I'm writing a book, I want to know what you guys would think would be cooler for one of the main characters, a scythe or a katana?

I'd say the weapon choice depends on your story and character. Something more Oriental or swordplay type thing should have a Katana. A scythe could be more for the spiritual or mythical type story(Hey, Grim Reapers use them!).

Scythes are slightly more regal... and can look really cool (e.g Zasalamel from Soul Calibur 3)

Then I'd say scythe, unless your character has an Oriental background. Nope, he's from a completely different dimension. (no, I don't mean a dimension as in the 4th dimension..... I mean a compleatly different place, not really conected yet if I go by the storylin of the book(and don't worry, I'll use spell check on the book) So I'm going to use the scythe.
