Ivalice
A large, beautiful world teeming with sky pirates, monarchs, and street rats. Balthier, Fran, Larsa, Vaan, Penelo, Ashe, and Basch all came from Ivalice at one point. Ashe currently rules the city of Dalmasca. Rabanastre is a great item stop.

The ship touched down smoothly at Ivalice's aerodome. Everything around looked fairly normal, no heartless just huge skyscrapers made of strange materials and airships like the one they were in flying about everywhere. Technology and people filled the city.

Sion gawked at the sight of this world known as Ivalice. It looked wonderous from far away, but now that the Strahl had landed, it looked even more amazing. Utterly magnificent. The brunette knew he must have looked silly with his face pressed up against the glass of the window, but he just couldn't help himself. The view coupled with the fact that he would soon begin training as the keybearer was so overwhelming, and he reacted the only way he really could: babbling on and on about how excited he was and jumping about like a preschooler on his first day of school, eager to go but scared by the new surroundings.
Fran stood up from her seat and took her position next to the door. She gestured for the others to get off the airship. And for the first time, she noticed Larsa had returned. She gave him a curt nod, bidding him a kind welcome back. The next thing the sky pirate noticed was a small fairy-like individual. She didn't remember that present before they left Backwards Town, and something Fran really disliked were stowaways.

Nathaniel shouldered his pack and headed outside, rapidly blinking as his eyes took a moment to adjust to the sunny surroundings. "Beautiful," he murmured, turning to thank Fran for the ride.
Just when she was about to go talk to the pilot, the craft landed. Which meant that Aurume would have to get off the ship, which meant that Ezzy would have to follow, which meant that she wouldn't get to talk to the pilot, which meant that once again Ezzy's quest for love had hit a brick wall. She mentally grumbled to herself as she vanished and reappeared outside, looking about. She looked at Nathaniel out of the corner of her eye, noticing he had a book. Of course he would have a book. He always had a book and - wait... Oh, Aurume! The book Ren wanted you to find! Don't forget it!
Pleased she remembered to remind Aurume, the Djinn grinned.
Aurume, a quick question. Are we to kill the Keybearer before he completes his training? He's no threat now, really, since he doesn't know how to use his weapon, but if we let him live much longer... He'll have that blade bashing the "baddies" - like us - to bloody pulps in no time.

[[No you didn’t, I was just being lazy, sowwy! XD]]
No, not yet.
Aurume said mentally.
Ren needs him to be strong enough to defeat Kale, then we kill him. Only after Ren has his heart back. Otherwise I wouldn’t have suggested training him.
She slowly brought her hand in between the cushions on her seat, touching the cover of the book. “Hey guys, wait a sec.” She said, and gave it a sharp tug to free it. It was a large, hardcover book with a picture of a key on it. “It says…’Kingdom Hearts’.”
[[Lol, funny gif. ]]

((*shakes fist* Curse you Neomi, but thank you for the compliment on my GIF. XD))
Ezzy blinked. Ah. I suppose that makes sense. She popped back into the ship, still invisible, to watch how everyone reacted to the mysterious appearance of this book.
Nathaniel poked his head back inside the Strahl, curious as to why he was still the only one outside. It seemed a book was the cause of the commotion. "Kingdom Hearts?" he asked, mainly thinking aloud.
The Djinn repeated the question mentally. Kingdom Hearts? Is that where rogue hearts are harbored? Would we be able to attain Ren's taken ticker if we went there? Since it had been only her mission to make sure Aurume located the book, she hadn't bothered to look at it.
"I wonder what type of book it is. Is it a journal of someone who's been there, or a field guide or encyclopedia that would tell you anything you'd need to know?" His mismatched eyes were bright with curiosity as he placed his hands in his pockets, thinking aloud, unable to trust himself. With his hands out of his pockets it would be too tempting to take a look at the book himself.

ooc: Yeah, your GIF is cute, Iris. :] And sorries, I've been half-lazy half-busy lately too. -shakes fist at self- Stupid ela video project. I swear, camcorders hate me. D:
Sion was right behind Nathaniel, ready to got off the Strahl, but Aurume's voice stopped him. Kingdom Hearts? That sounded oddly familiar. Curious as anybody else would be, the brunette backtracked to take a look at this book that had so mysteriously appeared. "Where'd you find it, Aurume?" he asked, giving the large hardcover volume a once-over. There wasn't really anything too special-looking about this book save for the cover, which had the outline of a key on it. He might be imagining things but... "Does this have anything to do with the Kingdom Key?" he questioned next, unaware of anything the blond or anybody else might have said beforehand.

"Right under the seat." She shook her head, flipping though it’s pages. She had to admit, this was to be a surprise even for her. She didn’t know what Ren could possibly want with this book, but she assume it must be important if he was going to such lengths to plant it. “It’s a storybook.” She said, then began reading from it. “Erm…Once upon a time, there was a boy names Sora and his two best friends names Riku and Kairi. They were the closest friends in the whole wide world-…jeez, who writes this stuff?" She flipped thought a couple more pages, glancing at pictures of the main charater, and finally a key. "Hey, this is it! Sion, it's your key!"

Sion's eyes widened in surprise and stepped closer to look at the opened page. She was right. There was a young brunette boy holding the Kingdom Key. "You're right, it is! Heh, he even looks kinda like me," he said rather humorously. He couldn't believe it. What kind of storybook was this? "So this is one of those super special one-of-a-kind books with tons of secrets and information and stuff like that?" he inquired jokingly. The idea sounded unrealistic though. This was just a storybook. Something that parents read to children at bedtime, nothing more...right?

"How very odd... I doubt that the good Captain of the Strahl would have such a book - unless he perhaps pirated it and forget he had it..." Nathaniel frowned as he looked at the book. "It seems a little too convenient that you should find that book... Almost as if it was planted - someone wanted it found by the - ah... 'right' people."
Ezzy scowled darkly at the mage. He'd hit far too close to home for her comfort.

“I guess that’s exactly what it is…” She mused with a sideways glance at Nathaniel. Now that Nakia was gone she would have to steal her bottle and then do away with the mage, he was becoming too much of a bother. But then, if Nakia believed that he was in danger she would be twice as eager to comply with the Rebellion…
“Come on, let’s get off this ship and then we can keep reading…”

Ezzy kept close by Aurume, Nathaniel's "brilliant" deduction putting the Djinn on edge. She knew that he probably wasn't onto Aurume, but she also didn't think that he would have guessed the book was planted. Since she was here to watch out for her comrade, she had to be at least a little paranoid for Aurume's sake.
"Is there someone we can stay with here?" Nathaniel inquired, readjusting his pack. "Or are we going to be staying at an Inn?" He thought for a moment, scratching his chin. "I wonder if there's an abandoned warehouse somewhere nearby," he mused aloud. "Somewhere big with plenty of space to practice and train for the Keybearer." He continued to ponder such trivial things - including where the nearest eating establishment was, all the way outside, though he managed to keep the rest of his thoughts to himself. Outside, he removed his glasses to clean them off, letting his mismatched eyes scout the fuzzy, unfocused world for a nearby restaurant. When he placed his glasses back on he grinned, waiting patiently for the others.

Sion stared at the mage quizzically. He had certainly made an odd assumtion just now, but the brunette found it a bit far-fetched. "Oh c'mon. It's just a little kid's book. These things are everywhere," he said casually. People like Nathaniel thought too much about things. That's why Sion preferred not to think most of the time.
Evily filed out of the Strahl behind everyone else. That book Kingdom Hearts seemed rather interesting. Perhaps she could bring it with her to Backwards Town to read to the little girl and boy orphans who stayed at Vlair's home near her own. The woman was rather fond of sweet Marlene and little Denzel. They were always full of energy and loved it when she would visit and tell them stories. Smiling, she made a note to ask Aurume to borrow Kingdom Hearts.
Kadaj arrived finally in Ivalice behind Kale. "Ah, it's been much too long since I've seen Ivalice," the man sighed, swinging his arms open dramatically and taking a deep breath, remembering the unique scent of Rabanastre.

“Yeah, Sion’s right.” Said Aurume as she gathered up the book and left with everyone else. “But let’s read it, just for fun. It might be cool as part of Sion's training. And the cover's got a blue border!" Even in the midst of an inter-wolrd crisis, Aurume never could quite stop with the happy-blueness thing.
“A lot of people know about the keyblade.” Larsa added. “I wonder if it could just be a story someone wrote about it rather then an actual source of information…”
Kale was mesmerized. And he’d thought the Strahl was big! This place was huge! The aerodome was probably even bigger than Parallel Island! He stared like a tourist at just about everything he passed, half-ignoring Kadaj.
