Already thought of and debated to death, but a hybrid of Ratchet and Clank, and also Jak and Daxter. I don't know how the hell they would make it work but I would love to see it happen.

You make a good point, It may be considered a great sin on this guild to say this but my favirot game would have to be final fantasy 7, then 9, then 8, then ratchet and clank, then jak.

sorry if this makes you sad.

Geez... I'm surrounded by fanfiction fanatics.

I don't know why in the world would you think up something like that, but the idea is... and I'm sorry to say...stupid.

I have been following Insomniac for 9 years and I highly doubt they would do that.

As for the whole favorite game, maybe you should refer what Nefarious posted about the UK mag. I, too, believe that Ratchet and Clank are the mascots of PlayStation. Just like Insomniac Games did for the PS with Spyro the Dragon, they're still holding strong of being an icon.

As far as Final Fantasy goes, yeah sure... they've been around for a long time. But for my taste, I hate RPG games. I love blowing S#!+ up! But do you do that with Final Fantasy? I doubt it.

As for Jak and Daxter, I have never followed them. I have Part 1 and I beaten the game, but after that... it became much more like GTA. So, I continued on with Insomniac.

How dare you have your own opinion, and it even makes sense!!

I really like it when people state there opinion and give a reason. I hate it when people just say they hate it as in = Final Fantasy sucks a**, for the reason I like final fantasies, it is due to the reason I like turn base fighting styles, a heavy rpg system, and a good story line. So I seem to get that from final fantasy.

I understand the reasons that you wouldn't like this game, but with my stuipidity I seem to think it is a good idea...... ninja

Well, to be honest, it doesn't have to be out of stupidity. It just has to make sense. Naughty Dog and Insomniac are really good affiliates, but making a hybrid of their games... I don't think so. You have to look at the logic of things. Why would they make such a thing? Just ask yourself that.

I think that what it takes of being a video game designer. Sometimes, you just have to see what message they're trying to convey through the whole blowing stuff up or beating the snot out of everybody.

Heh, that would be my reasons to become a video game designer. And hopefully, I would like to work for Insomniac Games.

As for Final Fantasy, as I said before, it's just not my taste. I love Platform much better. I love walking around freely and do whatever the heck I want. With Final Fantasy, you don't have that much freedom.

I understand that you like people to explain their reasons, like I did. It's common sense to give reasons.

I agree with almost everything you said, maybe everything. I REALLY like final fantasy, but for the reason you explaind how you don't like it, its imposible to just play that. So, I play other games as in the .hack series, ratchet and clank, drakengaurd, jak, tekken, garrysmod[a super fun mod for fallout(probibly my favirot online game)] Its basicly a qhysics engine with a game slaped on it, and much much more........ huh.

Well, I must say that it's good to have more favorite games than just one. I, for one, favor Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter (FIRST PART ONLY), Burnout, and Dance Dance Revolution (I'm only a Standard!). But Ratchet and Clank will forever be my favorite duo.

Yes, I know that all games has a physics engine (Use SpellCheck next time if you're having trouble spelling words...), yet sometimes they are conveying a message to people.

-ponders a bit-

Take Okami for example. Okami is a game that uses a drawing engine (A MUST PLAY!! That would be my origin of my Gaia name). If you draw a line, you create a powerslash. Draw a circle, you create the sun or you can bloom sakura trees.

But beyond all these really cool stuff you do in a game, there is always a message. For Okami, it's Resolve. The resolve to do better things and help for the greater good.

There's always a story to tell in these games. Especially Platformers and RPG games.

I don't have spell check..... emo

and this game, garrysmod, is all just a physics engine. Thats all it is, no storyline, none of that, you just build. build build build. You can also use tools as thrusters, balloons, no calide, keep upright, people make some crazy stuff on that game...... Me personaly make torpedos with thrusters stuck on the back. twisted

This seems like one of the threads that involve deep thinking...

I enjoy games in which there is a good, solid story plot, and has good gameplay. I like to think of games as a form of entertainment that brings you further into the adventure than a book may be able to. (Not that books aren't able to!)

A crossover between the two may best be left to the minds of fanfiction writers. I personally have no idea how you would control which character, and make them work out with one another (Jak and Ratchet wouldn't have that peaceful of a friendship) in a game. But, what do you know? Nothing's impossible.

I also can't see any way of it being made, but I just liked the idea of it. sweatdrop

I think its important not to be a fanboy/fangirl of a certain genre or series... I for one love Halo, GTA, R&C, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Dead pr Alive, Elder Scrolls, Classic Spyro, the original Crash Team Racing, Kingdom Hearts, Spiderman 2, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Black, Tomb Raider, Command and Conquer 3, Battle For Middle Earth, World of Warcraft, Timesplitters, Pokemon games (not the cards or TV show), The Sims, SimTower, SimCity,Worms, Onimusha Blade Warriors, Time Crisis, Burnout, Hitman, God of War,... the list is almost endless... I like a lot of genres...
