Jahazi Park Ranger Captain

The shoreline of the southern end of the island is gentle, decorated with sand that is soft (although warm) to the touch. Aside from the odd exception, there are no trees along most of Jahazi's southern edge, making it easy to see anything approaching. The tide is usually slow and intimidating, but those that swim too far out could be dragged away into the ocean by the current. Here and there are hermit crabs and seaweed, but the water is far from palatable and the scraggly patches of grass not worth grazing, so it's not in the search of nutrition that any creature would find his or herself in this spot. The ranger tower on the far west end of the island is just barely visible from here, but the eastern edge is swallowed up by the distant forest that dominates the far horizon.
