The trail up the mountain is quite long, and may take a day or two to safely get up it via dirt path. So along the way, the Dwarves had grasciously set up rest area's a while back for travelers and merchants. There are about three, all of them are different in size and there are about three of them.
*The first one is only a little ways up the path, usualy used at night if people arrive late. It's got a rock ring for fires and cooking meat. It's still a little small, but thats to be expected since it's the least used.
*The second one is halfway up the mountain and has a rock ring as well, but larger. It's got log benches and since it's halfway up and the most used, animals generaly come sniffing about for food. Part of it looks out onto the rest of the mountain, partialy on a cliff ,so watch your step.
*The last one is the secondmost used, but still fairly rare since most just go all the way at this point. It's got a rock ring for fires, but most tree's have not been cleared away. There's also a dirt path leading to a hunting area from this rest area.

Ellie breathed tightly as she parted her lips, sucking in air and breathing it back out as she saw it in front of her. She really rarely ever left the forest, finding little to none of a reason why she would want to leave her great tree god. Besides the weather was so perfect out there, she really just loved to play there all day with the younger elfs and well...frolick. But, she had been told by her mother that they were running out of offerings to give the nature spirit, and what spirits these days liked were money offerings. So she had been sent here to get into the mountains and try to get some expensive jewels. But none of this was making sence to Ellie at all, considering when she was little, her father told her that the nature spirit was so pure that it didn't like to be touched with unholy devilish things like money. Her father had passed away, so she could not question the motives that belonged to her mother, and she was usually a fairly obdient girl when it came to her mother, so she didn't think about that as she continued up the moutain. She was slightly lost, but she knew that she was on the second resting area, and since she had gotten there that morning and now it was almost nightfall, she defintely decided to take a rest there. The girl was freezing, but found it slightly alright, since she dressed as much as she thought she could -- she really hated many layers of clothing. Her fair, tanned shoulders gave away that was the sorce of her cold though, seeing as her fabric around her upper body was cut at odd angels, and covered her arms graciously. Besides that she wore a long brown skirt that covered up her ankels when she walked, and she frowned as she glanced down to her feet that were covered with shoes. It was rare that she would use this much clothing, and as she put a strand of hair behind her ear, she realized she even was ristricted from the normal flowers that were intertwined in them. Sighing once more, she got over this though, reamining postive at the warm fire that lay in front of her from some stranger who left a few minutes ago. She curled up her body lightly on a log, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the warmth.

Kale was traveling to Iron-Pride to fetch something for Verrwung. Not Verrwung himself, but one of his higher ups. He was to venture to some odd shop and pick something up, he wasn't told specifically what it was but that it was important. Unfortunately, Kale had a late Start and wouldn't be able to make it to the top in time, so he had made a fire at the second rest area. He had recently left it to find some more wood to last the coming nightfall. He was glad that he was sent on this assignment alone, usually someone was sent with him. It made him feeling like they thought he was incompetent. Most of the time he got stuck with someone who liked to talk, which wasn't one of Kale's strengths.
Now, with a large bundle of sticks in his arms he approached the campsite to find...someone else enjoying his fire. ' What's she doing here?', he immediately thought. She looked like she was asleep, maybe he could slink away, he didn't want to bother her.

Ellie was almost falling asleep, but she wasn't too tired yet, and had trained her body with the help of the Great Tree friends to not sleep unless completly safe. She basically had a back up energy source built inside her own body to keep her from passing out, and she could use it at any time when her normal body was threatning to pass out. But as said before, the female wasn't tired. That being said her eyes opened when she heard snow crunch lightly and turned over slightly, her eyes focusing on a young male, with more firewood in his hands. Oh right! Of course there wouldn't be someone to build a fire and then suddenly leave...she should have caught onto that. She stood up though, immdately rising to her feet, and heading over to him to apologize. "Hey, I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to intrude-..." she had started till she caught up with how gorgeous this guy in front of her was! "Kyaaaa! Your so good-looking!" Ellie squeeked, obviously not good at containing herself. She exaimined him in a circle slightly, and couldn't help but wrap her arms around his stomach, giving him a quick squeeze. She really wouldn't do that too much more if it was proven that he wasn't into the whole hug thing, or the touching thing. Because even though she was a bit loud for an elf at times, she was honest, and just wanted to keep people happy. She backed up from him though, bowing her head lightly, "Sorry, I just haven't been out for a while, and it's good to see another person, I sort of worried that I'd be all desolated and alone..." she added with a sigh and a smile. "My name's Ellie." she added kindly.

Kale clenched him toes when he saw that the girl was not, in fact asleep. "Thats well.." He said, not being able to come up with a sentence. He felt he should turn away and try to escape, but she was already upon him. " I-I'm Wuh-What?" What was she doing? Why was she ...inspecting him for? "Guh." He squeaked when she gave him a squeeze, what did she do that for? As a result, he dropped the wood he had just collected. When she finally backed up, he could move and breathe again. "I see, thuh-thats too bad." He responded, like a wide eyed deer. He began collecting his fallen lumber, which made it easier to introduce himself since he didn't have to look at her. " My name is K-Kale" He stuttered.

Ellie blinked lightly, soft surprise back on her face as she looked over at him, ah had she just scared the poor guy? She smiled though when she heard his name, she thought that it suited him perfectly some how. "Kale, don't be afraid of me please? I don't bite or anything, in fact I'd like to think I'm pretty friendly..." she said lightly as she trailed off in her thoughts, as if thinking back to another time and wondering if she had in fact be kind. The issue here was that she was very well being too kind, and this lead to her slight 'pushy factor' that she gave off sometimes. That was what one of her friends told her one time back when they were living at the forest, ah she really wanted to go back there though, it was complete tortue to be away from the Great Tree as long as she was already. Her body just felt completly uncompatiable and broken without something reliable to be around, not to mention this wasn't really her kind of element. But Ellie didn't complain, she refused to just sit around all day and complain, she had work to do pretty much. She picked up a last peice of wood, grinning up at him in her friendly ways, as she stood up slowly with him and handed him the last peice. "I didn't mean to steal your fire, but would it be alright if we both used it tonight? I could go up higher or lower, but it'd be dark by the time I did so, and I really like to be around people, plus I feel the need to sleep with people..." she said as she glanced over at him. Ah...she probably shouldn't have said that, but she really did hate sleeping alone since she was a kid. She'd usually end up sleeping with her father, who'd cradel her till she fell into a slumber in his warm, generous arms. The only place where she could be alone at, she felt like she was the most enjoyed at and that was when she occosionally would sleep right next to the Great Tree, usually on nights with a full moon. She always slept the best those nights. Going back to present time though, she sat down on a log and looked up to him, "Want me to look for some berries to eat? I've still got a few in here..." she said softly rummaging through a pocket and pulling out tasty looking blueberries. Never a meat eater was she.

Chiharu glanced back at her sister for a moment before spurring ahead herself. She hadn't fed in 3 months and it was about time she had some warm liquid down her throat. Chiharu glanced back and forth her face bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight revealed cold eyes. snow-white skin and raven black hair. Chiharu smirked spotting a sleeping deer she quickly made do with it and killed it. Piercing the still pulsing neck with her fangs she drank. She felt her body revive itself and shake of the cold as she waited for Shao to catch up.
Shao caught up with Chiharu easily enough. Something about this forest made her irritated. "Chiharu you shouldn't be so blantant about killing for blood. I sense something else here. A bunch of something elses, humans." She warned her sister before dranking the deer's blood. Chiharu had already started to strip down the deer and cut out the meat to preserve it. Chiharu just huffed at the younger sister's advice and continued what she was doing.

Velve d'Ulnen slowly raised his head and looked up the path before him with dead eyes. For many years now, Velve has been blind since an injury acquired through one of his many missions. For his loyal service to Verrwung, he had been rewarded a different kind of sight, echo location, much like a bat but went much further and returned with much more detail. As he snapped his fingers to produce a sound, the world around him lit up with a black and white image. The scenery around him came alive as the sound waves of his snapped passed and the image remained in his mind a minute before having to snap once more. Using this sight, Velve slowly progressed up the pathway toward the city at the other end. He stopped briefly at the first stop to gain a sense of his location. He snapped and waited much longer than usual, about 3 minutes, for the sound to return to him and for the image around him to form in his mind. He then travelled on.

Chiharu stiffened motioning for her sister to do the same. There was something different in this forest tonight. Another, with a particular method of travelling to be sure. She could hear, however, only faintly. This sound, this frequency was close to those of whales and bats, the pitch was quite high so she could only faintly make out where it was coming from. She motioned to Shao, it was time to have some fun.
Shao heard it too the freuqency was close to the one of the bells on the ankles. Shao weaved through the trees towards the sound. This was always the fun part of exploring the night with Chiharu the adrenaline rush of racing her. Shao wasn't lacking in anything compared to her sister, both had a unique beauty and an every uniquer fighting style. She smiled it was time for some fun.

Oblivious to the incoming threat, or threats as it were, Velve continued to travel in his usual manner. The light chill of the night wrapped around him in a cool embrace. Unknown to him, it was in fact night, the only thing that cued him to it was the chill. After snapping once more to release a sound, he noticed the image that would appear in his mind would not fade in a particular area. There was some sort of dominate sound or source of vibration somewhere within that area or beyond it that captured his attention. Velve reached for his back to grab his daggers, taking initiative to a possible threat.

Shao grinned once more she had beat Chiharu to the source of their intrest. Shao jumped and flipped over the inquiring man and landed safetly close behind him, close enough to feel the heat of his body. Shao beared her fangs and lightly grazed the man's neck. "What was it that you were just doing? That sound, the vibrations they come back to you don't they? Why? What does it do?" She asked genuiely curious placing a kiss on his cheek before moving around him to face the front of him.
Chiharu approached the man, "What are you doing here? What is your purpose? Chiharu asked suspiciously not liking the way Shao was fluttering around him like a child with a new toy.

Velve turned as the figures approached, one after the other. The expression on his face remained the same as he reached for one of the two daggers at his back as the first figure approached. He remained stable as the first figure moved around him, seeming to ignore her questions as he was too focused on a plan of attack, or defence in this situation. As the second figure approached, he actually listened to the questions asked and responded accordingly. "My purpose is with Verrwung and him alone." Velve begun. "Now, I'd suggest you continue as you were before my tolerance wanes." Velve ended before progressing forward. With both figures now there, he could clearly "see" them. Every movement, every breath, everything. Everything they could do generated noise or vibrations, which made his sight.

Shao was quite taken back at the tone that the stranger used. Sure she didn't know him but that was no reason to be a jerk. Shao was about to interrogate him on what gave him the nerve to talk to her like that when Chiharu intervened.
"Shao he's not worth the time." Chiharu turned and walked away.
Shao seeing her sister walking away she was still frustrated but saw the wisdom in Chiharu's words so she too left this rude stranger alone.
