Okay, this may sound lame, but I want to ask the classic "Why do you support IchigoxOrihime."
I've been challenged often enough; I'm currently in an IchiHime thread and IchiRuki supporters keep posting. One in particular is demanding, she turns any and all evidence down saying it's "virtually meaningless." Anyway, I want to be able to support IchiHime fully, so I thought this guild would be a great place to pool resources. Post away, please!

I support IchiHime because I've always found the interaction they had with one another cute. I just liked the two of them together from the moment I first started the series.
I suppose this is going into reasons as to why I dislike IchiRuki, as well, but I've always found the two of them to have a more sibling-like relationship. He jokes around with Rukia, sure, but I don't see any romance between them. I think he seems to appear gentler and a bit calmer around Orihime, and I always found it cute the way he would worry about her when she spaced out or acted ditsy. He hasn't really shown any romantic feelings towards her, but I think he really cares about her, and I don't think it would be a stretch if he did start to like her, either.

I dont understand how anyone can deny what Ichigo himself said. He owed Rukia for giving him the means to protect his family. He wasnt depressed when Rukia was taking back to SS. Things were back to way they were before she entered his life.
The case in Orihime's disappearance is that Ichigo shut himself off from everyone. He was an empty shell, reliving hearing that Orihime was gone and that no one was allowed to go get her. Thinking of how she had obvisiously went to see him before she left. Missing her so deeply that he would have gone ALONE to HM to rescue her. He didnt want Chad and Ishida to go. You dont hear him say anything to Chad, Ishida, or Orihime when they go to stop Rukia's execution.
And he knows that he would run into Hollows, Arrancar and Espada and possibly Gin, Tousen and Aizen. All of those people are incredibly stronger then people from Soul Society. Only a few are capable of holding their own, which they do just barely.
Rukia never felt or acted in ANYWAY infatuated with him, she looked out for him as a mentor. When Renji says not to go to him after Byakuya first attacks him destroying Rukia's powers in his body, she only wanted to go to his side because it was her fault that it happened. She looked to this situation as a similar to her situation with Kaien.
Ichigo never once acted overly friendly with Rukia. He isnt the type of guy to be like a 5 year old boy and be mean to the girl he likes. Ichigo is more mature then that. He has offered Orihime once maybe twice to walk her home. VOWing that he would protect her without fail. That in itself screams he wants to be Orihimes knight in shining (floral) armor. He finds Orihime attractive and is always sneaking glances at her in Gym class in her gym uniform. How about the fact that when she did the "Bwa-hahahah" to him, he didnt yell at her, except told her why he was there. Yet when Rukia did the same thing he yelled at her.
Flash forward to Ichigo and Orihime's reunion in HM, Ichigo is in NO rush whatsoever to go find Rukia (or Chad). He's main concern is Orihime and will be til he has brought her back home to the Human World. How about the soft look he had in his eyes when he looked at Orihime (and his adoptive arrancar daughter Nell) and this wasnt just a one-time look, he gave her that look SEVERAL times.
Let's just face it, Kubo-sama is and always has been a shipper of Ichigo and Orihime. Need more proof, check out of the pilot chapter of Bleach. And I havent even mentioned once the significance of all the Tanabata references. But with the 50k limit in posts I wouldnt be able to give justice to that piece of proof.

Hisokani-san, you're so cool~
xD
Ichigo and Orihime's relationship seems right. It just clicks. When I look at IchiRuki, I see a brother and sister bickering, and it seems strained when people throw around "proof of their love". It's like when fan(girl)s take two characters who are obviously straight, and turn it into a yaoi pairing. It's not how the creator intended it, and it just doesn't feel right.
This is a little offtopic, but where did you find the pilot? I've been looking everywhere, and can't find it!

I was worried I wouldnt make any sense.
One of the members at FLOL posted a thread for the pilot chapter with a link to download it and another member posted the images in the same thread (poor thing there are 45 pages to it)

Dude, the pilot is awesome. I only hope that Kubo-sensei decides to go with his preference (not like in FullMoon wo Sagashite, where Tanemura-sensei preferred EichixMitsuki, but went with TakutoxMitsuki).
"My name is Ichigo Kurosaki! I'm deeply in lo--"
Chibi Rukia is awesome. xD
But anywho, you made a lot of sense, Hisokani-san. Do you mind if I steal some of your argument when debating with the IchiRuki fans? =D

Be my guest, Fire. I keep my distance from pairing debates. I learned my lesson a few years ago when in an InuKag vs. InuKik war. They are nasty battles and so are the shippers (on both sides). I dont ever want to be in one again. I'll ship who I want and give my reasons to others who ship the same.
@ Beloved: What dont you follow hun?

Hisokani-san-- Yeah, I've experienced some of that as well. I tend to surround myself with stubborn people, so the debates we get into sometimes are a bit scary.
Whisper-chan-- If you're talking about what I posted, I was just rambling. No need to pay attention to my stupidity. =D But if that's not what you're talking about, then I have no clue what you mean. =D

The pilot chapter? It's the first chapter of BLEACH ever written. It's sort of the prototype. It's how Kubo-sensei suggested the idea to his editors... You start off with a one-shot, but with room to expand, and then if it isn't rejected, then you can start the actual series. ^-^
Normally by the time the pilot is approved, the creator already has developed it some more, so the two tend to be a lot more different (like the Naruto pilot. You wouldn't think the two are even related).

And another thing, when Rukia met Mizuiro (when Ichigo teaches/helps her how to drink from a juice box) he doesn't get jealous, infact all he says "be careful Rukia". When Orihime gets hit on, who's there to fend off would-be-suitors; Ichigo. It's not like has to, because Tatsuki is there, that is just proof that Ichigo wants 'Hime all to himself, but he's just shy to consciously admit that
