Throughout the land, connecting the towns to the Great City of Grantz are the roads. Many tavel far and wide on these roads, be they adventurers, Merchants, or Bandits. Scattered along these roads are rock rings, where most people sleep at night. Depending what signs you follow, you may end up somewhere unpleasant. So make sure you follow the right one.

Trouble on the Road
Fist sighed as he sat down in his large wagon. It was one of those wagons that is usually led by a horse. He had been attacked by a couple daemons, and the creatures had killed his horse. One of them had dragged it away and the other two stayed to finish Fist off. To bad Fist was better at hand to hand combat then the creatures where. He managed to kill both of them by striking various pressure points on their body and managed to kill them. He sighed, and pulled out a bell from inside the wagon. He started ringing it. "A little help anyone?" He called out to the empty road. It seemed that no one would be coming for a while.

Well, things where looking rather difficult for Fist until, it seemed by a miraculous twist of fate, something moved between a clump of trees, the light darting around the oaks dappling its pale hide. It was impossible to see for a moment, until a head peered out to the right of the clump and turned to survey him warily.

It was a horse, not that its presence was strange in itself, wild horses dotted the landscape occasionally, but this one was well groomed and obviously very finely bred. It was a fleabitten grey, with the distinct head shape of the Arabian, but there was no way it could be a purebred, it was easily at 16hh, conveniently large enough to pull the wagon.

The stallion continued to watch the man suspiciously, then deciding he was harmless, walked out to a bit of new grass shoots with all the fearlessness of a tame animal and began eating, but keeping an eye on him all the same. It was now apparent the horse was wearing a ruined, finely woven halter hanging limply around its neck.

Fate, or just dumb luck?

Fist nearly laughed, but stopped himself before he scared it away, instead what he did was pull an apple out of the wagon and slowly walked over to the horse, apple in hand. He held his hand out, with the apple in his hand, to the horse, hopefully he would be able to get it to pull the wagon.

The animals change in attitude was apparent immediately, it went from a haughty indifference to excitedly interested in about 0.2 seconds. Its head came up away from the grass and it extended its nose excitedly towards the apple then began hurriedly trotting over. The horse dilated his nostrils at the fruit and took a sniff to make sure it was what he thought it was, then, appearing satisfied, sunk its teeth into it.

Of course, horse’s mouths aren’t big enough to stuff a whole apple into, so instead it ended up picking it up, then looking very confused. It did a funny looking leap to the side before biting down hard and splitting the apple in two. Crunching again it split the half already in its mouth in two again and dropping some more on the floor. After eating that, the horse dropped its nose to the ground to finish off the rest, ensuring it was conveniently very distracted for a little.

Fist sighed, "Well now, if you could do me a favor, I need a horse to get my wagon back to town. If you wouldn't mind, could you please lead me to the town?" He asked the horse, not expecting an answer from it. He hoped that he would be able to get the horse and lead it to the town. If not he might as well try take the wagon himself. He laughed at the thought.

After finishing its treat contentedly the horse sauntered up to Fist and waited next to him. His next move after that was to sniff at him for any other treat, then, finding none, bunting Fist’s chest lightly with his head as a manner of affection. Apparently his love was very easy to buy. It wasn’t too difficult from this point onward, as long as the other horse’s headcollar was relatively intact the stallion could still be attached and lead on with the broken halter.

||OoC|| BTW, yeah, I'm going somewhere with this. ||

Fist laughed and patted the horse on the head, "Ok then, well come on." He tried to lead the horse to his wagon and if it did come he would strap the head collar.

((Since your controling the horse I won't go much farther, I don't want to mess up what you have planned ^_^ Since I don't like doing that lol))

Feeling the tug on the halter the horse obligingly moved his feet, following Fist towards the wagon. It seemed he was fairly used to the routine as when he looked up to notice where he was being taken he began moving of his own accord, yet hesitantly to ensure he wasn’t misreading the signal. Standing in front of the support poles he slowly backed himself between them, and then glanced at Fist for guidance. When no move was made to get him out, the horse pricked its ears comfortably and looked around expectantly.

"Seems as if you have done this before havn't you?" He asked the horse as he started to lead him towards the next town. "OK! Finally I can deliver these smithing items." He said to the horse even though he didn't expect it to say anything, becuase horses can't talk, can they?

The horse took one step before digging its heels into the ground and rearing up as high as the collar would allow. It neighed deafeningly and lashed out at Fist with his front hooves, missing, but with full intent to drive him back. The second its forelegs hit the ground again it took off at a flying start and was galloping away as though possessed, off the road and almost tipping the cart over in its frenzied gallop. It was very likely Fist could have been crushed if the horse hadn’t of reared first.

It wasn’t long till it slowed down, but by then Fist was well and truly out of sight. Breathing heavily from the run the horse negotiated its way into a grove that was hard to see from outside then shook its head triumphantly. Almost instantly the legs began to change shape, the hooves splitting, tail retracting; it was much like watching the speeded up film of a growing tree. Then, cackling delightedly a young elven-looking woman was slipping out of the collar left around her waist.

She turned around to survey her prize, clutching her staff excitedly and pulling off the cover. “Bah, smithing items.” She almost hissed before quickly looking through them. In the end she separated out all of Fists food, a water bottle and a hammer and chisel then muttered some words over them. Immediately then began turning grey, hard, then began to shrink into pebbles. Arranging the rocks carefully into her satchel she stepped over to the edge of the grove and looked out.

Yep, Fist had just been the victim of a rather unusual highway robbery. If she hadn't of thought better at the last minute she would have replied to his question in perfect English for the simple pleasure of watching the look on his face. The cart trail was large and easy to follow, but she wasn’t overly worried about him going to chase after the ‘horse’, few people did. Still, there was always the chance that this one would. He's young, which tends to mean impulsive, and who knows, she thought, he may be on his way, especially if the items are of value.

There he sat, shrouded off to the side of the road by the reeds and other various foliage of the culvert. His hands sat at the ready, both gripping tightly at the pummel of his daggers. What was this? A robbery? You mean I was actually beaten to my prey? Unthinkable, something had to be done.

Quietly, he sat his one exposed powder blue ocular peering out though the parts of his sterling silver hair. The dark black oil paint held a few of the clippings and broken dried straws from the lush vegetation he had been crawling through.

Fist laughed as the horse startd to run off, having managed to avoid being hit by the wagon, he started off at a rather quick pace to reach the wagon. After 10 minutes of following the trail he arrived at the wagon to see a elven women there. "So, it was either your horse or there was no horse. Give me back the smithing items. I have a job to do." He said as he started to unwrap the cloth around his hands. "Don't think I won't strike a women. I'm not as noble as you may think. Give them back now." He said to her in an angry tone. Fist has heard that a horse had stolen items from another person who delevired things. Though he was fired when the boss scoffed at his reason for not being able to deliever his things.

The woman heard Fist coming before she saw him, and immediately snapped into action. Aiming the staff at a section dangerously close to where the hidden watchers head was hidden, a few branches broke accompanied by a sound that sounded eerily like a flying knife right next to his ear, then bringing the staff down as though hitting the ground some hoof-shaped prints appeared. Rounding on the headcollar she muttered the same words as before, turning it into a large stone and directed it at the left wheel where it embedded itself in the ground and trapped the wagon. As a final thought she made a slashing movement at the restraints the collar was attached to, slashing the leather harness.

She was just about to transform again but unfortunately, this time she was beaten to it. Narrowing her eyes at his accusation with a practised distaste she responded with more than a hint of venom. “Insolent child! Shame on your parents for not teaching you more respect! Do you think I have no honour?” She jabbed the bottom of the staff in the direction of the spot where the wheel was trapped, “Your imbecile of a horse got the wagon stuck. I managed to cut it loose before it before it killed itself,” she growled, motioning to the sliced harness then holding her arm up were a nasty cut ran down the length. ”Take it, I have no want of them, and fix your attitude. Not everyone is a criminal,” she said, and then fixed him with a look that plainly said that was exactly what she suspected he was.

He squeaked, pulling his head back down to duck out of the way of the cutting and slicing. What the hell was that? A small shake of his head was given to the situation, staying hidden amongst the reads. Bright blue eyes gazed at the two finding this the appropriate time to show himself. He couldn't very well just pop out of the bushes, he thought this to be a bit odd. Hello, I was creepily watching you from the shadows, hello.

A guise! That was it, perfect. He reached gripping clumps of earth, brushing the hand fulls at his cheeks. A small groan was given as he stumbled from the reeds, falling to the ground between the two. He gave the impression that he was dehydrated having stumbled through the forests and fields for some time. "Ehh...H..Help.."
