I thought that it was pretty good, though it didn't end like I thought it would. I liked it^^

1: Ok, I know where Cormyr is so I have an idea of where it is. 2: I finished it... crying He always kills my favorites! Goodbye Innovindil and Sunset/Sunrise (I don't remember which).

awww They wouldn't be good books if many characters didn't pass on
Salvatore isn't the only mastermind of killing decent storylined characters :3
but i wish they didn't have to kill off e v e r y o n e save some for later burning_eyes

Actually, IMHO, it's a sign of weak writing if Salvatore feels the need to kill off a character every single book he writes. First of all, it weakens the effect it has (oh, ho-hum, Salvatore just killed off another one...). And second of all, it turns the books into formulaic garbage.

Personaly I liked the book. I was sad when he killed of Indovennel but I definatley was not expecting it... The whole intro was kinda confusing though until you read the whole book.

Oh, the whole hundred-years-ahead thing? Yeah...
The way I understand it, WoTC more or less asked Salvatore to put that in. They're advancing the whole Forgotten Realms setting by 100 years for 4th edition and they wanted a bit of a tease for the readers.

Yeah, that's exactly what annoys me the most. And with the Spellplague, those seven might have a rough time of it.
It's pretty much a forgone conclusion that there is no way my favorite characters are going to survive, which annoys the ever-loving crap outta me. But at least we're getting one more book about them to wrap up their story before we have to say goodbye.
