Lilith walked lightly on the edge of the meadow, her ears pricked up to catch the slightest of sounds. It had been a long time since she had come out into the open, and anxiety gripped her spine. Every joint and muscle was tuned to the area around her, and every now and then she would straighten her long wolf legs to try to check distant places for signs of life. She smelled the air, a fresh scent of open air. She felt a sense of high overtake her after all those years hiding in the forest, with little sun and so much dirt. Later she would find a place to bathe her dirty, white fur and restore it to its original brilliance. When she was satisfied that there was no one about the meadow, she found a tree on the edge, and climbed up, so as to be closer to the sun and allow her photosensitive body to recuperate. From a small pouch she produced her bone flute and played a relaxing melody.

Closing her eyes Vicky began running to find the source of it. she found a girl, probally half wolf, playing the flute. Cocking her head Vicky waited behing a tree listening to the entrancing melodie

Lilith didn't see the woman listening to her song, and for awhile smelled nothing of another living creature. She was so absorbed in her music that it came as a surprise to her when she noticed Vicky standing below the tree. Not sure what to do, she conitnued to play the music, wondering with her heart beating quickly if she had been spotted. When the song ended, she spred herself along the branch looking down at the woman curiously, with her ears back and eyes as wide as they could go. Tenatively, with an unaccostumed voice, she pronounced, "Hallo." She remained in the tree, in case there should be in trickery or trouble.

Vicky gave a smile as she walked out from behind the tree. She still kept close to the tree though. She looked at the girl and snickered noticing her discomfort. "Hi" she answered. "That was a nice melody" she added finding nothing else to say. It was nice, mind you. It's just that Vicky never was that good with people when she first met them.

Lilith blinked her wide, red eyes. "Thank you," she said, a little slowly, remembering the words. What were the proper words to say now? She noticed that the woman stood close to the tree, and wondered if she were being wary as well. The thought comforted her slightly. "My name... is Lilith."

Vicky gave a small smile. "Names Vicky" she answered making sure not to move away from the tree.

Lilith swung herself around, clinging to the bottom of the branch like a sloth might. She couldn't think of anything much to say. Nothing at all, really. She sniffed the air, wondering if either of them was ever going to move. It was true, she could probably jump down from the tree and run away faster than this woman named Vicky might be able to catch her. She would just have to keep her distance. She would not get to close to a human. She let herself drop, twisting around so that she landed on her two hind legs. She stood with a couple of feet between her and Vicky, leg muscles tensed in case she should have to flee, but... she was a very curious person. "Many people are in the forest now. Why is this?"

Vicky sighted. Being immortal wasn't all fun and stuff. Her eyes gazed at Lilith as her hands made contact with the tree behind her. Nature alway's calmed her down. "Yes indeed. I believe that they would try and find soltidute" she asnwered. Her voice seemed to surround them as the wind carried it's sound with him

Lilith's curious eyes widened when she noticed the way Vicky calmed herself by touching the tree. Nature was something she could understand. "Solitude?...," she said, more as a question to herself. Her mind was caught up in many facets. If this woman took comfort from nature, could that meaen she was friendly? Safe? Lilith sensed a certain difference from humans in her presence, and wondered what it could be, but didn't know whether it was rude to ask. And why would so many humans seek solitude at once? Then it came to her. A flashback of carnage and decay. The smell of rotting flesh and instead of the quiet meadow, screams and shouts. Thick air, oppressive and angry and confused. Her fear, her deceit to the blacksmith who had captured her, and her escape to the woods, for so many, many years of solitude. "War? Is that why they come for solitude?" Lilith crouched wearily on the ground. "I was in that war. Have you seen it as well?"

Vicky looked at Lilith and sighted. The War.... she remembered it. Her eyes glazed over as she thought about it. She thought about seeing her mother for the last time. She remembered her yelling at Vicky to run away, that she would follow. That Vicky didn't have to worry about her. The last thing Vicky said to her was 'I hate you!'. A frown made it's way onto her face as she looked down. The War....It was something that she didn't want to remember. "Yes Lilith, I have seen it and I have survived" she answered a sad tone in her voice. Her hands still rested on the tree behind her.

Lilith hung her head, having a question to ask, and not quite sure if she wanted to ask it. She twisted her body lightly as she stood as though unable to stand still and quickly surveyed her situation. This woman had something in common with her. Nature. And the pain of the war was clear in her eyes. "You are not human, yes? Or, perhaps just somewhat different. Are they dangerous? All of them?" She asked out of concern of the past, and the blacksmith. She wasn't sure if she wanted to approach any of these new humans seeking solitude. Perhaps they too had their traps. Lilith looked up to the sky, at the clouds passing and the dancing leaves. What would happen now? What course should she take?

Vicky shaked her head. "I used to be mortal. Or human as you say." she answered the first question. Sighting she sunk down on the ground keeping her back against the tree and making sure that she stayed in the shadows. "I think not. But there are some between them that are better to be avoid. And than there's another part like me, ones that you should stay away from a certain time of the month" she answered. Vicky closed her eyes as she thought about the dreadest part about being a Vampire. The bloodlust. Immortality wasn't all that great, you'd live to see your friends die. It wasn't that long anymore and it was the time.....The Harvest. Grinning her fangs began to lengthen.

Lilith's warm curiosity turned to a cooler, stoic expression. In this oment, she looked more like the animal she was than the humanity she possessed. "Have you seen creatures like me before?" She wondered alloud. She was not being haughty, she was genuinely curious. Of her kind, she was... troublesome. But the truth of the matter was, what she wanted for others to understand was that she was not human, no matter how much her stance and face portrayed she had in common. She was a beast, and would act as such. She wondered what Vicky spoke of at the time of month Vicky mentioned. "Being immortal... you must have few friends. From what I've known, immortals tend to betray each other fairly often," she whispered, glancing up into the skies. "And then there's the part of the mortals dying. So it goes. Everything passes. But my life is this forest. As long as it lives, so do I. At least, naturally. I'm not immune to murder and accident." She noticed Vicky's fangs lengthening, and Lilith's own made a subtle appearance. They were long, opal canines that fit into a slots in her gums so as not to damage her mouth. She did not intend to harm Vicky, but a certain sense of beastiality took over her. Perhaps it was just the wind carrying along the hormones of a fight upwind.

Vicky shaked her head at the first question. She had not seen someone like Lilith. Seeing Lilith's fangs appear a smirk appeared onto her face. She would not hurt her. It was just thinking about the Harvest that made her bloodlust rise. "I'm sorry. That's one of those things why you have to stay away from me in the next week. The Harvest is coming up and I don't wanna hurt you" she explained. "Not the first friend I've made" she softly added as her eyes gazed at the ground.

Lilith relaxed, her fur still bristled slightly. "Honestly, I can't remember the last of my kind that I've seen. Not even my mother." Liltih understood that there were times when any creature would have it's harvest. She'd led some brutal hunts herself, and every now and then got a taste for violence, but all in all she was a calm and passive creature. "You don't suppose there are more like me among these human in thw forest? Maybe they were captured like I was. Do you know any of them?"
