"

[this would be happening after the incident right now at the lake- she's already gotten the spellbook]
