Welcome to the Arrancar Character Creation Databook. Listed below will be the simple step-by-step process to help you create a Gillian or Adjuchas-class Arrancar for Ichirin no Hana.


Step One: Read the blank character sheet on the post below.
Step Two: Look over the posts beneath that that go over each section of the character sheet for your convienance.
Step Three: Fill out your Arrancar Application and be sure to attach the pair of questions in the post below.
Step Four: PM the Application to Aria Mournesong

Name, Age, Height & Weight

Name: This is easy, it's the name of your character. Last names for Arrancar are optional.
Format: Last Name, First Name

Sex: Male or Female. Any smartaleck responses here will result in me immediately deleting your PM ^.^

Age: This is how old your character looks. As Arrancar are formerly Hollows, and a Hollow could be a bajillion years old before turning, just stating how old they look is fine.

Height: This represents the height of your character in relation to their age.
Your options are:

Weight: This is the overall appearance of your character. Your options are:

Arrancar Ranks
The Arrancar are ranked based on their strength in comparison to other Arrancar. The strongest 10 make up the Espada while the rest function is Numeros and carry out various functions in Hueco Mundo.
**Your number will be assigned to you after your Character is approved**


The Espada (Japanese for "ten blades," Spanish for "sword") are the top-ranked arrancar in Aizen's army. Each Espada member is chosen for their superior combat ability and then assigned a number from 1 to 10 that indicates their rank and relative power level, which is tattooed somewhere on their body (Grimmjow's is on his lower back, for instance). The Espada are given control over the Números and are regarded as the strongest arrancar in existence. Similar to the power gap between captains and lieutenants in the Gotei 13, the strength of the Espada far surpasses that of the average Número.

The Números (Japanese for "number holders," and Spanish for "numbers") are the combat specialists. They are assigned a two digit number at birth from 11 to 99 to indicate their age (Número 11 is the oldest, Número 99 is the youngest).

The Privaron Espada (Japanese for "ten fallen blades," Spanish for "deprived sword") are former Espada who have officially lost their rank and are assigned a three-digit number. Being former Espada, they are far stronger than the normal Números. They reside in Tres Cifras, which translates literally from Spanish as "three digits".

The Exequias (Japanese for "funerary attacking force," Spanish for "funeral") are arrancar that are part of the execution division, apparently charged with termination of intruders and rebels. They are the equivalent of the Soul Society's Onmitsukidō



Theme Songs
Theme songs are incorporated to give you a "heroic" or "villanous" boost during combat. When your theme song is playing it gives the Shinigami a temporary boost in battle. The song should reflect the personality of the Shinigami or their particular ability.

Format: In the Application
Combat Bonus: Chosen by myself and Adam Stardust.
Duration: 1 to 2 posts depending on the song/bonus.

Arrancar Stats
Health: The overall health of a Arrancar
-When this reaches zero the Arrancar has either been rendered unconscious or has died
-Some Theme Songs can help a Arrancar continue to fight temporarily
-Arrancar can attempt a Spirit Power roll to attempt to continue to fight after their health as reached zero. (To reflect the bad guy always "getting up" after a major attack).

Stamina: The endurance of an Arrancar to maintain fighting.

Reiatsu: "Killing Intent" and Spiritual Power of an Arrancar
-All Arrancar are able to operate at 90% of their normal Reiatsu without any excess Stamina costs ("Normal state")
-"Killing Intent" roll can be used as a substitute for Intimidation in continuing to fight at your full potential. However Stamina costs will triple afterwards. (Thinking of removing this one)
-Can be used to induce "Fear" into those within 2 areas of the Arrancar, those significantly "weaker" than the Arrancar's killing intent may be overwhelmed and pass out
-A Spirit Aura forms around your Arrancar as you raise your Reiatsu from it's "Normal State"

Intimidation: This Stat is like a reverse willpower for the Arrancar. You buy points for your Maximum Intimidation, the Arrancar then get points for "bullying/taunting" their prey to fill this Stat up to its maximum level
-Used to determine how long an Arrancar can fight at their full potential (100% Reiatsu). Once you've reached your limit then you begin to use up Intimidation Points in order to continue fighting at that level, Stamina costs double at this point.
-Unused Initimidation can used with a Dice Roll to try and get an accumulated total of Initimidation + 1, to continue fighting (without increased Stamina costs or using Willpower) for a length of your Unused Intimidation or until you are struck again. Once either happens though, your Stamina costs triple.

Intuition: Arrancar's awareness of their environment and Analysis ability
-Used in conjuction with Pesquisa to pinpoint the Spirit Power of nearby beings
-Allows the Arrancar to detect the Spirit Power of nearby beings
-Can be used to try and "Find" those who are hiding their Spirit Power
-Can be used to find the fear of their victim

Spirit Power: Amount of Spirit Energy stored in the Arrancar
-Arrancar can spend these points to increase the damage of his attack by 10%
-Arrancar can spend these points to increase his Reiatsu by 10% for 5 posts
-Arrancar can spend these points to "knock back" opponent in the same area as them by one to two areas
-These points can only be refreshed by "Feeding"

Strength: Physical strength of the Arrancar
-Used to determine To-Hit of grappling attacks
-Used to determine the damage of your physical attacks
-Damage is added to your Reiatsu for hand-to-hand manuvers

Stealth: Arrancar's ability to avoid detection and cunning
-Used in conjuction with Garganta to increase stealth
-Used to perform stealth actions
-Used to "Hide" your Spirit Power from those around you

-Used to calucate To-Hit of Cero based attacks
-Higher levels unlock better Cero versions

Hierro ("Steel Skin")
-Higher levels give the Arrancar stronger skin to block oncoming attacks
-Hierro levels bought with Technique points can not exceed this Stat in levels

Desarmado ("Unarmed"):
-Used to determine Hand-to-Hand Stuff

Pesquisa ("Inquiry")
-Used to enhance Intuition ability
-High levers unlock ways to detect even the most Hidden victims

Garganta ("Black Cavity"):
-Used to determine knowledge in opening portals to and from Hueco Mundo
-Used to determine knowledge in using the Inbetween World to hide Reiatsu
-Higher levels allow Techniques that can hide others in addition to yourself

Sonído ("Agility/Sound")
-Used to calculate Defensive Evasion Manuvers
-Resounding Revolution can be used as an enhancement to this Stat
-Higher levels of Sonído unlock better travel and combat-movement Techniques

Hollow Abilities
Like shinigami, hollows have a multitude of combat skills and abilities, most of which are usually unique to specific hollows. The more powerful hollows, however, have access to a range similar techniques of greater power or use than their own unique skills. Hollows usually acquire energy to power their abilities by devouring souls, but can also ingest energy from the atmosphere when in realms with high concentration of spiritual energy, such as Hueco Mundo.
Remember that you can not choose any Techniques that are Higher than your Stat in that Ability. (Example: An Arrancar with a Cero of 3 can not choose anything from the Cero or Gran Ray Cero Set)

Mask Location: Location on your body
Mask Appearance: Description of what it looks like ,remember that in most cases Arrancar's masks are not shown in their entirety until their zanpaktou are released.
Hollow Hole Location: Location on your body
Arrancar Number Location: Where your rank number is located on your body

Cero ("Hollow Flash")
Cero are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers.
Cost: Initial "Set" Cost + for each Level. The Initial Set Cost, allows you to access the Set but it has no Levels yet.

Bala Set: Arrancar is able to create Bala ("hollow bullet") attacks
Initial Set Cost: 1 Technique Point + 1 Technique Point per Level
Level 1:
Maximum Damage: 10% of Reiatsu
Level 2:
Maximum Damage: 25% of Reiatsu
Level 3:
Maximum Damage: 50% of Reiatsu

Cero Set: Arrancar is able to create Cero ("hollow flash") attacks
Initial Set Cost: 3 Technique Points + 1 Technique Point per Level
Level 4:
Maximum Damage: 80% of Reiatsu
Level 5:
Maximum Damage: 90% of Reiatsu
Level 6:
Maximum Damage: 100% of Reiatsu

Gran Rey Cero Set: Arrancar is able to create Gran Rey Cero ("royal hollow flash") attacks
Initial Set Cost: 5 Technique Points + 2 Technique Points per Level
Level 7:
Maximum Damage: 110% of Reiatsu
Level 8:
Maximum Damage: 125% of Reiatsu

Hierro ("Steel Skin")
Hierro refers to the hardened skin of the arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released zanpakutō bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable.
The Damage Reduction granted by Hierro is always considered "on" once it's taken.
Cost: 1 Technique Point per Level, 2 Technique points for Level 7. Each Level must be taken in order (so you can't take Level 3 without having Level 1 and 2.)

Desarmado ("Unarmed"):
Desarmado are the Hand-to-Hand techniques that the arrancar may have developed without the use of a Zanpaktou.


Manuver or Technique that uses up to 10% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 1 Technique point per Manuver
Manuver or Technique that uses up to 25% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 2 Technique point per Manuver
Manuver or Technique that uses up to 50% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 3 Technique points per Manuver
Manuver or Technique that uses up to 75% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 4 Technique points per Manuver
Manuver or Technique that uses up to 100% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 5 Technique points per Manuver
Manuver or Technique that uses up to 110% Reiatsu: X Stamina, 6 Technique points per Manuver

Pesquisa ("Inquiry")
Persquisa is the arrancar equivalent of the shinigami ability to sense spiritual pressure. It functions similarly to sonar.
Cost: 1 Technique point per ability


Rastreo:
This ability allows the Arrancar to lock onto the spiritual energy of a victim and track them no matter how well they try to disguise or hide their spiritual pressure. The victim's spirit energy resembles a small flame that the Arrancar can see visibly whereever they are at. However, when locked onto the target the Arrancar is unable to sense the presence of any other spiritual beings until the ability is released. The target must also be on the same plane as the Arrancar (so it only works if they're both on Earth, Hueco Mundo, Soul Society, etc).
This ability requires 3 points in Pesquisa.


Rastreo Grande: This ability allows the Arrancar to lock onto the spiritual energy of numerous victims and track them no matter how well they try to disguise or hide their spiritual pressure. The victim(s)' spirit energy resembles a small flame that the Arrancar can see visibly whereever they are at. However, when locked onto the target(s) the Arrancar is unable to sense the presence of any other spiritual beings until the ability is released. The target(s) must all be on the same plane as the Arrancar (so it only works if they're all on Earth, Hueco Mundo, Soul Society, etc).
This ability requires 6 point in Pesquisa.

Garganta ("Black Cavity"):
Garganta is how arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.
Cost: 1 Technique point per ability


Garganta Menos: This ability tears open a dimensional gateway, but it is only large enough for you to enter. This allows movement to and from Hueco Mundo.
Requires 1 point in Garganta.

Negación: Negación fields surrounds a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them. The field then pulls the target towards the Arrancar that created the field.
Requires 1 point in Garganta and you must be a Gillian-Class Arrancar.

Garganta: This ability tears open a dimension gateway large enough for you and any others you desire to take with you. This allows movement to and from Hueco Mundo.
Requires 3 points in Garganta.

Negación Grande: Grand Negación fields surround numerous targets in a square beam of light that isolates them from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them. The field then pulls the target(s) towards the Arrancar that created the field.
Requires 5 points in Garganta and you must be a Gillian-Class Arrancar.

Sonído ("Agility/Sound")
Sonido is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami flash steps and the Quincy hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for flash steps.
Air Walking requires at least 1 points of Sonido, while Sound Step requires 3 points of Sonido


Air Walking This ability allows an Arrancar to ride the spirit particles in the air, producing an effect that resembles flight.
Initial Stat Modification: Travel 0 Areas(can "Hover"), -2 Attack when attempting a Flying "Charge" attack
Initial Cost: 16 Stamina per post, 1 Technique point to Aquire
"Level" Options:
- Lower Stamina Cost by 5
- Increase Area Travel by 1
- Increase Attack Modification for a Flying "Charge" by 2


Sound Step This ability allows an Arrancar to quickly "step" and ride the spirit particles to another nearby location. When used this produces a "blur" affect of where the Arrancar was once at.
Initial Stat Modification: 0 Areas Travelled, 0 Bonus Defense, Unable to use an Offensive Action the same post a Flash Step is used
Initial Cost: 21 Stamina per use, 1 Technique point to Aquire
"Level" Options:
- Lower Stamina Cost by 4
- Increase Area Travel by 1
- Able to use an Offensive Action in the same post (Taken once)
- Increase Defense Bonus by 1 (When Evading with Sonido)

Unique Abilities
These are Hollow-type Techniques that are unique to your Arrancar. The exact nature of this power is up to the player but the End Cost/Damage/Etc will be placed by me.
A maximum of Two Unique Abilities may be Chosen.
Cost: 4 Technique points per Ability


Example(s):
Aaroniero Arruruerie's ability to absorb the unique abilities of any Hollow that he has devoured. However, he can only use these absorbed abilities one at a time.

Yammy's Gonzui ("Soul Breath") ability, which allowed him to suck the souls from living humans en masse. Only those with above average spirit power could resist dying outright.

Neliel Tu Oderschvank's ability to swallow energy blasts and fire them back, indicated by the eyes on her skull mask glowing. Second ability is her vomit, (which she believes to be saliva) that acts as a powerful healing agent.

Arrancar Zanpaktou (Soul Slayer)
If powerful enough, an arrancar can seal his or her excess power into the form of a zanpakutō. Unlike with shinigami, this zanpakutō is simply the hollow's true form sealed into a sword. Therefore, an arrancar's release of their zanpakutō is merely a temporary restoration of their former selves.



Resurrección
An arrancar release is called resurrección, like the Shinigami the Arrancar's release form is activated by a command and the name of the Zanpaktou.
Once activated the Arrancar's body resembles more of what it was like when they were a full Hollow. However, while in their released-form they are able to use more powerful versions of their Unique Abilities as well as new Zanjutsu in this form.
Cost: 15 Stamina to activate


General Bonuses
Just copy and paste the Stat Modification and the appropriate Reiatsu Rank into the Zanpaktou section of your Application.
Stat Modification: +3 Attack, +3 Defense
Gillian-Class: x2 to x6 Reiatsu Increase
Adjuchas-Class: x4 to x8 Reiatsu Increase
Espada: x5 to x10 Reiatsu Increase


Specific Bonuses
These Bonuses are up to you, however, I will be choosing how much of a bonus your Zanpaktou recieves. When sending in your Application just include what Stat(s) increase your Arrancar recieves when in Resurrección. This is only limited by your imagination.

Arrancar Zanjutsu (Sealed Hollow Powers)
Like the Zanpaktou's specific bonuses, the abilities of your Zanpaktou are up to you. For now, to simplify things, it is implied that you know the name of your attacks. But in the future knowing or not knowing the name of the attack will effect its effeciency. Like the Bonuses, Bankai Zanjutsu are only limited by your imagination.

Example(s):
Aaroniero Arruruerie's can access the full range of his absorbed abilities at will, as opposed to the single ability limit imposed on him when it is sealed


Neliel Tu Oderschvank's trademark is to absorb an incoming cero by swallowing it and firing it back in addition she fires one of her own, thus creating a Cero Doble (Double Hollow Blast).

Nel's second ability is called Lanzador Verde ("Green Spearman"), in which she throws her lance directly at her opponent. The lance moves at high speed and rotates extremely fast, drilling through anything it hits

Arrancar Tools
These are tools available to the Arrancar, some range from items while others are subordinants.
Max Items: 5(Gillian) or 6(Adjuchas), Espada get an Additional 2 Item Slots


Arrancar Uniform
The Arrancar have a standard theme for their clothing. Their uniforms consist of a white jacket, black sash, white hakama, and black socks with white sandals: In essence, the uniforms are basically inverted shinigami uniforms.


Gillian (Menos)
Cost: 1 Item Slot, 1 Item Slot per 2 Gillians if Espada
Gillian-class Menos are the weakest class of menos and the first stage of menos evolution. They are giant in comparison to other hollows, dwarfing even the largest standard hollows by at least the size of a two-story building, but lack agility and intelligence. While a gillian-class menos is quite powerful, they are still much weaker than a shinigami lieutenant.
All Gillians will have the same basic Stats as well as the Cero ability.
Gillian-Class Menos also come with the ability to use Negación ("negation") Fields to rescue fellow Hollows/Arrancar. -Negación fields surround a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them. The field then pulls the target towards the menos that created the field.


Adjuchas (Menos)
Cost: 1 Item Slot, 1 Item Slot per 2 Adjuchas if you are an Espada
Adjuchas-class Menos are the medium class of menos in terms of power, and the second stage in the menos evolution. Adjuchas can vary radically in appearance, from bulky humanoids to the jaguar-like form of Grimmjow Jeagerjaques. Unlike the gillians, they are roughly human-sized. They are also much smarter than the gillians and have the power to match. It is likely they could fight evenly with at least a shinigami lieutenant. They watch over the many gillian-class menos, and in the anime are also capable of controlling them.
All Gillians will have the same basic Stats as well as the Cero ability but may also have one Unique Hollow ability.


The Fracción (Lesser Arrancar)
Cost: 3 Item Slots, 2 Item Slots if you are an Espada
Are a subsection of the Números that directly serve a specific Espada. The number of Fracción for any given Espada varies depending on their preferance. The basic Número uniform consists of a white-collared jacket and robes held with a black sash. However, the uniform is customizable, giving each Número a sense of individuality. The fighting ability of Números is thought to be superior to all other arrancar, except for the Espada.
The rank of the Fraccion (The Privaron Espada, Exequias or a plain Numeros) is up to the Espada, but I will assign the Stats to them.


Caja Negación ("Negation Box")
Cost: 2 Item Slots per Box, 1 Item Slot if you are an Espada
Espada have a special cube-shaped device meant to simulate negación fields, which are used to punish their subordinates if necessary. The cube, when used on a subject, traps them in an alternate dimension from which there is no escape; however, this assumes it's being used as intended. More powerful arrancar, namely the Espada themselves, can escape given enough time.
