I LOVE the holidays!!!!! I love how pretty it is, and how friendly everyone is, and how good is smells!
We've moved into a smaller place than I've lived since I was 3, so we can't have a big tree come christmas (We always had a fake one, but I didn't mind so long as I got to decorated it the day after thanksgiving ^.^) we've always have a 7-foot tree before, but now the apartment is hardly even seven feet. ^.^' So we got a 4-foot three instead, and we're gonna put it on the table, to one side, and then I'll get a pretty holiday table cloth, and move some of the chairs out of the way, and then we can pile the presents under the table as well as right under the tree. ^.^ So it's almost as good. I still feel a little sad about it though.
But I'm a total freak for Christmas, and I'm getting better about Thanksgiving too. It used to be just this annoying holiday that got in the way of Christmas (I have a funny feeling I'm not the only one who thinks that...*looks at neighbors, who've already decorated for Christmas*) where you have to cook too much food, eat too much food, and clean up to many dirty dishes, all so you can have family you hardly know pop out of nowhere, bring weird looking cassaroles and eat all your yummy food and pinch your cheeks. But, since the last few years I've been a couple of states away from family, and last year the food was really good, and my best friend came to visit me, I'm feeling happier about Thanksgiving. ^.^
But of coruse, Christmas is still my favorite holiday. I'm a complete freak for Christmas. I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving (becasue it's tacky if you do that before)and I start listening to Christmas music before Halloween (because earphones keep people from getting annoyed with you ^.^) and since I'm making money now, I've been getting christmas presents for people since about August ^.^ Slowly but surely, of course. Keep in mind, I don't make that much. And I'm buying pretty expensive stuff Oo. (I got my brother a Nintendo DS, since his SP is crapping out from over-use ^.^ Took half my fricken paycheck, though...)
My dad, on the other hand, is like the flipping Grinch when it comes to the holidays. Or actually, closer to Ebeneezer Scrooge. He loves money, and he loves gettign the things that he wants, so he GETS the things that he wants for himself all year round. And every single year he always says 'Christmas is gonna suck' because apparently we have no money (we had plenty to enter him into that stupid poker tournament, but nooooo, can't get mom a new vacuum.) Because of COURSE, the only that that matters during the holidays is GETTING STUFF....
*grumble*
It's so annoying, and I try so hard to ignore it. I just think it's stupid that the only reason I'm having a lousy time is because he keeping moaning about how crappy a time we're gonna have.
WOW this is a long post ^.^ Anyways, this is for talking about the holidays! Cuz I lurve the holidays! ^.^

that really was a long post smile i am not going to reply to all of it.
i love christmas too. but in germany they look strangly at you when you put up your tree before the 23th. maybe it is ok, if it is a weekend before that. most people do it only in the morning of the 24th (in the afternoon is when we get all our presents). i love how family can get together and you can make people so happy by finding the perfect gift for them.

Hahah yes it IS long I'll attempt to reply to each PARAGRAPH though hahah
P1. I think I have always had a fake tree... cept for when I was like 8? Can't remember that far back. But seven feet? Im 6, but I wonder how tall ours is..? hmm
P2. Don't worry my family is christmas fazed to haha, (i think we're like your neighbors *guilty for having our tree up and decorated already*) it's not bad, only if you have them come to your house.. then you get all the leftover food (like cheesecake!! yippe hahah i love cheesecake) oh my... they pinch your cheeks?! im so sorry!
P3. Oh my hahah don't decorate THAT early.. haha we do buy dorky ornaments that early. Ooh Nintendo DS are the old ones? My most recent is the SP I think (own all gameboys that have come out haha) but they both are good, and worth the money wink good for long car trips, if you charged it the night before
I love the holidays because i can spend time with family but i get lonesome because i cant see my friends for a long time ;-;

And don't feel guilty for having your tree up! We have our's up, it's just not decorated. But it's fiberoptic, so my mom still turns it on at night, since it's so pretty. We're still havign a tanksgiving dinner, though. And then Ill probably get to decorating right after eating ^.^ Gosh, I lurve Christmas!!!

maybe our trees get up so late, because most people ...all people i know have a real one. so having that sit in your living room for over a month might make it look kind of sad on christmas?

We have thankgiving on thankgiving ^.^ The 22nd, this year, we have to go shopping for the food for it pretty soon though Oo
Oh, my goodness, if they're all getting real trees than I would hope they'd wait! ^.^ If they put their's up as early as me, it would be dry and unhappy by the time christmas rolled around...

Yup! ^.^ Thiiiis thursday. I gotsa work today, bleh. But we got all the stuff for thanksgiving dinner last night. We're gonna have ham, and freshed mashed potatoes (I make them, and they's good ^.^) and green beans (also fresh, with tiny potatoes and bacon and onions, so very delicious ^.^) and gravy and biscuts. ^.^ It's just us, so a turkey would be going overboard, but I got a little game hen and I'm gonan dress it like a turkey cuz' I weird. *giggle*

clap!* I'm gonna be doing the same thing! About a month ago these really nice, hard plastic plates came in at work (they're gold and silver, really pretty) and I bought enough of them to make a little christmas-cookie plate for everyone at work ^.^ I'm gonna make peanut butter, chocolate chip, sugar cookie, some banana nut muffins, and pumpkin and cinnamon bread for every plate ^.^
