I wouldn't know, but my parents say that after seeing him so many times, he's one step down from a friend. His death was a major shock in my house for all but my little brother, chav as he is. My dad dropped his work bag full of important.... things. The things he goes mad beyond mad at when people touch them. The only purple-bearded hero I have left is Billy Connely, and he's a ripoff...

I went to the clubhouse tonight and gave the truck that is going to Rita some roses and a shirt I had made today with Dimebag's picture pressed onto it saying.. "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott 8/20/66 - 12/08/04
I hope it reaches her. Dimebag's mad gutiar skills is what encouraged me to learn to play and make my own metal band. Though course I ended up wanting to do drums so i droped guitar and went to drums but still. He inspired me to do something with my life. I met him a few times when they played with DamagePlan here in Fort Worth, Tx. Guy smelt of cigs, beer and weed, sweetest smell ever. Lol. Anyways Im just ranting.

I heard someone in the band was hurt, then heard killed. And Dime was the last guy I wanted it to be. I know it sounds real bad, but I expected it to be Lachman, 'cos i thought it was some nut trying to force a Pantera reunion. I mean, it was Phil who left anyway, so I have no idea what this a*****e's motive was. And the saddest part is that we may NEVER know what it was.
He wouldn't have known what hit him. He'd be used to having people jumping on stage, stagediving and stuff. He could have had his goddamn head down, playing like the king he is... The only guy that can play his parts now is Zakk, and I bet he's as pissed as hell.

Dimebag's thrashing in heaven now...
My heart and prayers go out to Vinnie Paul, who witnessed his own brother's murder at the hands of madman.
I'm glad the cops killed that ********. The pigs did something right for once.

did anyone see the video tht phil put out in responce to the shooting, it gives a good insight to what he beleives is the real reason for the pantera breakup. drunk as hell on it but i think he's genuinely upset.
