....what's there to believe? the sun rises, it's light, the sun falls, it's dark. Although, that could be just a specific perception of reality.....<.<

There is no such thing as dark. 'dark' is what is used to describe the absence of light. just like how cold just meens no heat.

Can you really say that? Or is light the destruction of dark?
You can't say there's no such thing as darkness, it is not just "the absence of light". It is the void of non-existance.
Again, it is up to everyone's own views and perceptions. What exactly "Dark" and "Light" means to people may differ from person to person. Perhaps dark is the shadows of one's brighter side. Or maybe vice versa? Does light overshadow our darker side?
Depending on your perception of the world, there may have been darkness before light. And if you believe dark came before light, then perhaps light does not exist.
And that statement is completely untrue, yet falls under the same logic as yours. A lot of these questions are based soley on each individual's interpretation of what they believe in their heart. And you've expressed yours, so nice job lol
And now I've expressed mine x3

But what do scientists know? In the subject of good(light) versus evil(dark) I'd have to say I storngly believ in yin and yang. Everything has a bad opposing it's good, like magnets. kind of reminds me of newtons law of action and reaction... you see this is what happens when you force yourself to take honors applied science. EVERYTHING reminds you of science.

Well, I trend to relate a lot of things to science. But it doesn't mean a thing sometimes.
Dark exists because it's there. If dark didn't exist there would be no dark. Yes, darkness is the absence of light, that's the name given to it and the applied definition. So in the void of emptiness you find darkness. Dark is the literal term for it and shall always be.
And yet....
Honors Applied Science huh? Sounds hard... The hardest class I took was AP Calculus... I feel stupid now...

eww that sounds hard :[ After I get the aquired credits I'm NEVER taking another math class. I hate math so much... I have an easier time in my stupid science class than my algebra class >< just plain simple algebra yet it's concepts escape me...
but I'm getting off topic sweatdrop

I have as well... Gawd math was hard... And don't even bother me with my score of a 105 in Calculus during the last quarter... That was pure luck... getting a perfect score.
But as for science, I got the minimum science credits I needed. I took Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I made A's in all of them and I was happy with that.
((I took psychology too, but that's beside the point))
And I've gotten even further off topic ((Good thing it's the Chatterbox xD))

I'm taking alot of art classes though and I'll take alot of computer classes when my school lets me... I'm not really sure what classes I need to take for my future though crying I'm just a stupid freshman who's never had the ability to choose her own classes before!

Haha, don't worry about it. You're still young, I didn't know what I wanted to do until I nearly graduated. in fact... I didn't... I was split between joining the Air Force or going to college.
I finally decided to go to college, a technical school. So now I'm training to become a computer programmer, which involves a TON of math.
And just so you know, if you work with any of the technical aspects of computers, you may have to work with math. Programming and Networking are both good fields to be in, but programming is VERY heavy in math.

i got something better than what i first posted. Light is the force of creation. No matter how evil, light is always the force of creation. On the other hand, Darkness is the force of creation. No matter how good it is, like the death of a basilisk, darkness is allways the end. One cannot exist without the other.
Without light, every living thing would die. Every structure would perish. Without Darkness, no one would die, and everyone would live forever hungry. Too much of one force will eventually compeltly take over the balace. too much light will outpower dark. too much dark will overpower light. the pecents must go no further 45 and 55.

You've pretty much set up a similar situation to the Yin and Yang theory...
