Ello Everyone!!
My name is Caitlin, and you can call me Caitlin, or Kaitie Loo. I have recently turned 13 and I crochet. I will soon learn how to knit. ^^ Um, I have made a horrible scarf, and an awesome beanie... When I crochet, I can't follow patterns, I just go with my own flow. I am learning how to sew, and I am a decent mender. I also like to Latch Hook and for all sorts of other things... That's about it!

Hello! My name is Liz. I am 24 (25 in February) and have been a yarn addict since I was in middle school. My mom and a book for left-handed crocheters taught me, although in the past year I've been doing things without patterns (I actually wrote my own amigurumi pattern!) and creating up a storm.
I am addicted to armwarmers, but what got me back into crocheting after a break for a few years was making fishnet gloves. I also have made some afghans, tons of scarves, hats, and those other "normal" crochet projects. wink I also like to make plushies.
Recently I started learning how to spin my own yarn, which is a lot of fun! I've never worked with wool before- usually prefer acrylic yarns for price and ease of care- but spinning and dying my own yarn is a great experience.
I don't know how to knit, but would like to learn just to say I have. smile

I'm DDC, and yes, I am addicted to yarn. My purse frequently contains several skeins, some hooks, and my sunglasses...nothing else. sweatdrop
I crochet, sew, and knit but most of all crochet. I keep forcing myself to enjoy kniting but alas, crocheting is my first love.
I design my own patterns. I discovered amigurumi last summer and have basically become obsessed with the japanese cuteness. But then, who wouldn't??
I am sooo excited to be in this guild!!!!!!!!!
All my love.

Hello everyone! My name is Amanda but I go by Dust or Jain too. I'm 28 and I live in Texas. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 and I have done it ever since. As you can see by my name, I love to make amigurumi. After crocheting for 20 years I had never heard of amigurumi until I became pregnant and now I am a stay at home mom to a one year old boy who is just learning to walk so I don't have as much time for crocheting as I would like. I have to do most of my crocheting while he is asleep and that seems to be less and less. Right now I am putting all my efforts into making some Christmas gifts, starting with the Sushi Roll Scarf pattern I found online. PM me for the link, it's too cute! Fell free to add me to your friends list, I'd love to have some crafty friends! Here is a link to my craft blog. I haven't updated it in a while because I am beta testing Ravelry.com and their system is so much better for keeping a craft blog. But Ravelry should be open to the public soon and they are still inviting new testers if anyone is interested in getting on the list. Can't wait to see how this guild grows! Thanks for inviting me!

Hello all! I'm Sally or CHB666, you pick! I'm 18 and have been picking up various crafts here and there since I learned to sew when I was 7. I crochet a lot, am learning to knit well, sew occationally, and embroyder once in a blue moon. I hope to complete a few good pieces by the end of the year, at least two crochet and a few plushies. Maybe a kitty hat made of fleece if I can find a nice color... Yeah, so thats me, nice to meet you all! 3nodding

Hi! ^__^ My name's Lydia, I'm going to be 21 in December, and I've only started being addicted to yarn (been around 2 months now). I taught myself how to crochet after falling in love with amigurumi. I haven't designed many of my own patterns yet (I shall be eternally indebted to the wonderful people who share their patterns free online), but I'm working at it (my robot 'gurumi is my first free-form project). I'm also the author of the Amigurumi-go-round thread down at the textiles forums here on Gaia.
I'm excited to be a member of this guild and to have been able to get in touch with so many other amigurumi fans!
The last smile wavered, and disappears, And the warmth is all that's left.

Hello all! I'm Michelle, although I'll also go by Mitch or Firrerreo. I'm 24 and have been a yarn addict since I was in college when I blew out my knee and needed something sedentary to do. Currently I'm working on an afghan for my mom and a pair of socks for myself - trying that new method of knitting them both at the same time. I usually haunt Knitty when looking fore new good patterns.

Hello! I'm Violet, I guess. sweatdrop
Not much to say. Teenage, female. I'm primarily an artist, but I've been crocheting and doing other sort of crafts for a while, and I love making amigurumi plushies.
Anyways, I'm also teaching myself to sew now, which is quite... interesting.
I want to learn to knit, except the knitting club at my school hasn't had any meetings yet. We didn't last year either, but I keep hoping.

Hi, I'm Hana and I'm 24 years old. I've always been fairly craft-y and learned to crochet and knit in middle school. Sadly, my knitting always ended up with big holes in it and I couldn't figure out why so I gave up. XD Luckily, I took up crocheting again a year or so ago and puttered around with it, and started knitting again maybe...six months ago?
I think crocheting is much easier and more fun, but since I like making more wearable things knitting is more practical for me. I knit continental style, which I've heard is pretty common among people who started crocheting first. My favorite cast-on is long tail cast-on, though I want to try out twisted German since I'm about to start seriously on socks. I generally buy cheap acrylic yarns, but I'm trying to throw in a couple nicer ones too as I get better at putting together projects.
So far I've made scarves, hats, granny squares, and fingerless gloves. I'm about to work on some mittens and socks and I feel juuuuust about ready to start a sweater. I like free patterns though, so that tends to limit me a little.
My username on Ravelry is Hana, and I'm a fan of Knitty too. biggrin

Name: Kat Age: 20 Birthday: November 11 Location: It varies
I learned how to crochet from my grandmother... but hated it... then in High School I randomly picked it up again and started a little charity where the school made scarves, hats, gloves etc... by knitting or crocheting and we donated them to less fortunate children... Even though I went to college I still participate (since I was a founder it would be weird if I didn't) and mail them back home... I don't know how to knit, but would love to learn... crocheting is my thing... I love unique patterns like Twinkie Chan's...
What else? I'm currently dating a FABULOUS guy... we're having to do the long distance thing at the moment though...
I love everything musical... though I'm not musically talented.
that's about it...
oh and if you want to make some scarves or whatever for my little charity just pm me...and i'll give you my addy to send them to.

Hi! I'm Jenn, a.k.a. As_Weasley_as_I_wannabe. I'm a 34-YO Domestic Goddess from West Virginia. I have a great husband, Brad, and 2 sons Nic (age 15) & Bradley (age cool .
I alternate between knitting and crochet as my fave crafting methods. I'll crochet until I get tired of it, then knit until I get tired of it, then start all over again with crochet. I also cross-stitch, sew, paint, and do woodcrafts.
I'm a self-confessed Harry Potter addict, and have a passion for all things purple. I'm the Database/Birthday Elf on the Harry Potter Crafts Yahoo! Group, and (like my pal Mary above) a volunteer Crafty Witch for The Leaky Cauldron.
In my spare time *snort*, I frequent Ravelry & Craftster.
