Biography:
this free-spirited island native was born and raised on the tropical, pacific-paradise that is Maui, Hawaii.
She recently found the need to get away from the enclosures of a land mass completely boxed in by water, and thus went and enrolled herself in her high school's foreign exchange program as soon as her senior year was ending. Within a few weeks, the travel-hungry, sand dwelling surfer girl found herself in a bustling world of high fashion, technology savvy teens, and anime culture: Tokyo, Japan.
Though she had intended to keep up her studies independently through the city's Foreign Exchange Travel School program, she was spotted by a Japanese Yakuza gang, and was asked to join because she possessed the "appropriate physical build and strength" for the position. Not being a fluent Japanese-speaker resulted in her accidentally accepting the offer and training harshly in the teachings of ninja-like fighting.
Eventually breaking away from the gang, the unchanged Hawaiian girl went on with her travels to different cities in Japan.
But as most students have experienced on a learn-away trip, money does run thin eventually, and the only options available for earning more: odd jobs. Or in Noa’s case, putting her martial arts skills to use, and competing in Dead or Alive fighting competitions for the cash prizes; they are the equivalent to American cage fights, but with more than just the customary wrestling moves! --_^ *wink
