Mission History/Updates:

UNSC In Amber Clad followed a Covenant Assault Carrier through a slipspace portal over New Mombasa. The resulting explosion destroyed the base of the Space Tether elevator. The remains of the tether now dot the African wastes.

Spartans were inserted along with a large force of Marines to retake the city.

A Strange ship emerges from slipspace carrying the Covenant Prophet of Truth as well as Spartan-117. Contact with 117 is lost shortly after the initial contact.

The Covenant break through the orbital defense grid and begin to increase their numbers planet side; FADM Hood orders a general retreat from New Mombasa.
