Sooooooo, what comics do you suggest for people to read? Your favorites? Title's you think they'd like? Famous works that you know people will like regardless of their tastes (most of the time)?
One of my history professors, Dr. Adilssen, randomly asked if anyone read comics and I raised my hand and after class he asked how often I read comics and I told him "Quite often," and then he inquired if I knew about a Superman title where Supes is communist. I'm bringing my copy of Superman: Red Son to class after I post this. xd

I'm usually very uncreative in my approach with comic conversions by lending everyone Watchmen. If it works well, why change the strategy?

I personally think that Runaways and Invincible are good introductory comics.

Queen of Faeries I personally think that Runaways and Invincible are good introductory comics. Runaways works good too! I got two roommates hooked on it, but they didn't want to branch into anything else. gonk

Aargh, I've been meaning to read Casanova too. gonk Too many titles in need of tracking down.
As for infecting others with comicness, I usually try to find something concurrent with the person's interests, but otherwise good general titles to spring on people are: Hellboy The Goon Ex Machina Fables

Oh man, The Goon is fantastic. I'm behind on a few issues, which is criminal; things have gotten terribly dramatic since "Chinatown and the Mystery of Mr. Wicker," which fills us in on some Goon backstory. Powell's finally rolling out some hardcore srs bsness plot. And Chinatown has this incredibly powerful mood-change over the course of a few pages... guh, it's so ******** sad yet awesome. ;___;
