Special event?
I have heard rumors of those. How do you earn them? How do you know they happen?

Despite not getting one yet, I heard the way they work, randomly Gaia likes to give back (I work at a casino, so I will assume its not as random as most people believe and in fact after you log so many hours or do so much in Gaia you receive it specially as a reward. It will show up as a graphic at the top of your screen as well as a link at the bottom. According to what Ive learned in my time here, it can contain anything from every day items to special items or even gold itself. Ive heard pink links at the bottom of your screen are to be looked forward to gleefully. ~grins~ Anyway, I hope I was a help, and if anyone else wants to chime in, go right ahead!---Vi!

I even got the spiffy top from another AGED gaian! (thank you!) The market list shows a high value for these things, but I checked and they do not seem to be selling! Oh, well! I am now trying my best to put together a "look" and am trying to figure out what peices I need and want for that. The young girl thing doesn't suit me so well, but I like the black stuff. I have an eye out for some glasses and am accumulating tickets for the belt I want... now if only a goft box *would* float my way!!!

omgomgomg I just got my FIRST EVER pink link! O.O
Ok... for those of you who (like me) were confused about how you get a pink link, I'll tellya.
I was hunting for ava contests (one on one only) in chatterbox... when I went back to the main chatterbox page to see the threads, one of the announcement stickies was highlighted in PINK! I thought it was just a new announcement so I clicked to read it and I JUST GOT 1k!
