Ok guys, let's see what you think. I'm doing a research paper for my English class and my topic is 'Should there be a public dress code?'. Now, I want legit reasons for your opinions as well as for everyone to repesct everyone else's right to have those opinions.
So spoon
Why do you feel that we should or shouldn't have a public dress code?

school wise, I do believe there should be dress codes. School is supposed to be about education, not about who's wearing what. people wearing too baggy of clothing can be a health hazard, as someone can step on their pants and trip in a stairwell or girls wearing very revealing clothing distract other students (I know this firsthand, even in honors/AP, in the past we've had a few girls get sent to the gym to pull out their gym shirts to wear that day instead, heh.) outside of school, I think it should be more loose, but honestly, I don't want to see things hanging out on you and I don't want you to see things hanging out on me that should be covered up, no matter what you look like. I'm a bit modest when it comes to clothing, though.

I don't think there should be a public dress code, but if you want to make people wear more clothing you should make the stars and famous people better examples for us. Also, clothing industries should design better things.
I can't tell you how many times I roll my eyes at how celebrities dress (as if they want to wear their birthday suit)
Also, You can never seem to buy womens clothes that don't try to show your chest, or pants that try to show off more than you would like. I tried buying a shirt for the winter and the neckline went down farther than my bra stare

well if your doing your paper in the US. there should not be a public dress code simply because it would go against the freedoms the country was founded on. my thoughts are if people wanna dress like sluts then let them, but they shouldnt b***h about the lack of respect, or poor treatment they recive. Also if they are gonna wear slut wear in winter they shouldnt b***h about frezzing.
