Girl_lover5 I remember reading something about after about 500 charges you need a new battery... I lost my book dammit. I don't know where to get a new battery... I think u might have to order a new one from nintendo when your old one dies. Unless they have them at some special battery place.

I think they sell some 3rd party batteries at Radio Shack. It's the closest you can get to not having to order one online. 3nodding

By charging, do they mean "zero-power to full-power", or simply plugging the AC in? Because, I tend to play my DS halfway during the day, then plug it in and leave it over the night.

Not true! You will still have over 70% of your battery life after 500 recharges (by the wording in the manual I'm assuming full charges). Yes, I actually did read the manual.

I'm not really worring about my battery until I notice a significant difference in the life of it.

I've seen them for sale at Target and you can order them from Nintendo's website.

Swordsman of Darkness I tend to play my DS halfway during the day, then plug it in and leave it over the night. I checked with my dad about this. Dun worry about it, the battery is an Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) battery, so it won't loose capacity.
Also, I'm sure most games stores that sell the DS will sell a replacement battery.

I think I read in the manual that after 500 charges you still have ALOT of power left . . . but I play it like all day and plug it in overnight almost every day . . . confused

Ahh yes. I had known about 70% being left, but I didn't mention it because I forgot.
