About a year ago, BurdaMode (a European pattern company) launched a new site, BurdaStyle, in which free patterns are release for the public to download. One has to have a user account on the site, but that is free as well. This is completely legal, and was started by BurdaMode to encourage people to edit patterns and make them original. All patterns are non-copyrighted.

BurdaStyle's patterns are not exactly Lolita, but they can be made so very easily. They have a wide range of patterns for your perusal.

The very nice thing about this particular site is, one can download a pattern and print it off on a home computer ( "print at home" ). The pieces come with little arrows to match up, and if one leaves a nice margin, they can be taped together. (I recommend taping them together on both sides.)

This site carries some very nice patterns that are hard to draft. Yes, skirts are very easy, but what about elegant, tailored coats?

I suppose not many Lolitas know about this, so I am going to be the first one to tell them. Good luck, and feel free to drop me a line if you need help downloading patterns or anything else, really.

That sounds fabulous! I absolutely must look into this site.
