So i have only about a million and a heif links to corsets and the like, so i thought i'd create a share forum for the lot of us to make happy with.
and by making happy with- i mean hot seks showering each other with most brilliant clothing and other goods that will make our pockets go empty ... yes.
links should not be limited to clothing, please feel free to include hair makeup and general reference sites too ♥
general warning to all- when i checked these sites none had nudity/cussing on them, but if they do when you look, please tell me so i can remove it or just ignore it.
so-- unless i've just missed the forum where this needs to be-- here you go:
corsets and pretty clothing ♥ Pinup Girl Clothing Babygirl Boutique Heavy Red FairyGothMother Period Corsets
hair ♥ Amphigory Hair Rolls Tutorial
random♥ Shana Logic for all of us who have always wondered what this do is called: it's a pompadour!

I have bought quite a lot of goodies from Sock Dreams as well. Everything on that site is of great quality, and feels so nice to wear. 3nodding
Corsets: Marquis de Sade
I HAD more, unfortunately my husband cleaned out the bookmarks the other day. I need to find my links again and I will post more. 3nodding

I love this makeup tutorial, it's beautiful for a pinup look but it's not really a faithful recreation of how people would wear their makeup day-to-day - particularly in britain in the 40s makeup would be limited to lips only, eye makeup was pretty rare really, and people couldn't afford it ^-^ I prefer the heavy makeup look, it adds a bit of glamour xxx

The 40's hair in 5 minutes is my favorite.
I love victory rolls. ; ;
I'm going to have to get some of the stuff to make them.
And the makeup tutorial really makes me want to get some more make-up. I only have 2 eyeshadows, one thing of mascara and 2 lipsticks. Its ridiculous.

I'd go right for it on the makeup front, a few years ago I just realised... I was wearing the wrong makeup, so I cleaned out what I had and I went for some basics to make a really polished look. For me, makeup every day is concealer, powder, eyebrow pencil (for my stupidly pale eyebrows), eyeliner (pencil for planning, liquid for finish), at least two shades of eyeshadow (to create a more natural-looking blend and to emphasise my bone structure) and mascara. I recently started wearing really bright red lipstick, too (because of my growing obsession with pinup) - it doesn't take me that long really, and I think that it's worth the effort, it's a definite confidence boost.
I'd really recommend buying some good-quality eyeshadow brushes though, even if your powder isn't expensive it makes it that much easier to apply, and it'll stay on for a lot longer. It's a good investment in my opinion.
