I am Shanra the Bard, but you can just call me Cap or Shanra.
I am 47, yes, I said 47 and I have been a RUSH fan since the late 70's. I was in love with Neil, because of his hair I think and Geddy's nose just freaked me out too much.
I think 2112 is the best of their albums to date, though they are all good in their own right.
I have alway wished I could play the guitar, so I could do the solo rift in Temples.
I saw the boys this past summer, had great seats and an overall blast for a couple of hours. It was really cool to see so many parents there with their kids. The boys may be getting old, but their appeal to the masses hasn't deminished.
I don't play any instruments really. Tried to learn drums in middle school, but that didn't go anywhere, as my parents couldn't afford to buy or rent a set. Played the bells while I was in middle school instead. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is like an xylophone only you hold with one hand propped up against your side, while you use your other had to strike the bars with the stick. Very awkward to do while you are marching.
My daughter Rhia, on the other hand also tried her hand at drumming, we even bought her a set, but she never followed through on it. Now at the tender age of 20, she has decided to take up the violin and is doing quite well with it after only 4 months of lessons, once a week.
Well, that's enough about me. If you want to know more, feel free to send me a PM. Please don't post your questions here.
