I felt it was necessary. Even though it's almost gone. crying
Anyone dress up? I passed. I love dressing up, but the idea of being stuck in costume for 12+ hours was not appealing.

I was going to dress up, but I woke up late yesterday, and completely forgot! gonk Oh well, I did dress up on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Also, I will be wearing a Guy Fawkes mask (like in V For Vendetta) next Monday...Remember, remember the fifth of November...

You did not dress up as a pirate! whee Awesome. I was going to wear all my skull paraphernalia, but I forgot.
What is Guy Fawkes day anyway? I can't remember?
I never saw that movie, was it good?
(I really want to know why my sig works on my profile and in the forums, but not in guilds. It's weird. And frustrating.)

I only saw two or three other celebrating that fine hollidy! xp Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament and kill the king of England on November 5, 1605. I can't remember why he wanted to do that, but he was caught and executed. V For Vendetta is one of my favorite movies of all time! I highly recommend it!

phlipp You don't like Halloween?! eek Precisely. I suppose it's fun when you're young enough to go trick-or-treating, but after that, what is there to do?

That's what I like to do anyway....

The candy comes second for me. 3nodding Oh, and I got V for Vendetta, so I shall watch it now! (well, probably not now exactly, but soon. mrgreen )

(well, probably not now exactly, but soon. mrgreen ) I only do that to older kids, not the really young ones, THAT would be mean...plus, their parents, who are usually with them, would surely kill me. I didn't even get to do it this year though. I had my dad bring me a haz-mat suit from work (which looked spectacular with my creepy old murderous hobo mask), but we only got a few kids at our house this year and I wasn't really even there when they came...how sad... My sister rented Van Helsing earlier today...it was...entertaining...It was definitely a B-Movie, but it was decent.

Poor Ulfin. xd
Where in the world does your dad work? Haz-mat suit?
On another note, I watched V for Vendetta. It was flippin' awesome! I want to start it over again right now, but I've been fighting sleep for the last three hours, so I think I'll go to bed instead. sweatdrop But I do think that if I saw you in a Fawkes mask at school on November the fifth, I might just run the other way screaming. Either that or ask if you had a spare I could use. mrgreen
Are you really going to wear one to school? I should applaud you if you do so.
And now, phlipp is going to go to sleep and wake up NOT sick...she hopes...
EDIT: Oh, I hated Van Hellsing! Ever read the Hellsing manga? It's pretty good, it starts getting really gross though, so I haven't read more than four volumes or so. But, for some reason, my friend and I thought they would be somewhat similar (due to the name) and so we thought it would be awesome. We went and saw it in the theatre and after it was over we felt tempted to go buy some popcorn, come back, and proceed to throw popcorn at the screen. I've watched it again since then and it didn't bother me quite as much, but, seriously, the face in the clouds? *groans in pain* (I think my expectations were just too high, seriously, read volume one of Hellsing, and you'd understand.)

My dad works in some factory thing, but he works in the chemical process division of it. I've never read Hellsing, so it wasn't ruined for me in that aspect. I am a big fan of the old Universal horror movies from the 1930s and 40s, and I knew that it was supposed to incorporate a lot of the same characters, so I thought it would be a fun movie. Van Hellsing was originally an old schollarly dude in Dracula. Through the years, his character evolved into a bad-a** vampire slayer. Wierd. Van Hellsing was very cheesy, but it did have a lot of scenes or lines that were reminiscant of some of the old movies, so that gave the movie some points. I would most certainly have to agree with you about the end though!!! What the hell?! That was so friggin' pathetic!

In the manga Hellsing is an vampire-fighting organization and their main man is a vampire. So, it basically has nothing to do with the movie. Like I said, it didn't bug me as much when I saw it again, but some of the things, like the ending...I mean, you just have to ask what the hell where they thinking?

In regards to Gaia's Halloween event: I am pissed about my avatar now having a mouth! I don't want one! Ever since I changed back from a vampire, it's had those annoying added pixels. Why isn't there a "No mouth" option? It makes no sense? Is there a reason we are being forced to have a mouth now? My avatar just doest't look like my avatar anymore! Sorry, I just needed to whine and rant. sweatdrop

Or maybe we'll just have to go delete our avatars to get the no mouth option again. This sucks. Cause then I'll have to go buy new hair again. Which I just did. *whines* Damn Gaia. And is it just me, or did the event end early? Like, twelve hours early?
