The gods and goddesses created and ruled the world long ago. The first was Sol, the God of creation. From himself he created Myulin, the goddess of Harvest. While Sol’s brother’s dead body created the Earth, his breath the sky, and his broken sword the moon and the stars, Sol created the oceans from his tears and created the land of the dead in which he placed his brother’s soul.

Sol created all creatures and Myulin gave them names. One of the races were the elves, which Sol created in his image and loved the best. All the gods blessed the elves and made them stronger, faster, smarter and more beautiful than any other being. However Cernunnos, Sol’s brother, did not bless the elves and they were a pure race filled with light…and also innocence.

The Gods gave the world to the Elves and created heaven for themselves which became known as Aircetria, the City of Dawn, also known as the realm of the gods. They then built a path connecting the heaven and the Earth. It was named the Heavenly Path and the light from the path and from the gods made life on Earth flourish greatly.

However the elves soon began to think they’re powers equaled the Gods and built the Aerial City of Fort Ouph. They wanted to be treated as Gods themselves. Sol, furious at their egotistical demands, smited them by striping away their strength, and beauty and thus turned them into humans.

The humans, though not as beautiful or strong as the elves were smart and wrought with bitter jealousy at the gifts the Gods placed upon other being among them. They fought many times against the other races and their ignorance angered both the Gods and the Beasts. The human’s trickery and cunning could only anger them more.

The Gods fell to despair over the human’s deeds and thus created Morrigu Barrow, a giant gate that sealed the heavenly path. When the light from the Gods was gone the darkened Earth was plagued with terrifying monsters that ravanged towns and slaughtered families.

But the Savior of the World was a mage who prayed for many days at Arche Koeln and gave his life to call upon six spirits and two goddesses that would protect the world. It was then that Anu the Star Goddess and Aura the Light Goddess were born. Thanks to the presence of these spirits the Shadow was contained and a brief peace befell the land. However the humans did not sit idle long, and war quickly ensued once again. One by one the saddened Gods left the earth to seek refuge in Aircetria until only Aura remained. Fearful that the Shadows could return if all the Gods departed, the humans placed eight curses on Aura and sealed her inside the Hule Granz Cathedral.

The Gods were furious when they discovered Aura was imprisoned, and vowed to destroy mankind. Not wanting to just sit around and die, the humans decided they would fight back, and began to use their magic to invent a weapon to fight against the Gods. Thus the most violent and bloodiest battle began.

The humans were no match for the Gods immense powers. Under the might of the Gods the Aerial City of Fort Ouph fell from the sky. The Highland City of Dun Loireag was then crushed beneath it. The Cultural City of Carmina Gadelica was destroyed by Lanceor, the God of Lightning and many lives were lost. In one last attempt to win the war the humans took Aura’s power, turned it into a powerful energy, and fired it at the Realm of the Gods. The Heavens burned and many Gods died.
But some of the gods survived…
Those Gods were forgotten…
And the Gods will rise again…

Her body glowed under the light of the sun forever suspended in it's setting state. Her eyes sparkling as the light passed through the giant arched windows before her. She stood in Hule Granz, a cathedral built by the humans many many years ago. Her blue eyes stared sadly at the marble pedastal that was now empty, as it had been for nearly hundreds of years. Her hands clasped together and she bowed her head as if to pray.
"Sister..." She muttered softly, her voice a brilliant song.
"Where are you?"

Welcome To The World

When she opened her eyes the sight immediatly took her breath away. The Graphics were so real it was hard to beleive it was just a game. Saku looked at her new character and smiled. It was cute.

"Hey." Called a voice she new all to well and she turned to see another player looking at her.
"It took you long enough to log in." He said.
"My computer download took forever." Saku appologized to him. He smiled.
"No sweat. Now that you're here though, let's take this character out for a spin. I'll show you everything you need to know about 'The World'."

Welcome To The World

So busy fidgeting with his headset, the boy didn't immediately notice that he'd started the game. When he did realize that he was logged in, he was blown away by the look of it. Everything was so... real. Maybe this game would hold his interest for more than a week.

He glanced around, then wandered off, looking for the shops in the starter town. He'd load up on the essentials, then head out to get past the idiotic 'noob' stage that was the same in almost every game.

"And finally-" The boy said as they gated into a new area.
"Is my favorite place, Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground, the Hule Granz Cathedral."
"This is great Zane!" Saku exclaimed. "I was so nervous about joining, but you really do have fun in this game."
"It's easy to get swept away, huh?" Zane smiled. "Come on, the best part is inside."

The large wooden doors creaked and moaned as they opened them, and the additional light cuased shadows to fly up the walls.

"Wow..." Was all Saku could say. Zane laughed.
"I know. This way." He led her to the front.
"See that marble stand?" He asked.
"Well duh. It's right there." Saku teased.
"Not what I meant! You see, there used to be a statue there." Zane said.
Saku blinked.
"Of who?" She asked.
"A goddess." Zane replied. "Legend has it that she was imprisoned in stone, then during the Great War the humans took her powers and fired it at the Gods to defeat them. Some say she died...." His eyes sparkled. "But I don't think she did."
"What was she called? She had a name right?" Saku asked.
"Yes." Zane replied. "They called her, Aura the Light Goddess. When all the gods lost hope for the humans and left, she was the only one who stayed behind...And she paid a terrible price....But-" He gave Saku a cheerfull smile.
"They say that she could grant wishes."
"What would you wish for?" Saku asked. "I mean, if she was still around?"
"i don't know...Something really good, definately. What about you Saku?"
"I...would wish for my real family..." Saku said. "To meet my blood mother and father....and sister or brother if I have any. I'd want to see them, and know why they sent me away in the first place."
oops. Mistake one of the day for Zane. He cleared his throat.
"Speaking of parents, how are your foster parents?" He asked.
"Um...actually..." Saku looked down. "I might be moving..."
Crap. Mistake number two allready.
"WHAT!? Why!?" He asked.
"They're having trouble right now." Saku said.
"Well then....where are you moving to?" Zane asked, dreading the answer.
"Hokkaido..." Saku muttered, barely above a whisper.
In both the game and real life, Zane's chin hit the floor.
"Hokkaido!? But...but...That's HOURS away! Even by Train!" He said. "I mean, I didn't mind you moving prefectures, cuase I can still take the subway to your house....but Hokkaido?"
"I know..." Saku said. "I don't want to leave either...."

Back in town, Varnorose was staring blankly at the chaos gate.

"... Ah... Crap."

Things had been easy to figure out so far, but he was stuck now. Every attempt to go somewhere came up with some level 15 area. And he knew damn well he couldn't handle that. Muttering to himself, he kept screwing around, hitting the random button.

Eventually, he got to a level three area and decided that he wasn't going to do better any time soon. He gated out, still looking quite frustrated.

Welcome To The World

Esthar Looked around when she logged in. She had been playing for a while now, but the graphics still amazed her.
Every time I come here, it seems like the graphics get better and better... She sighed happily at the thought, standing there for a moment, thinking of the first time she joined and logged in. Esthar shook her head and headed off into town, looking to form some random party.

When they reappeared in Mac Anu after a long, uncomfortable silence at Hule Granz Saku was still quiet.
"H-hey.." Zane said and smiled at her.
"Don't let it get you down. This is why you joined isn't it? So we could still spend time together."
"It's not the same," Saku muttered but she smiled, "But it's still better than not talking at all."
"That's the spirit." Zane replied. "Now let's get some healing materials for you and I'll level you up real quick."

They hurried out of the dome and headed for the central square.
"You know...I wonder if any one else is on. I'd like you to meet some of my friends. Especially Esthar." Zane said, stopping for a moment to scroll through his party list.
"Ah ha!" He exclaimed and hurriedly typed a short mail that would appear directly on Esthar's screen.

Hey Esthar! Guess what? I got someone for you to meet. I'll think you'll get along good. Meet us in the Alchemy District.

"Come on." He said, grabbing saku's hand and leading her to the Alchemy district in Eastern Mac Anu.

Back in town, Varnorose grinned at the chaos gate. He wasn't really paying attention to the fact that he looked more than a little crazy, but he wouldn't have cared much even if he had been. He'd cleared a couple fields and was already leveling up! Granted... things were still going fairly slowly compared to most games, but he was still making progress.

Turning, he walked further into town to wander around some before heading back out to level some more. He reflected on how important breaks were as he hummed.

Esthar jumped at the sudden short mail. She quickly typed back:
Ok, be there in a sec.
(By the way, you scared me.)

She skipped over to the alchemy district, passing a red haired Macabre Dancer.

Vira glanced back at the cheerful Twin blade, then headed towards the dome to find some newbies to "help".

Zane smiled at the message Esthar sent him.
Sorry. He replied breifly and turned to Saku.
"You'll like Esthar. She's really cool." He said.
"You sure?" Saku asked.
"Absolutely!" He leaned against the fountain in the middle of the district.
"Just wait and see."
As they waited several people shouted greeting to Zane and a few stopped to chat.
"You seem quite popular." Saku said.
"Yeah, well...It's not me. It's the guild I'm in." Zane said. "We're a Newb Support Guild so most of the people saying hello are people I've helped out in the past."
"Guild?" Saku echoed.
"Yeah. It's a group that forms under a common goal. Once a Guild is formed it get's its own @Home and if it gets big enough its own area. You can also join more than one Guild if you wanted to." Zane explained.
"Cool." Saku grinned. "So there's more to this game than just leveling up."
"Better beleive it." Zane replied and grinned as he spotted Esthar.
"Hey Es! Over here!" He called.

Esthar bounded up to the two.
"Hey Zane!" She said happily, then looked at Saku, "This the awesome person you wanted me to meet?" She smiled warmly at her.

"Yeah. this is Saku. She goes to my school." Zane said.
Saku, sudenly feeling shy, jumped behind the fountain, but peeked over the edge.
"Saku...." Zane muttered and laughed.
"Sorry. She's unpredictable. Come on, Saku. Get your butt over here."
Saku walked over and held out her hand.
"Hi." She said then a smile came to her.
"I'm saku."

"Name's Esthar" The twin blade said, putting a hand on the hilt of one Spiral Edge.
"Esthar the mighty Twin Blade at your service!" She smiled.

"Getting ahead of ourself aren't we?" Zane asked but smiled.
"We just bought Saku some supplies and I was going to take her to a dungeon. Do you want to tag along, Esthar?"

"Sure!" Esthar beamed, "It's no fun beating the crap out of monsters on my own." She drew her Spiral Edge, the rare blades gleaming in the sunlight. "Plus, I'd like to test these out." She formed a crazy smile that probably meant she'd find some ultra-strong monster to fight a bit later on.
