Species Name: Mangon (MAN- gohn) lol...
Diet: Omnivore
Natural Habitat: Mountainous; dry.
Species/Type: Equine;Diplodactylus
Group name: Party
Size: Height at the shoulders, 7 to 11 ft; Weight: up to 2,200+ lbs
Origination:West Alps
Reproduction: Females can reproduce every six months. "Calves" can stay with their mother for nearly three years, in which time she separates herself from the party.
Defense: Mangon's are able to stand on their two hind legs, with the aid of their pronged tail. This way, they can strike out with there hooked claws. They have a tough, leathery skin.
Movement: When simply walking, they go on all fours. Though they have wings, they are vestiges. (Just as whales with pelvis and thigh bones. Or wisdom teeth.)
Interaction:Mangon's are a rather violent species, a reason why mothers take off until their young is old enough. The only interaction is between the females, while there is a single male "hording" them. If another gets close enough, they do battle. If the contender manages to succeed, the horde is his. No question from the females. Usually a battle to the death.
The male does the hunting here, by himself. In tough seasons, they can always resort to eating soft tree bark. At times the Lead will accept a son to aid him and the party, unless he worries the younger will make an attempt for the leadership. Then, he usually runs him off.
Party's are kept small, usually 1-3 females.
