I'm going to go ahead and assume everyone knows what schizophrenia is. If you don't then look it up here:

I'm not saying one day you're fine and the next you're being taught how to efficiently and silently kill a person by some disembodied voice who has rather selfishly decided to take up residence in your head. Rather, I mean at some point in your life you're fine, then you gradually become aware of random voices speaking to you. In any case, it's all a passive process; you have no control over the voices
appearing.
Is it possible, however, to consciously strive towards creating a mental state resembling schizophrenia (in the sense that you make voices speaking of stuff that you're not really thinking about appear, etc)? And then, would it be possible to reverse the process and remove those voices?
