I don't know if it's just me or not, but it seems like there's not much activity on this guild compared to some others. I mean...the last posts were three days ago....
I'm mainly curious about the fanfictions - considering that's the title of this guild, there aren't a lot of replies to the recently posted fics/authors.
Basically, I'm wondering...is anyone out there?!?!?!

♥♥♥ | Maybe, sorta, kinda... sweatdrop It seems a lot of our mods (me included) have been absent lately, and there are only a few active members already... It would be awesome if we could get it--and keep it--active, though. | ♥♥♥

I pop in occasionally. Business outside of Gaia has kept me away.

I used to come in a lot, but every time I did no updates had happened or I was the last to leave a comment in mostly every topic, lol. So I kind of cut the times I come in here in half, because of the inactivity itself.

Loitering on cliffs, thinking about stuff like screwing you on the beach at night ♥♥♥ | That happens to me a lot when I’m active. I usually have days when I’m super active and constantly check the forums, but...it’s usually about like dead water around here. xd Those are usually the days turtle-chan comes on because I beg her to or pique her interest with something. 3nodding | ♥♥♥

I was mainly wondering because I posted a couple of fics in the Fanfiction forum but I haven't gotten any comments on them yet. I know technically I guess I'm still a noob to the guild, but it's kinda annoying when I don't even get one comment (even if it's "This fic sucks."), but I have several reviews on my account on Fanfiction.net.
I'll admit, though, I really don't like one of the fics I posted...it's a {cringe} InuKik.... {blech}
I wrote that one because the song worked so well...but then I got a bunch of reviews saying to make a sequel and...well...I'll let you read it.
But that was the main reason I started this thread, so...yeah....

BL!SS SAYS: You can't just expect people to care for a fanfiction that you do not even take pride in. Fanfiction.net has hundreds of thousands of users, thus why you got a couple of reviews, verses the few members in this guild not wanting to take the time to read something that probably does not interest them. Catch the reader's attention, and take pride in what you do. Saying that "it sucks" does not promise a good read for your audience, thus we don't want to waste our time.

The main reason I don't care for it is two-fold: a) it's an InuKik and b) it was one of my first written fanfictions. I understand that I need to take pride in my work, but even some of my newer fics - which are much better, in my opinion - aren't getting much attention. But anyway...I'm probably just beating a dead horse, though, so.....

If you aren't happy with it, go back and revise it until you are happy. That is the beauty of fanfiction and the internet.
If your goal is to have your stories noticed, do something outlandishly different. Pick a scenario that isn't commonly used, or take on that has been done into the ground and give it your own twist. I didn't really start to get noticed until I started dabbling with more taboo topics and plots that weren't very commonly used in the fandom.

Yeah...I think that's my plan for one of my stories right now. It's an InuKag - what else is there? - and edges on being M, simply because of the subject matter in the first few chaps. Later on it won't be so bad, but the beginning's kinda rough on the characters, even if I don't go into detail.
Plus, I think I take a different look at a lot of the things that are so much 'common knowledge.' Like the well (and the world beyond) and InuKag's future children.
I think my main problem comes from the fact that I don't have a lot of time to write - especially now. I'm in college - next to last semester - and this is like the crunch time, because finals are in less than 2 weeks.
Everything you can imagine, from leftover homeworks to research reports to stupid matrices (that you have to reduce by hand...ugh... stressed ) is due now....
Writing for pleasure usually takes a backseat for a few months during this time.... Anyone else feel that way? Just curious....
Oh, and virtual Ramen to the person who can guess the movie quote in the first paragraph! (I didn't realize I had written it until after, but it works...and no, it's not an Inu movie....) Here's a clue: "You should write a book: How to offend women in five syllables or less." 3nodding
