Up until today, living here, our entire lives have been controlled by the base. The military corps walks up and down the halls, screaming "There's only one way out; Drop your lives here, pick up our guns! Fight for us, and we'll give you money."

Now it's time for a gut- check of what we believe, to stand up for Democracy. I'm going to start a project do get the military out of my school. I'm tired of watching my friends go overseas and die, just so they can buy new 50- caliber toys.

Starting today, I'm going to gather together several friends of mine. We're going to put up posters, and speak out. We will post fliers on the recruiters office, Depleted Uranium, the war; every day, when you walk into that office, the rhetoric is going to fall loose before you step in the door. And ironically, in a place where teen rape and pregnancy is at it's highest, one day every year is a pro- life, anti abortion day. Once a year, on that time a year, duct tape will cover our mouths, but on them it will say 'pro- choice'.

So, I'm asking you guys: any help you can give. Reading material, methods to reach the public, ways to bypass school security to place the fliers, any help is welcome. It's time for us to sit back and listen to the right wing rhetoric, no longer.

Anyone who can help, it will be greatly appreciate. Among the issues are ways for me to gather members, get information out, stop military recruitment, bypass detection, anything. If any help is given, me and everyone else at our school will owe you greatly.

Sound's like an awesome plan man.
I could try helping by finding some information, but I don't know if I'll find anything worth our time...
We'll see.
Good luck man.

If you have a lot of ink and paper and a good printer, go to zinelibrary.net or get stuff from crimethinc to print off, they have reall good posters to download too. Make up your own. Include lots of facts, If the school tries to stop you, have some laws memorized, the ones that allow equal representation o ideas at school and freedom of speech and dictate them to the school officials.

EDIT: Btw, nice inserting of the Anti-Flag lyric.

Thanks.

Right now I'm mostly working on the people I'll need; I already have a writer (myself), so I'm working on getting an artist, and a few other people to make distributing them simpler.

Another things is I've gotten a copy of the school map, and I've gone about marking all of the visible cameras I can find, just in case I won't be able to do it out in the open. All I need is an artist, and I've got myself a network.

A good way to get posters up if you can't do it legally is wheat-pasting. You just make a paste out of heated flour and water, and use a roller or a paintbrush to stick flyers and posters up. (Check out the wiki article for more info)

Or if you can get your hands on some good-quality spray-adhesive, that's always useful, too.

Stencils and spraypaint are also always useful.

Hmm, spray adhesive... Do you suppose I could acquire some from a home depot, or some other kind of department store?

And thanks for the info.

home depot or micheals or something should have spray adhesive, 3m super 77 being the strongest I think, but I wouldn't count on that holding it to a wall for very long, especially if someone wants to take them off.

wheatpaste on the other hand, won't come off even if you want it to.

this site is useful for blowing up posters

True that.
You know how when you pull some stickers off of things it leaves behind that annoying paper stuff that didn't get pulled off?
Well, that's what will be left behind if you try pulling that s**t off a wall, and I'm pretty sure I'd rather see some poster than that nasty paper s**t.

And yeah, the thread I got started about adhesive should help out on how to make it if you're too lazy to go looking for how to do it.

Another poster defense mechanism is running a razor in a grid like fashion over the entirety of the hung poster. That way it only peels off in little pieces instead of a few easy pulls or scrapes.

Alright, thanks for the info.

Mostly my aim is just to get the posters up, as I know they'll be removed pretty soon (the other day a friend of mine made a graffiti raid on the school, and it was removed before the end of 1st period), but I'll keep some of these things in mind. It'll help solve the problem of them being taken down before anyone can see them, especially in public places.

Once again, thanks for the help guys.
