The gods and goddesses created and ruled the world long ago. The first was Sol, the God of creation. From himself he created Myulin, the goddess of Harvest. While Sol’s brother’s dead body created the Earth, his breath the sky, and his broken sword the moon and the stars, Sol created the oceans from his tears and created the land of the dead in which he placed his brother’s soul.
Sol created all creatures and Myulin gave them names. One of the races were the elves, which Sol created in his image and loved the best. All the gods blessed the elves and made them stronger, faster, smarter and more beautiful than any other being. However Cernunnos, Sol’s brother, did not bless the elves and they were a pure race filled with light…and also innocence.
The Gods gave the world to the Elves and created heaven for themselves which became known as Aircetria, the City of Dawn, also known as the realm of the gods. They then built a path connecting the heaven and the Earth. It was named the Heavenly Path and the light from the path and from the gods made life on Earth flourish greatly.
However the elves soon began to think they’re powers equaled the Gods and built the Aerial City of Fort Ouph. They wanted to be treated as Gods themselves. Sol, furious at their egotistical demands, smited them by striping away their strength, and beauty and thus turned them into humans.
The humans, though not as beautiful or strong as the elves were smart and wrought with bitter jealousy at the gifts the Gods placed upon other being among them. They fought many times against the other races and their ignorance angered both the Gods and the Beasts. The human’s trickery and cunning could only anger them more.
The Gods fell to despair over the human’s deeds and thus created Morrigu Barrow, a giant gate that sealed the heavenly path. When the light from the Gods was gone the darkened Earth was plagued with terrifying monsters that ravanged towns and slaughtered families.
But the Savior of the World was a mage who prayed for many days at Arche Koeln and gave his life to call upon six spirits and two goddesses that would protect the world. It was then that Anu the Star Goddess and Aura the Light Goddess were born. Thanks to the presence of these spirits the Shadow was contained and a brief peace befell the land. However the humans did not sit idle long, and war quickly ensued once again. One by one the saddened Gods left the earth to seek refuge in Aircetria until only Aura remained. Fearful that the Shadows could return if all the Gods departed, the humans placed eight curses on Aura and sealed her inside the Hule Granz Cathedral.
The Gods were furious when they discovered Aura was imprisoned, and vowed to destroy mankind. Not wanting to just sit around and die, the humans decided they would fight back, and began to use their magic to invent a weapon to fight against the Gods. Thus the most violent and bloodiest battle began.
The humans were no match for the Gods immense powers. Under the might of the Gods the Aerial City of Fort Ouph fell from the sky. The Highland City of Dun Loireag was then crushed beneath it. The Cultural City of Carmina Gadelica was destroyed by Lanceor, the God of Lightning and many lives were lost. In one last attempt to win the war the humans took Aura’s power, turned it into a powerful energy, and fired it at the Realm of the Gods. The Heavens burned and many Gods died.
But some of the gods survived…
Those Gods were forgotten…
And the Gods will rise again…
