Unknown to the human society, vampire live in the shadows. The few humans that do know about it are usually discreet about it. They are accepted, since they rarely intentionally kill, except for in self-defense. One night, however, a lifeless human appeared, the common end result after a human that has been killed by a vampire. It was taken care off, and no one seemed to care until it happened again within short time. Soon more and more of these lifless beeings started to appear, and a decision was taken. The one or ones behind this had to be stopped at all costs.

Here the character profiles will be placed. Instead of posting the characters in the thread, please pm me and I'll add it. That way the rp will flow better.

Character name: Georg von Ostwaldt
Age: Around 600 years, but has only experienced about a hundred of them (see bio)
Appearance: He appears around his thirties. He's a bit over six feets tall, with short blond hair and blue eyes. He usually wears dark clothing, but rarely black. His favourite colour is dark blue, so most of his clothes have that colour.
Personality: He's very honorable and loyal, and would never betray a friend. He's also a bit old-fashioned, even if he has adjusted to modern life.
Bio: Georg was a well-known knight when he was alive, which was the reason he became a vampire. The Queen is his sire, and this bond in addition to his life as knight made him loyal beyond words to her. In an accident that happened shortly after he had been sired, the large mansion where the King and Queen lived collapsed. As a result, Georg was buried in the rubble while sucsessfully holding up the house by himself until everyone else had gotten out. He had since spent his days in torpor until he around fifty years from today was found by the King and Queen and reawakened. Since he is so close to the source, his potential is great, but he lacks the experience needed to use most of what he can learn.
Abilities: He has great strenght and speed, and he heals much faster than normal. He can see pretty good in the dark, but not as good as many other vampires. His most recent project is trying to master how to "Shadow walk", or how to use shadows to "teleport".


Username: Rhina Gatewaye
Character name: Clifford Gelar
Age: Appers to be about 35 (actually about 5075)
Appearance: Sports long dark hair that is tied back and deep golden eyes. He often wears either elegant clothing or leather pants and a black shirt when he is out of his home or the court of the king and Queen. Most of the time he will be wearing white or black gloves on his hands and he always carries two items. A pendant given to him by the king of vampires and a ring given to hiim by the Queen
Personality: Very quiet around new people. Until he knows he can trust you he will watch your every move. However once you earn his trust he will be a friend most valuable. Also once he trusts you you can find him most friendly and almost polar opposite what he had been before.
Bio: He was one of the first children to be sired by the king and queen. He loves them like parents for they had taken him in when he was ophaned as a child. They didn't turn him until he was 16 and was aware of all the things that would happen to him as a result of the turning. He often stays close to the king and queen but at times can wander for a few decades just to see what else he can learn about the ever changing world.
Abilities: He is a weapons exspert from all his travels and can use just about anything to defend himself. He however doesn't enjoy doing so at all. He can heal himself as well as others to an extent but can not heal illnesses. Word has it that he can also change into a cat if the moon is right.

Character name: Ariai D'Aubigne
Age: 1050 yrs, but appears to be in her early 20's
Appearance:
She wears a form-fitting black gown with sleeves that cover her hands. The sleeves are cut at the shoulder, with black lace tipping the edges. There is a lacy black sash tied around her waist, and the sash goes all the way down to her feet. She wears her hair in the style in the picture, and has a black headband tucked in her hair. A black choker at the neck with a blood red jewel (see abilities), black gloves, and black dangling earrings complete her ensemble. She may be seen wearing a small black purse at her shoulder.
Personality: Ariai is quiet, and prefers to keep to herself. She is mysterious in some ways, although she is quite the romantic. Ariai is kind, caring, and loving, but she sometimes regrets that she doesn't have anyone to show that side of her to. She is easily decieved, being so naive, but can sense feelings and emotions very well, so it kind of balances out.
Bio: Ariai was a widowed nobleman's daughter, and was sired by the King when she was a young girl. She has since been loyal to him and the Queen (but more so him), because they accepted her when her father died and left his whole fortune to her. Ariai stays close to her "adopted parents", but occasionally goes out for a couple hundred years to find a mate, only to come back with empty hands. Ariai otherwise spends her time in the Havens, where she spends time writing romance novels or sipping tea. Other times she is learning how to become a lady at the King and Queen's new mansion.
Abilities: Ariai is an excellent healer/doctor, and can eradicate most illnesses and dieases, although cancer and AIDS has her stumped. She hopes to become a full-fledged healer in the future. She also has a number of magical capabilities, which she harnesses and magnifies with the jewel on her choker. These powers also enable her to transform into a black cat at will.

Character name: Calliope (Calli) Della Corte
Age: She was changed at the age 15 in the mid-1500s.
Appearance : Calli has reddish brown hair cut just below her ears, and dark brown eyes. Normally she wears tight jeans, dark tank tops, and a leather jacket. When in the court of the King and Queen, she wears a Renaissance-style white gown minus the numerous petticoats with a deep purple corset and bodice.
Personality : Calli is quiet and observing. She seeks the company of her kind because of an eternal lonliness she feels.
Bio: Calliope was an Italian maiden from a fairly well-to-do family until a man with a grudge against the Della Cortes attempted to murder her. He slit her throat in the woods and left her to die. Calli knows very little about how she changed, other than a few fleeting images. She woke up in the woods with the knowledge that she was changed but not of how. She has spent the centuries searching for the one who changed her and following various vampires and vampire communities around the world.
Abilities: Acceptional nightvision, speaks many languages, and has a talent for writing.


Rebels:

Character name: Deimos
Age: Human, 25; Vampire, 300
Appearance: Black hair reaches to Deimos' waist and always seems to be floating around his tall, muscular frame. He has ice blue eyes in his tanned, heart-shaped face that set many on edge. His canine teeth are long, visible between his lips.
Bio: Always wearing black, Demios stalks the night. Unlike the rest of the Vampire clan, this tanned creature has an unsatiable lust for bloodied death. He stalks the night, looking for young men and women to prey upon. He had been a law abiding citizen when he was alive, but when he was turned he changed drastically.
Abilities: The ability to sense those around him within a fifty foot radius.

Character name: Yuna Takimora
Age: 1800, although she looks like she's 17
Appearance:

Personality: Cold and sarcastic. Yuna loves blood and gore, and will do anything to please her own desires. Which happens to be seeing blood and gore. She has no emotional ties whatsoever to anyone or anything.
Bio: Yuna's adoptive parents didn't realize that she was a vampire, and showered her with all the love they could give her, and Yuna was unaccountably happy. One day when they were pampering her, she accidentally let loose her powers and killed them. Yuna has never allowed anyone to come close to her ever since to avoid this situation. The love of blood and gore just developed over the years.
Abilities: Yuna has the ability of desire. She can seduce anyone she wants to, and can keep them in that state for a long period of time. The longest she's timed is for five days.

Character Name: Desdemona LeMal
Age: 2,487, looks 25
Appearance: Long blonde hair (reaches her knees) and chocolate brown eyes. She is only about 5'3" when she isn't wearing high heels. Desdemona is a petite woman with fair skin and a smooth complexion. Being very vain, she usually only wears the latest fashions to make up for her lack of an outstanding/womanly figure.
Personality: Egotistical, Flirty, Intelligent, Vain
Bio: Desdemona was turned when she was twenty-five. Since that time she has drifted along, alone. Her original name has been forgotten along with her life as a mortal. It wasn't until around the early 1700s that she allowed herself another companion. She picked a man whose appearance pleased her greatly- Deimos. However, she eventually left her fledling Vampire to fend for himself. From that point on, Desdemona lived in France until quite recently.
Abilities: Slight pyrokenesis (Don't ask, Lunar gave me the idea ><), other typical abilities that Vampires may have.





Independent:

Username: Adri Neru
Character name: Adrien Norris
Age: 17 years
Appearance: 5'7", lean, with long legs. He has short, tousled tawny hair which he usually wears pulled back, harvest-gold eyes, and light skin. His attire consists of a baggy tie-up shirt, tan trousers, and leather knee-high boots. He is rather scrawny.
Personality: Adrien is a quite boy who has usually taken to staying up in his room. He isn't much known for talking, though he's always good at lending a listening ear. His hobbies include wood-sculpting, reading, and taking evening walks.
Bio: Adrien used to work with his father in his shop, making ornate wooden figurines for purchasing. Since a few nights ago, he has been left to wander the streets of the town, in a desperate search to find the sire who transformed him, and killed his beloved parents. He wishes to learn what he is, and to take revenge on the murderer of his family.
Abilities: He is extremely light on his feet and very fast.

Character name: Liek Cecilia Nalin Salazar (also known as "Madd Hatter" explaination under personality and bio)
Age: appears to be 14 or 15 in reality is around late 500's
Appearance: Liek was short for her age and the turning made her forever stay that way. She reaches only 5' 2" on a good day and is rather skinny. She is as deathly pale as fabled vampires are said to be and her eyes jade stones, of the lighter variety. Her hair is darker than the night sky and is usually held up in very crude and messy styles that are hidden under the top-hat that she became fond of in the Victorian ages, though bit is too short and comes out to hide her right eye. She has her own love and understanding of the goth-punk look of modern teens and is often found wearing black bell-bottom pants with a black and white striped sash belt which contains a variety of trinkets and black and white striped stockings covering her feet. Usually she does not bother with shoes if she can but when she has too she'll put on a pair of black flip-flops. Lastly her torso is covered by a black bodice with black lace on it, her arms covered from a little more than half way up her upper arm down to her knuckles in black and white striped gloves with holes for her thumbs. A similiar sash wraps around her neck and ties in the and goes down to her lower back.
Personality: Quite out there she has her own agenda. No one is considered her friend though she does latch to certain people and out right mocks others. She almost never loses her smile whether it be crazily insane, bloodthirsty, happy, or sad there's almost always one decorating her lips. Her overall personality is quite insane or rather... Madd.
Bio: She does not remember much of her past, her family and almost everything, except the most useless things, she can't remember. She doesn't even remember who sired her not that she cares much. She remembers how long she's been alive and things she has experience. She's never been in the presence of the Queen or King, even with an invite she blantantly ignores it and has always found ways to slither away. She is an information gatherer but no price can obtain the information she has. Usually only if she likes you and if you bring her something to add to her trinkets, whether it be as simple as a plastic shiny ring or an exotic artifact from far away, it all depends on how she feels at the moment. She uses the name that was nick named by someone because she reminded them of the Madd Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and she thought it'd be a great alias. Now she can often be seen holding a 'spiked' tea party.
Abilities: Has rather less than average strength for a vampire but her speed makes well up for it. Her night vision is so good that her eyes have taken a catish quality to them. She can heal fast and has a high resistance to pain plus is a good hand to hand fighter though is better with a staff... or a pool cue...

Username: Duncan_the_Soulknight
Character name: Anna "Anger" von Ostwaldt
Age: Around 600 years
Appearance: About 5 feet 4 inches tall. Half her face has been burned away, and she usually has an angry expression. The scarred part of her face is covered by a half mask, make of black obsidan and with a red ruby shaped like a tear on it. She likes wearing dresses, altough she wears combat clothing under. The combat clothing consists of a tight pair of black pants and a sleveless tight top. She never wears high heels either. Like Georg, her eyes are blue, but unlike him her hair is red and cut short. Her arms are usually covered by her dress, but when she's only wearing combat outfit, one can see tattoos of snakes, dragons and other creatures on them.
Personality: Summarized in one word, she's bitter. She has a short temper, something that has landed her in a lot of fights over the years. It's also the reason why she's wearing combat clothing under her dress at all times.
Bio: She grew up with Georg, and was very fond of him. She was dissapointed when he decided to follow in their fathers footsteps and become a knight. The first few years he came back to visit occasionally, but he eventually stopped, causing Anna to become resentful towards the royalty for keeping him from her and their family. She still clinged to a hope that he would return until she got news that he had been killed on the battlefield. At that time, she became a very sad person, until one night, away from the home where she grew up and lived, when she caught a glimpse of him. She eventually managed to find out what became of him, and the resent switched from royalty to him, for abandoning her. She caused the collaps of the mansion where Georg almost was destroyed. She recently found out he was back, and has decided to finish what she once started. She's not against the loyalists, she just basically hates her brother.
Abilities: She has a bloodlust that fires her on. The longer she fights the stronger she gets, and it's viritually impossible for her to grow tired. If she lands one punch or kick, she can follow up with another, faster, and repeat the process until she reaches almost unlimited temporary speed. When seriously enraged, she can make her arms transform into a spikey form for about 1/10 of a second before they transform back. Her mind is always circling around thoughts of hatred, revenge and general anger, which makes her immune to anyone trying to affect her thoughts, but at the same time makes it impossible for her to feel other things.


Human:

Character Name: Faith Anderson
Age: 24
Appearance: Five feet seven inches; 168 pounds; short boyish red hair (does not go past her ears); dark blue eyes; she either wears glasses or contacts; usually wears dress clothes but nothing feminine; has a little tattoo of a butterfly on her lower back; has a set of piercings in her ears but she hardly wears earrings
Personality: Serious about her job; formerly a party girl in high school
Bio: Faith is a human who knows about the existance of the Vampires in her world and city. There are times when she's had to work closely with them. In short, she does investigations into the paranormal. What started out as a hobby has gotten her a job as a "Spook Chaser". She worked with the police before and has taken a special interest in the zombies that have been appearing around the city quite recently.

NPC characters are free, in other words can be played by anyone at any given moment. If the poster before has made the NPC at or say, the current poster can still take control of the continuation. Just keep in mind that it shouldn't act against its current mood/state/action/personality/etc.

Appearance: Her young skin and her long hair is white as newly fallen snow. Her eyes and her lips are as red as the blood that she craves. Her height is taller than any normal human, and her curves are as smooth as a peach. As the hair falls from her shoulders, it contrasts sharply against her dress as black as the night that protects her. Her voice is like milk and honey flowing trough your beeing, and could soothe the angriest of crowds. (If anyone can draw her, it's highly appreciated).
Personality: She loves her children of the night more deeply than any mother, and wishes to protect them from all harm. Sadly, this also keeps her from interfering in their politics, since she could never raise her hand against them, no matter what happened. She tries to always be kind.
Bio: Thousands of years of history could never be summarized in a few words.
Abilities: Her powers are far beyond any kind of comprehension.
Loyalist, Rebel, Independent or Human: She's the Queen of the Loyalists. You go figure.


Character name: The King (real name unknown)
Age: As ancient as time.
Appearance: His crimson suit enhances his royal, white face and hair. His build suggests that he is strong, but is yet slim enough to make him look like an ordinary man. His eyes and lips have lent their colour from the fluids of life which sustains him. His face always carries a serious expression, yet he always seems to smile.
Personality: He cares for his children more than any father could care for theirs, but he does not interfer in their politics by request of the Queen. He tries to always be just.
Bio: Thousands of years of history could never be summarized in a few words.
Abilities: His abilities are far beyond comprehension.
Loyalist, Rebel, Independent or Human: Human. Nah, just kidding. King of the Loyalists makes him a Loyalist, right?

It was good to be back where his family was. It had been seven decades since he last visited the king and queen, who he concidered his parents by all means. Now he took a moment to explore the city that they were currently settled in. A few gracious ladies had offered directions and a ride to one of the hot spots in the city but Clifford had turned them down. As he wandered the streets and back alleys he spotted one who he thought to be still buried under a pile of rubble. A smile flickered over the elder man's face as he got closer to George. "Well, well, well. Look who is back and I assume better then ever." He stopped under the lamp and looked at the old knight that the Queen had chosen to be one of her kindred. "How have you been George? Its been a long time."

Clifford remembered hearing about the inncident at one of his parent's former homes that had left the knight buried and thought lost. It had saddened Clifford for he really had grown to like the man before his wandering feet had taken him away to the far East about five days before the inncident. He had returned at once of course but there was really nothing he could do at that point in time.

"I have returned to see how our dear Queen and king are fairing. I have been gone longer then normal this time and have missed them. What about you George? What are you doing standing out at the corner this night. I'm sure you would much rather be doing something else." Clifford looked around and noted the place beyond them with yet more children of the night entering and leaving excitedly. He then returned his eyes to his old friend waiting his answer.

The expression in Georgs face turned serious. "There are people intentionally breaking the laws of vampires." he answered. "The humans who are killed but not turned are walking the streets more and more often, and the King and Queen have decided that something must be done. That is why I am here." He sighed heavily and returned to keep an eye out for suspicious people. "It is indeed fortunate that you have returned at this time. I fear many problems are at hand, and your experience would be a great addition to our strength."

Ariai walked down the street, her acute hearing picking up the click clack of her high heels in the middle of all the noise. She turned her eyes to her favorite Haven, and walked in. She ordered a small cup of tea, and was going to take it outside to sit at a small table when two familiar figures caught her eyes.
"Georg! Clifford!" She trotted over and smiled. "How are you two doing?"

Clifford smiled at Ariai as he nodded in agreement with Georg. "I will do my best to help you stop this issue."' He then turned his attention to the lady who approched. "Little Ariai its been a while. How are you doing?" While he had watched the lovely lady bloom into a wonderful vampiress as an older brotherr he found that now a days more and more often he was drawn to her on a more...romantic level. However it was highly unlikely that she felt the same for him so he just let it go as a crush and hoped that one day he would get over it. It hadn't worked so far in the past century or so.
