Alright! Races, Humans, Elves and Orcs! And many more! XD Along with those are your element and combat skill descriptions!
Make sure it's a playable one though, the other ones are monsters. I'll even put up which is which so there won't be any confusion.
Don't be hesitant to suggest anything!
PLAYABLE RACES.
Elves : The elves are a long lived and noble race, they are regarded as beautiful and most of the time the tallest of the races. They are light skinned and their hair consists of Mostly black, browns and blonde's. Though they have occasionally held other colors. The elven home is a large luxurious kingdom surrounded and protected by a large forest. They had a king and queen, with a large respect for nature. Though they live in other places, and do venture outside the kingdom. The Elves, however, have a tendency to look down upon the other races. Seeing them as barbaric and degenerates. Though not all of them do. Max Age: 200 years.
Humans: The humans are a very clever and highly adaptable race. They live all across the planet and are of average height, sometimes on the taller side. They also have varying skin color's, ranging from light to dark. Their hairs colors are mostly browns, black, blondes and red. They too have hair that is occasionally another color. They mostly live in small and large towns, but do have a small kingdom where their king resides in his castle. They have recently come out of a long fight for survival and have begun to thrive again. Their relationship with other races are strained, but the King is friendly with the elven King, and the humans have always had good relations with the Dwarves. Max Age: 100 years.
Orcs: The Orcs are a tough and strong willed race. They mostly live in the wastelands due to oppression. They are of average height, perhaps slightly shorter than humans but very broad and muscular. They come in varying shades of green with mostly black hair. They have sharp teeth and animal-like eyes. Though they live in bad conditions, they do quite well with an excellent leader Cheiftan. They are slowly beginning to do trade with the humans and the other races are hesitant to make contact, the Elves especially. Max Age: 100 Years.
Dwarves : The Dwarves are a hearty and skilled race. They live deep in the mountains, as they've done forever. They are shorter than most of the races, with mainly red and brown hair.Also the race with the most facial hair. Though stout, they are strong and quite good tinkerers and weapon smiths. They are governed by a council that decides what they do. They have good relations with the humans, seem to bear no negative or positive feelings for the elves and are hesitant to contact the Orcs. Max Age: 120 Years.
Dark Elves: In relation to their cousin, the dark elf practices a dark magic and was banished from their home with the elves long ago. Many resent their light cousins and have vowed to one day pay tribute the the elven race that banished them to exile. They have black skin, and hair that ranges from blacks and whites, with every shade inbetween. Eye's range from almost all colors. Max Age: 200 years.
Vampires: Living in the darkness of the world, prowling through the nights are these fair skinned creatures. Years of existence have created many rumors for them. Some based on truth some one lies. They require blood to survive that is true but the whole intolerance to light is based on fiction not fact. Vampires perfer to feed during the night, it would be rather disasterious if they decided to feed in the light. Max Age: Immortal, can be killed.
Shifter: Shifters are much different from the other Races, they came into being from evolution and magic. Originally, they were nothing more than a kind of ooze. Over time however, as they came into contact with animals, they absorbed the DNA of the animal and used it to slowly alter their form. Working up the ladder they got a hold of more intelligent DNA some thousand years ago. Since then, they've been able to shape shift through the use of magic and the DNA that their ancestors had acquired. Though the whole 'DNA thing' is still unknown to them or Reeth. For them it's just magic. They can appear as just about anything, their true forms are Bipedal, because of the various DNA however, they can have just about any physical trait. Max Age: 130 years.
Werecanines: Unlike the typical werewolf species, the Reeth variety covers the entire Hyaenidae and Canidae families, from the aardwolf down to the Tibetan fox. They have three forms, human, animal and half, which may be either digitigrades or plantigrade depending on the individual. They are very strong and can withstand melee and ranged attack easily and heal at an astounding rate, seconds, minutes or hours depending on the wound, but they are very vulnerable to magical attack and cannot perform it themselves. The condition can be passed to humans by bite, but a person is only turned if the werecreature chooses to inject the necessary ‘venom’. Once bitten a person steadily becomes ill for up to 5 months before starting the first involuntary shift, after this other shifts are voluntary. The moon has no effect on transformation though they are notorious for becoming for aggressive during the full moon. Packs are common in communal species like wolves. Max Age: 200 years.
Hostile Nonplayable Races:
Goblins: The most common little nuisance in the world of Reeth, they've been around forever and there's not one person who doesn't complain about them. They're mostly green, bald and short. With sharp little teeth, wrinkled skin, long ears and big noses. They live in little camps in forests, hunting and stealing from other races. They're very unintelligent and have small speech skills. Though its hinted in some old scrolls and documents that they were not always this way. Max Age: ???
Trolls: Trolls are big hairy apelike things that live in caves and eat pretty much everything. With thick brown fur and leathery olive skin, they are frightening creatures. They rarely venture from their home except for food and to attack anything that gets close. Max Age: 30 Years.
Wild Animals : Big rats and wolves aren't really a 'race', but they are quite common everywhere. If you get too close they will attack or run. Many things fit in this category. Max Age: Varies.
Giant Bugs: These are mostly in caves and in the wastelands. But they are big, and they bite. Max Age: 1-5 years.
Dragons: These Also live in caves with large quantities of treasure. They are typically Humongous, have a hoard of treasure and can speak. They are are intelligent, but this is limited to advanced problem solving and crtical thinking. They live for long amounts of time and can breathe fire. It is ill advised to even think of fighting one or even trying to find one. Don't confuse them for lesser dragons though, they are much smaller and live together instead of apart. Max Age: 30,000 Years. Playable upon request. In other words. Ask me if you can before you do.
Imps: They are tiny flying bat like creatures with a slight humanoid appearance. They can shoot volts of lightning from their mouths and dwell around ruins and in trees. Though they can shoot lightning, it's not particularly powerful. Max Age: 40 Years.
ELEMENTS:
Every being has a natural element they are born with, but can be trained in the way in others for magical means. Every natural Element gives small specific advantage to everyone. This should only effect battles and things slightly.
Fire: Those born with this are slightly stronger and take more time to get worn out. Once they are though, they require rest.
Electricity: Those born with this have high amounts of energy, and regain it fairly quickly when lost, but they tend to lose it quickly. Also decent at healing up.
Water: Those born with this can stay calmer in some situations, keep a level head in a fight, though is also possible for the opposite to happen.Those with this are also able to cast more spells without tiring.
Nature: Those born with this have a knack for healing magic and tend to be able to take a hit better than most.
Wind: Those born with this are slightly faster than most. Also have a larger presence than most.
Light: Those born with this have a pleasant air around them. They also have good luck and keen eyes.
Darkness: Those born with this are stealthy, and are usually focused individuals.
COMBAT SKILLS:
Not everyone can fight, but those who can have certain skills in that area usualy have at least two of the following. You usually choose one main and a support, but do what you like and come up with what you want!
Main:
Swordfighting: One has skill with the ever faithful Sword.
Dual-Swords: Not as strong as normal Swordplay, but the second sword makes up for it.
Axe Fighting: One has skill with the powerful Axe.
Blunt Weaponry: One has skill with Maces and Morning-Stars.
Archery: One has skill with the bow and arrow. This can also be a sub-skill.
Scythe-Play: One has skill with a Scythe.
Long-Arm Weaponry: One has skill with a spear or halberd.
Dagger/ Knives combat: One fights with a dagger or knife, they usually know how to throw them as well. This can also be a sub-skill.
Dual Dagger Combat: One fights with two daggers.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: One fights with their hands. This is also a support.
Magic: Destructive spells, like fire and lightning! This can be more specific, like-
Fire magic.
Lightning Magic.
And so on.
Support:
Healing Magic: One can heal wounds and get rid of some poisons.
Quick Feet: One is quite fast and have good reflexes.
Strength: One is quite strong.
Sharp Eyes: One has good, keen eyes that spot things most don't.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: One can fight with they're hands if disarmed. This can also be a Main-skill.
Summoning: One can call Spirit's to their aid. By this, I mean that other than the six main spirits, there are other ones that reside in magical planes beyond our reach that we can call to us for aid through magic. They come in many shapes, sizes and powers.
We open a small doorway from our world to theirs, offering a bit of our magic in compensation for help. You can call out to a specific being, or to a random one that will accept your offer.
The amount of magic you give will determine the power of what you summon.
If you give out a little bit, you'll get something small, if it's about half, you get something fairly strong. If you give it all, then you'll bring forth something truly formidable. Be warned though, you'll be weak at this point, going all out when summoning could have consequences.
Beast-Tongue: One can communicate with animals. Said to be a rare gift.
Tree-Tongue: One can communicate with nature.
