It was dark and warm in Raptor's little ten by ten living space. One could not see it in the pitch balck, but the room was plain, cubic and white. There was a large queen sized bed tucked into the corner, on which Raptor rested, curled into a ball under a large, electricaly heated blanket, surrounded by a series of eclectic, colorful pillows. There wasn't much else to look at; a small closet set into the wall with a glass, automatic door, and a shelf filled with what looked like memerobelia. She groaned, wanting to sleep, but just too achey to pull through with it. The new addition to her small operation, Dr. Jukebox as he called himself, had been on her back about recovering from her previous situation. However, she had gone against his advice and eaten to her hearts content as a reflex to her previous exhaustion/starvation. Now she was paying for it, sick stomach and all. She groaned again, knowing that nobody could hear her, but wanting somewhere in her mind to dramatize her current state.

Dr. Jukebox was finding himself very busy with his job in the infirmary. It was not so much that there were a great severity of inuries so much as a long list of minor complaints. He focused on the most serious cases whcih at the moment came to cases of phenomia and two brocken limbs. He had taken to floating form place to place, the general residence seeing nothing all that strange about it considering who they lived with. His day was coming out to be mostly moving from bed to bed looking at charts and hading out medication. He did not argue however, it was satisfactory work for him. He atually derived some enjoyment from giving some of the less skill phisicians a verbal lashing when ever he viewed a mistake. He was very strict about his eefectiveness in his work.

Darcetti happened to be one of those patients. He was just lying there, a broken leg, nothing more. How it happened was pretty funny actually, but that story was for later. All that mattered now was one thing: HE WAS BORED OUT OF HIS ******** MIND!!!
Darcetti was all in all a serious person, due to his Hell and Back incident. He didn't socialize much, he didn't surf the web, he didn't play games, he didn't do anything with anyone. But he did do things with himself, fun things. And right now, laying here was NOT his idea of fun. Sometimes he wished he had healing powers instead of the ability to blow things up. But to him in the long run that would not have been as good. So he lay there, doing nothing, saying nothing, staring at the white cieling.
Then it hit him Why AM I staying here? They say that exercise is the greatest remedy... I think? Darcetti looked around, not many people were paying attention to him. It was a broken limb, they X-Rayed it and were done. So it was no surprise that this would be so easy. He reached over and grabbed one of his crutches, he wouldn't need both, and got up out of bed and made his way for the door...

As Darcetti was appraoching the door, it shut, seemingly on it's own. The floating form of Dr. Jukebox hovered ominously behind Darcetti. "Just were do you thing you are going. You are permitted to leave only when you are confirmed fit to do so. I will not have you aggrivating that wound without cause." As unassuming and warm as Jute had made his illision face to be, it looked rather stern at the moment. " What is so important that you would risk you health further."

Darcetti was taken aback, were the doors self opening and closing? Then he heard that damned voice of that damned doctor. Eh heh, well ya see, I was feeling better so I figured I would get some exercise or something... And what's important? Oh I dunno, maybe THE PRESERVATION OF MY SANITY?! Darcetti gave him a seriously funny look. One eye was normal size, while the other seemed to have gotten bigger and was staring at the wonderful doctor.
Just what I need, not only is it a doctor, but the HEAD DOCTOR... ungh, this is gonna be a long recovery...

Jute looked unphased by the Darcetti's outburst and simply sighed. " Well. In that case, I could easily perscribe an excersie regiment for you. However, It must exclude the use of you leg. Perhaps some weights" He turned away top look at the chart of another patient. "I can not restrain you, but you are not to leave thel general area of the infirmary. If you attempt to leave, then I will be forced to have you held here until you have recovered, your sanity not coming into question."

How ironic, held captive by a nerd... Oh cmon man, I need fresh air! I need to breathe!!! I'm so cramped in here, it smells like whining and bitching. I'm tired of it! Darcetti was telling the truth, he couldn't believe how many wusses were part of the resistance...

Jute nearly growled at the mans response. Instead he simply took a step back and let a illusionary image of Darcetti repeat him . "Oh Cmon man, I need fresh air! I need to breath!!! I'm so cramped in here, it smells like whining and Bitching. I'm tired of it!". Dr. Jukebox crossed his arms. " You can see that I am quite aware of the thick air of complaint. Your resistance is not helping matters. If you can not agree to my terms you can simply return to the ward accomidations." He pointed to the bed Darcetti had escaped from.

No, I mean the moaning and groaning of how it hurts and can I have a bandaid? I am whining about the fact that I feel like I'm in prison! Darcetti frowned, this would not work completely in his favor, and that was pretty obvious. So he decided to agree with the doctor But ONLY if I can leave this single room for about an hour a day. ONLY! And Darcetti crossed his arms waiting for a reply.

" As I said. you can leave, but you must remain in the general area of thee infirmary. I can make acceptions for any errend you feel you must attend to, but nothing that will force you to put pressure on your leg. That includes leaving for the surface were you could be exposed to anyhting from an Applewhite miltary patrol to a mutant attack. Your leg will be well soon enough. You should consider the idea that you may end up in worse shape that will force you to remain in this infirmary." He moved to another chart. " Now, if you please, I have another patient with the same problem you do, and he has the firmness of mind to allow himself to heal."

Nah, he's just sucking up to you so you'll let him out early. I KNOW HOW THOSE ONES WORK!!! And he walked to his bed, waiting for the time that he would be set aloft. If he was to be set free to walk around for a bit right now, he didn't catch it, that's for sure.

It took about an hour for Raptor's stomach to settle. Soon there after she was out of bed and dressed to meet with her collegues. It was strange to use that word to describe the small band of former heroes that now resided within the convenient complex; collegues. They were more like lost hopefuls. The only thing they had that really made them a group was Raptor and her orders. Most of them had never even been part of a hero organization before the wars; before the takeover. She emerged from her quarters, sporting a white, gentleman's shirt over her colorful costume. The facility was vast, clean and often too cold for some of the garments frequented by its current occupants. She needed to call a meeting immediately. The threat that had found her the day before was something they all needed to be aware of.
(not too creative today)

Jute sighed as the clck struck away another hour. " Well, I think htat is my shift. He looked to Darcetti. "I am leaving now. I would ask you heed my warnings about your leg and restrict your movments. Otherwise, you will likly learn what it is to have a less concerned doctor then myself. Good day" He gave a short bow and floated out the door, heading for whatever part of the compound caught his eye before his quarters.

Darcetti watched him leave. After about 5 minutes, he jumped outta bed and grabbed a crutch. He went for the door and opened, he was ready for his first official tour of the place...

Wrath walked down the halls of the complex, lowering his head in the necessary places to accomedate for height. His boots clanged and echoed with each heavy step as his large hands swung lazily at his side. Wrath scanned the area with a stone expression and saw he was alone but didnt care. He was used to it.
