Note: Like the title says, this is yet another Private RP between myself and Iia / Remedi. Post and die. l3 .. Okay, not really. But seriously - don't post.
When We Were Young A [Blast to the Past] Suigetsu & Karin RP
---
 {Art by mel-mel.}
---
Years ago, in the Narutoverse..
Before Team 7 was formed..
Before Sasuke and Naruto became best friends..
Before Sakura confessed her love..
Before Sasuke betrayed Konoha by leaving the village to join the ranks of the villains..
Before everything you've seen in the series minus certain flashbacks..
There was the meeting of Suigetsu and Karin, when they were merely kids. Eleven-year-olds, to be exact. They start out hating each other, and actually keep on hating each other. Will they be able to put aside their first impressions and befriend each other in the hell known as Michael Jackson's Orochimaru's hideout?
Only time will tell.
---
[That was cheesy as hell but I don't care. And P.S. - this role-play is a continuation of Iia's lovely SuiKa fic entitled "Eleven." You can read it here: Eleven]

Rules
+ The one and only rule is thay only Iia and I may post here. + Then there's also the obvious rule.. FOLLOW THE T.O.S. >> + All other rules are already known by us, but there's no need in posting them because, well.. we already know them.
Characters
Karin played by Remedi Suigetsu played by Kairi.nin Juugo played by Remedi Orochimaru played by Kairi.nin Kabuto played by Remedi Uchiha Sasuke played by Kairi.nin
Other Stuff
// With our luck every bit of this will soon be proven to be WRONG not long after we've started role-playing, but whatever. x3
// There will probably be child abuse in here somewhere. D: Sorry in advance to those of you who might feel uncomfortable reading it.
// Since we're starting off with Suigetsu and Karin as eleven-year-olds, and we assume they're about two years older than Sasuke, our favorite Uchiha won't come into the story until we're a little over three years into the role-play.
// A lot of this will be based off speculation. We don't know how, when, or where Suigetsu and Karin met, so don't think of this role-play as canon, please. xD
// SitG is NOT being abandoned. Don't worry. xD We'll continue it eventually.

About a week had passed since that incident.
Karin hadn't heard from or about that boy since, and she truely hadn't spent much time thinking on it. The boy came, and went, and as to where he was now was none of her business. Despite her young age, she had a job to do. Orochimaru already had her doing simple things, like giving people injections. The snake-like man was constantly feeding her ego: Oh, what a smart girl she was, and Ah! she already knew the majority of the chemicals and poisons in the lab, and how WONDERFUL it was that dear Karin was bringing good to the world by giving these live experiments the dosage.
What older people would identify as brainwashing had worked.
She was treated well (well, better than the trashed alleys whereas she came from), and her loyalty for the Sound was building.
Euphoria.
So of course she wouldn't dwell on one boy. Che, by the way Kabuto was treating him, he had probably been experimented on and dead by now. After all, death in this place was a common occurance, and hey: If you weren't strong enough to live by Orochimaru-sama's conditions...well...see you on the other side.
Karin's living quarters. It wasn't very big. It was a square room, with a bed big enough for an adult, dressed in thin white bedsheets and a feather pillow (Lucky, lucky!). There was no color, only the stone walls and floor. No windows, the door was solid metal. There was a hanging light, and a lamp on the small wooden desk. A chair was at the desk as well. Showering and toiletries were across the hall.
The only thing left were the books. TONS of books, from science texts, to fairytales, to Atlases and poetry and old history. The desk was piled, and all along the back wall were stacks of them.
Karin loved to read, and as it was so, we find her sitting on the bed, back against the wall. In her hand, Tom Sawyer, lensed eyes cooly reading line by line.

With a dull look in his eyes Suigetsu boredly picked at some dry blood that was caked onto his knuckles. Not too long ago he had beat on the metal door to his living quarters until they bled, and bloody bruised knuckles had been the result. No one had come to see what was wrong, or told him to stop making so much noise. He had even yelled, and demanded that they let him go, but to no avail.
He sighed and dropped his hands into his lap. Lifting his head, he proceeded to look around his tiny little room. It was so dark and cold, and obviously the thin piece of cloth these idiots called a 'blanket' provided him with hardly any warmth at all. He was better off curling into a tight ball on some nights. The pillow was a sad excuse for a comforting item as well.
The little boy drew his knees up and hugged them close to his chest, his eyes set firmly in a glare as he stared at the wall across from him. The wall was bare, and so there was obviously nothing to stare at, save for a few cracks and a little spider. He could hardly see said spider, though, seeing as how the light that hung from the ceiling was as dull as it could possibly be without being burnt out.
Suigetsu missed his village.. he hated this place. Hated it and everyone in it. He wasn't even allowed to kill anyone! How insane was that? And even though he normally wasn't one to necessarily appreciate comfort from others, he absolutely hated the fact that he had no friends, or anyone to even talk to in that place. He missed the people he hung around with in the Village Hidden in the Mist.. and at least there he had a home; a home with a soft bed, REAL sheets, and a fluffy pillow. And while he had no parents, he at least had somewhat of a father figure back there.
But now he had no one. Nothing.
In the Mist Village he was respected and feared thanks to his remarkable killing abilities. But here? He was treated like dirt. Some kid younger than him even spat on him a couple of days ago. Naturally Suigetsu broke his nose after he had done so and been sent straight to his room with no food for the night, but still! What gave that kid the idea he could do something like that in the first place?
And those people in that room.. always sticking him with needles and doing whatever it was that they were doing.. They made him feel like an animal, even though he was clueless as to what their purpose was.
Then there was that girl.. the evil witch who had done nothing when he had first been brought there.. done nothing but watch him be abused by someone who should pay dearly for ever laying a hand on him. How could she have just STOOD there? Why did she just stand there? Did she want to see him get his butt kicked?
"Keh."
She wasn't worth thinking about.
Suigetsu changed positions and lay down across his bed, resting his head on the pitiful excuse of a pillow and waiting to receive a knock on his door signaling that it was time to eat.
Not that he was excited about eating slop, but he was starving.

Karin was well into the adventures of her book when there was a knock on the door.
Her head slowly looked up from the book, eyes glancing towards the door. Her internal clock had gotten used to no windows, no clock, and no idea of the time of day.
It was time for food.
The redhead shut the book, making a thump! sound, and crawled off of the bed. She placed the book on one of her numerous stacks and after pushing a few strands of hair behind her ears, she opened the door. (Her door, of course, was unlocked at all times. Being a pet gave such privledges.)
The Mess Hall. It was actually pretty clean. It was set up like a small cafeteria, with long tables and multiple chairs, and two food lines. One was for the prisoners. They were generally fed slop, and if they were lucky, leftovers from the other line. Said "other line" was the VIP line...or at least that's what Karin called it.
The VIP line was for those whom Orochimaru had favored in the lair. The food was good. (It wasn't super, of course, but for Karin, who had before been living off of garbage, stolen food, and SNOW, it was pretty damn edible.)
Upon entering the cafeteria and gathering her plate of food (pork stew with noodles), she took her plate and sat at the end of a table, away from everyone else.
It wasn't something Karin focused on, but ever since coming here, she hadn't made friends. Not that it mattered; Karin rathered focusing on other, more important matters, and she enjoyed eating quietly anyway.

Suigetsu was almost asleep when a knock sounded on his door. He opened his eyes and slowly sat up, listening to the sound of the door being unlocked on the other side. During one day he heard that sound five times.
The first time for the morning supply of slop.
The second time for his daily dose of needles.
The third time for the afternoon supply of slop.
The fourth time for hygiene purposes, where he would use the filthy facilities that were located across the hall from his room.
And the fifth time for the nightly supply of slop.
This was the third time he had heard the sound that day.
He crawled off his bed and practically dragged himself to the door. It was true he was hungry, but why rush to eat something that probably tastes worse than your own --
"If you don't hurry up and get out here, you're not getting anything!"
.. Well, that was one reason to rush. Prisoners like Suigetsu had to be escorted to the cafeteria because they couldn't be trusted by themselves. Orochimaru must have been afraid they would run away or something.. and what Suigetsu wouldn't give to actually be able to..
He grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door open. Not even a second had passed before his escort grabbed the front of his shirt and roughly pulled him out into the hallway. Suigetsu stumbled a bit, but was able to keep his balance. He glared at the man who only rolled his eyes in reply.
There were other prisoners standing around, and not a one of them looked thrilled when the former Mist ninja met their eyes. It seemed as though they were upset at having to wait on his slow self as well.
When they started to move, Suigetsu stared at the floor.
The Mess Hall was loud, like always.
Suigetsu grabbed a plate from the stack at the end of the line and waited to receive his slop. A few guys cut in front of him, but it didn't bother him. He was used to it by now. And even the lunch man.. lady.. (Suigetsu couldn't tell the difference).. treated him horribly. He/she/it slammed his pile of slop onto his plate as hard as he/she/it could, causing a few drops of the stuff to cling to his face.
He walked away from the line and looked for somewhere to sit, using one hand to wipe the drops of slop from his face. There were a few seats empty around different groups, but the last time Suigetsu had tried sitting there.. things hadn't gone so well. He normally sat by himself, but most places seemed full that day..
His purple eyes fell on a particular red-headed female, and he frowned.
Had she always eaten in there? This was his first time seeing her.. not that he'd been looking for her.
With a 'hmph' he made his way over to where she was sitting and sat down across from her. At first he didn't say anything, but before she had a chance to, he gave the girl a wicked grin that showed off his pointed teeth quite well. "Remember me?"
Remember the boy you merely watched and did nothing to help?

Karin had been picking at her food. She ate slowly, knowing that she only got three meals a day (snacks when she was lucky). She liked to savor the meal she had. It provided her energy, and she needed it when training and learning. After all, eating it in a few bites was nothing but a waste.
She had just taken a small bite of meat when the boy had sat down. Her ruby eyes widened for a second before narrowing to an irritated glare. Her frown added to her dislike.
Remembered him? Tch. Of course she did. She remembered most of the faces she saw around. She remembered his loud and annoying voice, and she remembered Kabuto's foot in his face. She remembered the sharp teeth, and all that jazz too. She remembered afterwards...
And so? What gave him the right to sit with her? There were other seats. He could take his filthy meal and his filty self somewhere else! Ugh, just the SIGHT of that slop made her appetite turn and run! Jerk! Didn't he see she was trying to eat? Alone? PEACEFULLY?!
Idiot prisoners! She had only met him twice (she never recalled seeing him in the mess hall, though she never paid attention to any others), and TWICE he was annoying her.
"Unfortunately so," she frowned. "You're that kid from last week....Sui-er..something, was it? Whatever. What do you want, I'm trying to eat lunch."

"Sui-er" was better than her not remembering his name at all. He was simply honored.
"I don't want anything, 'specially not from you," he answered with a sneer. But this was a lie, sort of. He did want her to know how much he currently hated her for what she had done. And what better way to show her than to annoy her? .. Well, he could always tell her straight out, but that would have been boring.
Suigetsu narrowed his eyes and scanned her face, noting her chubby cheeks and glasses. She looked like a.. smart person. A geek. A nerd. During the short time he had actually attended school (three days), he had always picked on people like her. He'd even killed one for calling him an 'ignorant simpleton.' Suigetsu had NO idea what those two words meant, but somehow he knew that kid had insulted him.
.. Needless to say that was the reason he hadn't stayed in school for very long.
But who cares? Who needs school? Fighting and killing were more important. Tests, homework, books.. all of that was useless in his mind.
"So what's your name, Red?" He was curious, and he wasn't planning on moving anytime soon.

Oh. He didn't want anything? Karin's grip on her fork tightened as she became frustrated.
What a waste of TIME.
But Karin always tried to keep her cool, and she focused on doing just that.
When she felt his gaze on her, she didn't react one bit. She simply took a bite of her lunch, and closed her own eyes, savoring the food rather than making her content day ruined by this brat.
She continued to chew on her food after her question, not bothering to rush herself for his sake. The term "Red" wasn't a desirable nickname in the least, however, so instead of ignoring him completely, she opened one eye after swallowing and scoffed.
"Karin," she stated before closing her eyes again.
"If you don't want anything, then go away. There are other places to sit, right? That trash in your plate is making me sick."

Karin.
He didn't have much to say about it. It wasn't anything special, and it wasn't stupid enough to tease her about. He deflated a little at realizing that.
Suigetsu glanced down at his plate of slop. It almost looked as though it were breathing, although there was a very good chance he was imagining things. Being cooped up in a small dark room all day usually made people see things.
He poked at the disgusting looking blob with his fork. When he was starving like he currently was, he could usually force himself to eat at least half of the slop, but it seemed even more nasty that day than it had any other day.
Cautiously he scooped a mouthful of the golden brown mush onto his fork and held it up to his mouth. He sniffed it.
It even smelled worse than usual.
He set the fork down on his plate. "At least you don't have to eat it," he commented after looking at her own plate, and shifting his gaze back up to her face. "And why do I have to be the one to move? Why can't you?"

Karin opened her eyes and watched as the boy picked up a forkful of slop only to set it back down.
She didn't blame him for it. The sight was hideous, and it smelled ten times worse. Karin sighed. That in her face was going to make her sick.
Now that...that stuff...was put in front of her, she was suddenly ten times more grateful for her own meal. Her's smelled like decent food, tasted good, and she had a better portion.
But now...thanks to that junk, she probably couldn't stomach all of it.
Seriously. That plate of crap was going to give her nightmares.
After he spoke, she glanced from his plate to his eyes. They were purple, an interesting color. It was rare to see someone with such a color.
Then again, red was pretty rare, too, huh?
She was going to tell him off before, but his plate of food....Karin shuddered. It was bothering her. A lot.
"Because I'm better than you, that's why. But....ugh...here's a deal. Go throw that plate of utterly disgusting...slop...away, and I'll let you sit here, and I'll even give you some of my food. Just...ew. Get that junk out of my face."

He blinked.
"Utterly disgusting.." he thought to himself, repeating her words in his mind. 'Disgusting' was a word he had heard plenty of times before, so he knew what it meant, but.. 'utterly'?
"Uh, okay."
But where did she get off thinking she was BETTER than him? Judging by her food she was one of those brats that got special treatment, but that didn't mean she was better than him.
However, there was nowhere else for him to sit, unless he wanted to get beaten to a bloody pulp by guys ten times bigger than him, so he had no other choice than to throw the slop away. (Well, he DID have a choice, because Karin couldn't really make him move, but her nagging was too annoying to listen to for a long time.) He wasn't planning on eating any of it, anyway, so it didn't really matter.
He stood up and grabbed his plate.
Innocently and minding his own business he made his way to the group of garbage cans, but out of nowhere a boy that looked to be sixteen or seventeen shoved past him on his way to throw his own food away. Suigetsu glared at the boy's back. "Hey! Watch where you're going!"
Bad move.
The next thing he knew, a fist was being sent in his direction, and suddenly he was laying on the floor, the ceiling spinning above him.

Karin's eyes lazily followed the boy's movements. She giggled when the older boy pushed past him. What a dunce.
When the boy punched him, the laughing stopped.
Karin made a move to get up, but others that were on Orochimaru's good side had taken hold of the older boy in an instant. She watched as he was violently escorted out.
No doubt he'd face some kind of punishment.
After the uproar was calmed, and it seemed that Suigetsu wasn't going to get up, Karin strode across the room to where he lay.
Crossing her arms, she leaned over his figure, and tilted her head. Her face was set in a smirk, but one couldn't miss the irritation in her eyes. What made it right for that guy to hit him? He was just as low and imprisoned! All it did was cause an uproar, and she liked her peace and quiet!
Luckily Suigetsu's plate of food had flew a ways away. It was being cleaned by two other people she didn't know.
"Hey..." she said, nudging the boy with her foot. "You got hit pretty hard. You okay? Get up."

Suigetsu blinked, and blinked again, but the ceiling continued to spin above him. Then someone appeared out of the corner of his eye, but he couldn't make out just who it was at first. All he saw was a spinning red blob.
The voice couldn't be mistaken, though.
"Mmfine."
He closed his eyes and set one palm flat on the floor to push himself up. He grimaced when he felt pain course through his head. The guy had punched him.. somewhere.. on his face.. head.. eye? He lifted one hand to his right eye to lightly touch it with his index and middle fingers. And sure enough, he felt pain.
So he forced his right eye closed and glanced at Karin, then around the room from his spot on the floor.
Everyone had seen that.. everyone had seen him get punched once and fall to the ground.
He actually felt like.. crying.
With his head hanging low, Suigetsu stood up, albeit a little wobbly, and made his way toward the cafeteria's exit. One of the escorts saw him leaving and quickly followed after him.

Karin frowned. It was obvious that the older boy socked Suigetsu (she suddenly remembered the name) in the eye. Already the area was red and swelling, and Karin was 200 percent sure that in the next day or two the kid would have a black eye.
She watched as he slowly got up. She would have offered help, but he seem to be bothered, and since he was helping himself, so be it.
If the stupid boy would have kept his mouth shut, he wouldn't be in pain.
She watches as he left, and the escort followed him.
What the heck?!
He just LEFT! His EYE could be seriously injured!
What an idiot.
Karin walked back to her table and scoffed. In the commotion, the rest of her food had been stolen. Not a single scrap was left for her to eat. Karin didn't react much. After watching someone her age just get owned by some older guy, she didn't think it best to start yelling at everyone for stealing her food.
She decided, moreover, to leave herself.
However, moments later she found herself following Suigetsu and the escort, though far enough to stay unseen.
