I like it

I have seen Mary Poppins ( It was amusing and very different from the movie. If you compare it to the movie you will not enjoy it. The new songs were good but some are cheesey The kids were very good. I give it a 3.8 out of 5)

Beauty and the Beast (A good movie and a good play. It is very much like the movie with new songs. Too bad it is done. I would really reccomend it if it were still playing. 4.6 out of 5)

Lion King ( AMAZING Taymor did a great job adapting the movie. Great mix of Human and puppet 5 out of 5)

I might be going to see Lion King in summer 2008, when I go to new york, but, other then that, never seen one. I barely missed seeing lion King when it was in Toronto, thus why i have yet to see it.

Mary Poppins- In my opinion, the best play I have every seen, and I have seen quite a few. I am actually surprised at how much I loved it, as I have seen so many good plays, from "Wicked" to "Jekyll & Hyde," but it just seemed to really appeal to me. I loved the songs, the special effects (including the moving house and Poppins flying) were wonderful, the characters were amazingly fun, and they finally made Poppins and Bert a, more or less, official pair in this show. I also enjoyed how they used elements from all of the first three "Mary Poppins" books and Mrs. Andrews, the evil nanny, is quite amusing. Her song, "Brimstone and Treacle" is one of my favorite. I actually stood outside for three hours to get all of their autographs, much longer than I hate to wait for any of the other plays. I give it a 10 out 10.

Tarzan- A great play, especially for children. The songs were well-written, the story decent, and the special effects rather spectacular, particularly how the apes would sing around the stage with rope-vines. I give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Beauty and the Beast- A very beautiful play, this was one of my favorites for a long time. The songs are very beautiful, especially when you can be lucky enough to get the main singers, and the story is as good as the movie. If any of you wished to see this play and missed out, there is a shorter version of it that can be seen in MGM Studios that is rather good. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Lion King- I loved this play, but it is probably my least favorite of the Disney Broadways. The songs were wonderful and the puppets magnificent, but it just never really went through-the-roof with me. I give it a 6 out of 10.

In the end, all I can say is that I am greatly looking forward to the "Little Mermaid" on Broadway, which is scheduled to open on December 6, 2007. I already purchased advanced tickets, I certainly hope it will live up to the usual Disney skill.

Hi there! Glad you joined us! Yeah, the plays do look really good. I actually voted on something different when my group voted on what play to go see for our trip, but now I'm pretty excited about seeing "The Lion King." It'll be an experience, at least!

Well, this wasn't a Broadway play, but I still think it's pretty cool - My high school recently had their play, and they did "High School Musical!" I wasn't in it because school keeps me too busy... lol They originally had only three shows planned, and ended up adding three more because everything was selling out so fast! It came out great and it was really fun to watch, especially when they ran through the audience at the beginning and end of the play. biggrin
