High in the orbit of the earth stood an object of stramlined metal. Within this vessel was a cabray of monitors, clicking and beeping away as figure arose on there screen. Keeping watch oer these monitors was
Dr. Jute'Sabat'Mornix. In frustration he strode about the ship, cringing at a hand held monitor as he thought to himself.
' Radiation saturation, insufficient bio material, unstable weather system.'
"Gah!, All this time researching and this has to be the result. Computer, another calculation." A monitor lit up and a mechanical voice sounded a response.
"Predicted provability of planitary self-recover: 27%"
Jute let out a sigh. " Computer, record initiation of request of clearance for evacuation protocol."
"Conditions met, protocol approved."
Jute sat himself at a chair that had several displays one the arms that were located were he rested his hands. He looked forward to see a long window like surphace that gave him a view of the Earth's moon from the ship.
" Begin atmosphere entry."
"Confirmed, intiating"
There was a lurching of the veiw screen as the ship craned around to view the Earth. It shot forward on it's course.
Jute placed his hand on his head and pressed his fingers into the plates on his face. 'Why do things have to get this bad before we are allowed to interfere'
As flames began to fill the viewing screen Jute shifted but showed no sign of alarm, he was crossing into the atmosphere. Suddenly the vessel became drenched in red light as an alram sounded.
" Microwave activity above recomended limits, system taking damage. Engine's failing."
"What!?!"
"Recommend evacuation, escape pod preped"
A door opened in the back of the ship as the flames left the viewscreen to show the landscape of the planet closing in. Jolts of electricity shot across the hull of the ship as Jute ran for his exit. He backed into the pod and strapped in. The door closed and he was shot from the ship. He looked out the side to see his ship falling to Earth. He took hold of a set of handles at his side and began to guide the pod. He eventually landed on a tall buidling, just as his ship impacted with an ear shattering crash. The door opened and Dr. Jute stepped out.
' That's the last time my cousin loans me anything.' He thought as he began his trip to his wrecked vessel.

The sun beat hard upon the battered and fallen figure of a woman colapsed from exhaustion. conciousness was escaping the hero as she thought to herself.
It can't be far from here. I just need to get up and see...take a look around.
Having run from her pursuer all through the night, there was no strength in her legs, no water in her system and no food in her stomach. At least her suit did not overwhelm the body in the heat and sun.
How did he find me? she wondered to herself In two years, how did they figure it out?
She had been hiding, and hiding well wince the good doctor's rise to power, and it had been a full year since she had started gathering resources to take everything back, but.... None of those plans were to take effect for a few years yet. Did they know? Was Applewhite aware of their planning, or was he simply suspicious of the possibility of survivors? Either way, she felt a small sting of regret for having left the doctor's little lap dog alive.
"No," she mumbled aloud. That wasn't true. What she would have lost if she had killed him.... The thought of it was unsettling.

Jute had been rummaging through the bits and peices that were once his beloved and yet somewhat annoying ship. He was despratly searching for the black box which held his central computer so he had something to assist him with the repairs on the ship. He hadn't gone to check the wreck itself becuase of the hull being still heated from the entry, not to mention the ominous nature of the electrical arks that played about the structure, threatening to shock him or anyone who was foolsih enough to try to touch it. It was not long till he eventually came apon the falllen form that he recognized as the planets native sentiant species. He ducked into a nearby buidling before he could be seen.
'A human? She seems to be in a bad way.'
As a precaution, he used his hypnotic suggestion to give himself the image of an old human man before walking out. He made his way to her a stood over her. He immediatly realized her predicament as a case of exhaustion amoung othe things. He kneeled down to her and spoke as he moved his finger in her feild of vision. "Can you hear me? Resopond if you can." He was attempting to judge how coerent she was.

Raptor had just been loosing conciousness as the voice found its way to her ears. It took all of her strength just to push off with one hand and roll onto her back to get a good look at the person.
She looked at him with the eyes of soething that was not human; something that she could not hide since she had abandoned her shades in the escape.
Something was odd about him. Her vision was blurry, but she could very well make out that he was an older gentleman...far too well dressed to have been living in these dead ruins.
She sniffed a couple of times.
"You," she groaned faintly, "You don't smell like you ought to."

He was slightly taken aback at he intuition, but recovered quickly. "Mayhap I simply use an odd colone, but that is hardly what you should be conserned about." He looked her over again and into her eyes. " You have an intersing excentricity in those eyes of yours." He shook his head. " But that is beside the point. " He looked around." I will attempt to bring you into that buidling there. It may have some food or perhaps water we can use to help you." He reached his arms under her to lift her, though in truth he was going to do most of it with his mind, trying to keep as little of his nature exposed as possible.

She could do little to argue, though all she wanted to do was go 'home' and get away from the sixth sense of that Nagaharu.
Ecentric? What angle was this guy playing? He looked perfectly normal, so to speak, so he should have been appauled at her very existance. Hell, if he had been living here since before the New Order, he should have known exactly 'who' she was.
Above all, he should have hated her for it.
All questions were lost, however, as she began to nod off, eventually loosing conceiousness entirely. The last fleeting thought that happened accross her mind was simply, Smells wrong.

As she began to go ragdoll on him, Jute descided to drop the charade and let his arms drop to his side, leaving the strange human to float in front of him. He eventually brought her into a near by bar and grill and placed her on one of the long tables. Of the things that remained within the place were some rotted and mutated fruit, meat and other food goods. He eventuall found that some of the grilled to go nachos were still good along with several packs of twinkies. He picked them up and set them besde the table. He got one of the glasses from the bar and drew some water into it and held it as he stood next to her, waitng for her to wake.

It was a while before the strnage golden eyes began to open and take in the unfamiliar surroundings. It was dark wherever she was. Wherever 'they' were.
She found the old man immediately, and had recovered enough strength to see him clearly. She had thought that her senses were fooling her before, but he still had that unfamiliar smell about him. Not to mention an instinct that just told her there was something about him that was fabricated. There was no immediate sense of danger, though, so she allowed herself to remain resting.
"You're too clean to be living out here," were her first words, "Where are we?"

Jute held back a cringe at the humans persistance at disbeleif. The thing about hypnotic suggestion was, that if a person made enough effort to disbeleave what they were seeing, the image would fail and Jute would be revealed. It usaully wasn't a problem since most didn't have a reason to be suscpicious, but this woman's senses were proving troublesome.
" It appears to be an eating establishment. Here. This will aid your recovery." He held out the glass of water to her. "As for my cleanlyness, It is necassary considering that I am a doctor."

"Hm," that had caught her attention, "We could use a doctor." She grunted as she sat up and accepted the glass of water, downing it quickly. She had been dehydrated worse before, but it was still wonderful to have the cooling water slide down her throat.
He didn't answer her second question, so she could assume he didn't know.
"You don't live here," she said bluntly, "So why are you here? Who are you?"

'Not exactly one to be destracted with apprtiaiton apperantly.' he thought to himself. He didn't say anything until he had something to actually tell her. He knew his name was for to diffrent from the average human name to not rouse more suspicion. He tried to think of something and finally his eyes rested on the jukebox that showed just passed the woman. " You may call me Dr. Jukebox, and I am simply here to be helpful." Jute knew he was never a good lier so he had taken to using turns of fraze and omitions to keep his features and tones from changing as they tended to do when someone told a blatent fabrication.

"Well then, Dr. J," she sighed as she looked over at the twinkies and nachos that he had set out. Apparently that was all the food he could find. All that was edible at least. His scent indicated a blatant lie, but there was still no physical change or indication about him that suggested a trick or hostility. So she went along with it.
She scanned the room. Simple enough for an old resteraunt, possibly frequented by the overweight middle class American consumor at one point. Then she spotted something oddly misshapen on one of the counters. It looked as though Dr. J had pulled it out for inspection and discarded it upon finding it useless. It was difficult to tell, but...it looked like vegitation of some form.
Her eyes widened at the realization.
Of course! How could she not have figured it out before? She knew exactly where she was; a place she had made careful to avoid many times before.
"We have to get out of here," she said in a hurry, still a little weak as she pushed off of the table and onto her wobly feet.

Jute backed up to allow her room to stand. He was a bit confused as to why she was so set on leaving. He held one hand up for her to dissist. " Where do you think you are going. You will not likly get far in you condition. You would be better seved to..."
Crash!!! Shatter!!!
The sounds of broken window stopped Jute in his sentence as two malfromed firgures jumped into the eatery, one crusing a table as it landed. They were slumped and musclar humanoids with growths forming all over there bodies. They gave off a nasty smell and looked to two resteruant patrons with a gaze of hunger and fury. They began to charge, screaming like mad men.

Raptor met their screams with a great rawr and braced her legs to hold her weight as she grabbed the back of one of the chairs. She swung hard at the first mutant charging directly for her, hitting him hard in the head and causing him to swerve right into the path of the second.
The strength returned to her legs as the adrenalin pumped through her body.
"Move!" she called behind her, still limping just a little as she made for the door.

Raptor's attempt to leave was quickly denied as the door too was brocken through by another of the gruesome mutations. It however did not stop to say helo with a scream as the others had. It took a direct charge. In the meantime Jute was attempting to follow Raptor out. When the third member of the unfortunate residents of the city made it's way inside, He was forced to stop. He thought quickly and sent a table hurtling into the ogre with an unseen force. The other two mutants were eager to make up for lost distance as they took up there chase again.
